Hmmm wonder if this is for good or just a way to stop paying salaries on a cancelled season and they will attempt to restart when the coast is clear?
Of all the football startups we've seen over the past few years, this one looked to have the best chance at survival.
Assuming the CFL has some sort of season this year, this is going to have an impact. I could see several xflers heading north.

XFL formally filed bankruptcy petition today so it looks like they are folding the tent for good.
I don't see anyone else trying to start a spring league in the foreseeable future

The XFL filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy on Monday, three days after suspending operations because of the coronavirus pandemic.

It’s actually a shame bc it wasn’t half bad, but no way could they absorb the hit they took by Coronavirus, only playing half a season and paying players full salaries.

I really enjoyed it, it was and didn't expect to be the nfl, and that's why it worked
Basically another version of the cfl, had little changes from the nfl that I hope the league implements
Kickoff rule was great, onside rule was great, the access and replays were a huge improvement
I would think the nfl would want a league like this, the ahl and gleague for hockey and basketball help a lot, not only for a legitimate sort of minor league system, but also as a test environment for new rules
