Easy on EJax lol, he really has looked good for the Nats. Velocity is up and has hit 97 on the gun since returning to DC.I wouldnt play it but for SI. Edwin Jackson is never one for me to trust, cause I could hit him.

Very athletic guy, actually used as pinch runner quite a bit lately. I think for him, it has been getting his fastball back to the higher velocity and not relying so much on the breaking pitches. He is kind of renown for getting lit up, when he is hanging the breaking balls. I think there is enough of a velocity difference now with the good fastball that it is helping out his other stuff. Just my opinion from watching him the last 6 or 7 sts.Wait did he get a bionic arm?
Lol what a game that was 8 walks and 6 ks.timmy you have to realize I watched in both utter terror and exuberance him pitch a no-no....the stats from that game were insane. But he was still our guy!
Nova w/Cederstrom 14.1 ip, 8.16 era, 1.884 whip and Quintana 12.2 ip, 2.13,1.342.Pittsburgh 5-12 road vs. LH's, hitting .227 and scoring 4.66 r/9. Pirates are 8-9 over in those games.
Why? There's been slight movement toward Boston but these ARE two teams going in opposite directions. A situational play I like is in play here too, that of betting a decent pitcher coming off an outing in which he was embarrassingly awful. I would normally play this (and still might) but with both Kimbrel & Reed having gone 3 straight & 4 with the Yankees up next I would be amazed if Farrell considered using either tonight. That leaves a pretty big hole in the late innings rotation.I find the Tor/bosox line odd, if Nba fan were around he might concur
