WGC --FedEx St Jude Classic

Round 1

Niemann -125 vs JT Poston
Bradley +100 vs Phil

Bryson +160 vs Rahm
Homa +175 vs Todd/RCB

Everything via DK

DK- I like Hovland/Hadwin/Thomas/Webb as the top guys. Ancer/Leishman/Bubba/Hadwin mid card, Kisner/Palmer/Dahmen low

To win bets on Ancer (crazy value here, IMO), Hovland, Webb

Top 20s:
JT (-250)
Ancer
Billy Ho
Hovland
Kisner
Leishman
Fitz
Fleetwood

Top 10s:
Webb

Hadwin, Im, and Ancer in individual matchups (and Fleetwood over DJ)

I listened to Joel Dahmen this week on a podcast. Would expect him to do decent. Maybe top 20. Decent value, curious who he is lined up with as he has been in a bit of a slump.

2 outrights for me this week.....Reed and Hovland both 33-1. I would post my matchup plays but last time I did that I lost them all.

Why is this tournament not starting until 11am? Making these guys play in the ball sweat heat this afternoon....

Tour Championship is the same way

Got X, IM, Fatrick, Leish, Woodland, Lowry and a Double on Rahm/JT

Rest will be live.

No matchups although Billy Ho vs Spieth was there for taking but price got away.

Will add a few live.

Thought it was pushed back due to weather?

Is 5dimes still around? THey use to have matchups on the whole field. Before golf got popular and it was just me posting, i was able to find random injuries and hit at 70 to 80% clip. That was many moons ago before having our son. Now it's a lot more challenging.

Markets are much sharper now.

And yes, 5D is still around.

for offshores, BM has the best outrights by far.

Top 10 ball strikers from yesterday

Some notes

Simpson - He’s currently 12th in strokes gained tee to green and 65th in strokes gained putting. He's one of the better putters in the biz, he should improve tomorrow and on.

Xander - Bogey free round, and is first in SG off the tee.

Wolff - Been very consistent actually. He's in the really good plus side of ball striking past few weeks, sits at 3 right now... you got to think he improves around the green, may be value in him being high on that list, yet sits at 1 under.

I think it might be time for Rory to switch caddies. He needs to shake things up. Try something new. What a mess. How can someone so fucking talented struggle so much.

Makes no sense.
My favorite golfer, been following him since he was just curly head Irish boy. And I agree. Frustrating to watch at times

For the newbies betting golf, weeks like this one are always fun. No cut. Basically means, you can have a 12 or 14 shot lead and by the end of the week, you lose the bet.

Depending on how motivated a guy is, vs the other guy knowing he's not in contention and just checks out. Normally with a 12 shot lead and a cut, it would be over after 2 days.

Yup almost 10 years ago now, Rory won not 1 but 2 majors by 8 shots each. At that point i thought he would have another 8 to 10 by now. He has 2.

I think this is what has done him in mentally. I know he won after this, but this is some serious scar tissue.

Starts around the 6:30 mark where he hits it into the cabins, he comes back and hits nice shots on 11 and 12 but still makes a mess of them, then the tee shot on 13 was the death blow.

Thanks for posting this. I bet Webb yesterday at 40-1 solely based on this and he’s now 16-1.

Brooks was last in the field putting today. Last. He’s 5.5-1 now. Not sure who shows up tomorrow. He’s still striking it great.

Guys - I’m at the casino in Indiana. They posted FULL tournament matchups for the current tournament. They have Brooks -125 to DJ even though he’s up 4 strokes on him?? That cannot be real can it?
