Week 9 Discussion Thread

90,89,95. The total points UNM's last 3 games. UNM 3 straight 50 burgers. Haven't held an opponent under 35 this year. We get 65 as a total vs CSU this week? I'm not getting off the train this week.

With 3:12 to play in the third quarter of the Georgia at Texas game, Texas intercepted a pass at the Texas 46-yard line and returned it to the Texas 9 yard line. Texas was flagged for committing defensive pass interference on the play which resulted in Georgia maintaining the ball with a first down.

The game officials gathered to discuss the play, which is permitted to ensure the proper penalty is enforced, at which time the calling official reported that he erred, and a foul should not have been called for defensive pass interference. Consequently, Texas was awarded the ball at the Texas 9 yard line.

While the original evaluation and assessment of the penalty was not properly executed, it is unacceptable to have debris thrown on the field at any time.

PI is not reviewable

The disruption of the game due to debris being thrown onto the field will be reviewed by the Conference office related to SEC sportsmanship policies and procedures."

Yeah. Backup sure looked more than capable 2h vs Neb.
This is the most hype IU has maybe ever been in college football. All social media predicting what happens if IU and OSU/psu/Oregon finish 11-1.

And now they lost their QB. Dunno. This feels almost too good of a fade spot given Wash is the best team they’ve faced to date with the best qb they’ve faced.

Home game, sellout stadium, College Game Day there, noon start EST which means 9am Washington time, better offense and probably defense, better coach, better all around team, etc. No way Washington keeps the spread under double digits.

This cuse/pitt game tonight should be really good and lots of potential to cash passing game props imo!! The qb numbers are super high, gonna look into possibly picking out few wr, te, rb rec yards plays,

Cuse has really done well to get the run game working cause they couldn’t run a lick at the beginning the year, they been pretty good on the ground lately to give them some balance which is huge, McCord talented and can put up numbers but when they having to throw a ton he has a really bad habit of making some terrible balls, even outside all the int’s he has thrown there been one or 2 games he hit several defensive players right in the hands and they just dropped the ball, he made at least 3-4 throws that should have lost them the unlv game but the Rebs defenders made it clear why they played defense simply dropping several of the easiest int chances a defender will ever get!! Despite the improvement in the run game I do think it be tough for cuse to run the ball on pitt, they will absolutely be able to make plays thru the air but then you have to figure McCoy makes at least 1-2 bad mistakes as he will be under some pressure. My 1st thought was taking the points was tempting but I really worry bout McCord turning it over if Pitt takes the run game away and the offense falls on him.

I really hope Pitt beats Syracuse this week so we get a tasty line for SMU. Think they smoke Pitt next week.

I think pitt beats smu but we worry bout that later, havnt really dug in, just a buyer on pitt. This gonna be a tough game but I think Pitt run d and ability to run on cuse be the difference, McCord will def put up yards but when he asked to be the offense it inevitable he will make 3-4 throws that should be picked off. Think Pitt can get lead and pound on cuse d w Reid a bit, little scared to lay the points cause I do think it be close. Like Reid ov 81 rush yards. And think cuse has a few pass catchers who will go over their number. Leaning pena, and I like Meeks to go over 60 rec yards as I think he the guy who could get behind Pitt d once or twice. Should be a heck of a game, I’ve done well with both teams so im torn but I kinda been on this kick that Pitt gonna be undefeated going into hosting Clemson at home, this is def a huge 3 game stretch for Pitt, they could very well be a playoff team they can get past smu them beat Clemson, that pesky uvs game before clemson could be the spot the slip. Think you get your wish and Pitt pulls this out, run game, turnovers, and red zone superiority I think leads to Pitt pulling it out tonight.

This is what I came for. I’ve made a good money on Pitt games this year, was looking for your thoughts

Weed gummy kicking in, working it out now! Lol. Feel pretty good about going with Reid ov rush yards think that go long way to pit winning. And I really just not sure cuse will be able to run on pitt, McCord will get plenty of yards but he throws so many balls a game that either get picked or shoulda been picked. I think that the difference.

Pitt pass d worries me but I think they can deal w godsdan which will hurt cuse 3rd downs. Meeks and pena the 2 cuse WRs I think prob hit their yards. Once the field condenses tho I just expect Pitt will get a few turnovers in red zone. McCord takes way to many risk in those spots, especially when the run game isn’t helping him.

Both these teams have prob been as good for me as any all year so I’m kinda torn on the number. Lean to Pitt by a td but it won’t be easy. They gonna have to turn McCord over Cause cuse will def move the ball between the 20s.

I like the spot for Syr but missing best WR and top LB

Who would you say cuse best wr? I dunno who out! lol, pena great in slot, Gadsden great hybrid te but I don’t think he be a major factor tonight, I think they will need him to block more then have one his monster stat games. Meeks is the cuse wr I think can really pressure Pitt d. Pitt gonna have to get home with the pass rush enough to effect McCord, they do that he will make mistakes. When they don’t get to him he will for sure put up yards on the pitt pass d.

Pitt had a very tough game last week but this be cuse 3rd straight on road right? That tough.

Oh I see pena is questionable. That is a problem if he can’t go. I really think cuse gonna need to use Gadsden as a blocker as they have in a few games, if they splitting him out/sending him into routes I’m not sure he the most difficult cover for Pitt and it’s gonna let pit get pressure imo. Is pena for sure out? That would lead me to living Meeks prop but also make me more comfy laying the points w pitt, pena makes so many plays in the slot and makes a lot happen after catch, without him that just screams more chances for McCord to make bad choices!

Pena is out allegedly.

That hurts them bad on few levels, him or Gadsden what make them so good on 3rd downs, but I think cuse gonna need to use Gadsden blocking more here or the Pitt pressure on 3rd down will be a problem for McCoy. I do think it sets up a opportunity to maybe even play some Meeks alt numbers, he gonna be the guy that gotta hit pit biggest weakness which pass d and giving up big plays in the passing game. Even tho I need impressed with cuse finding a run game I’m not confident they be able to run successfully against pitt which again puts more pressure on McCord, who for 80% his throws is usually pretty great but he has some awful head scratchers, they were so lucky to beat unlv cause he hit multiple Rebs defenders right in the hands before scoring the td. Before that he did throw a pick in the red zone I believe. That the 2 things I think put Pitt over top here, I believe they can force McCord into a few turnovers and I think when they get the lead they will find running lanes for Reid against cuse d.

Reid ov 81 rush
Meeks 80 + rec
Mumfiekf ov 66 rec

The 3 props I think I like the most, I have slight under lean, don’t think it be low scoring by any stretch but I think both teams 3rd down defense is good enough to stall some drives, think Pitt is gonna get a few take aways when cuse gets into red zone. 62 just feels a bit high to me, obviously wouldn’t be shocked if they went over but I really feel like this played closer to mid 50s. Amd if pena out im much closer to being willing to lay the points, odd line is going down tho?

Not sure if it's been discussed elsewhere but I made the mistake of tuning into that Liberty / Kennesaw thing last night. Chadwell and that team were as flat as any team I've seen in a long time. I get it, it's an 0-6 team, you're a 27-point favorite and all that. But no one on the sideline, starting with Chadwell, seemed to have any level of interest. None. Every time the camera panned to Chadwell he looked like he had lost his 1st born or something.

If pena out def feel better bout Pitt laying the points, either way I do think this a td win, but if it came down to a fg wouldn’t shock me, really gonna depend on McCord ability not to turn it over in red zone, if Cuse can match red zone efficiency could come down to last team with the ball and the over. I tend to think Pitt is gonna get pressure on McCord, he will hit some chunk plays but I think even tho pitt pass d is incredibly suspect I think they will have more success than a lot of teams keeps Allen out the backfield and Gadsden in check, it the Meeks and Pena’s that would give them problems, so again if pena doesn’t play I really like Pitt but I still see props up for him so he could play?? Even so I think once the field conferenced and cuse gets to the red zone if they can’t run McCord will make a few crucial mistakes. If Pitt is able to hold them off the board for multiple possessions I think they can really stress the cuse defensive scheme running with Ried which should open things up for Holstein who I just trust more than McCord cause he doesn’t make the 3-4 head scratching throws a game.

USC is great against the rush. Can Rutgers pass well enough across the country in a must win for USC? USC has played toe to toe with PSU at home, and gone on the road and had better teams than Rutgers beat before giving the wins away. Line seems big, but if you make Rutgers one dimensional - I think you can blow the doors open like Wisconsin did and USC offense is better.

God all those pick 6’s killed any chance to cash Reid props, Pitt had no need to play starters much or even much opportunity as the d Kept scoring. I was on mark with them Turning McCord over but I didn’t expect them to all be pick 6’s! Lol

Gotta roll with boise tonight imo, unlv is a one man passing show, last year after white took boise apart in the 1st half they changed up and totally took him away after the half, I’d expect they take him away from the jump tonight. The real kicker for me was the way cuse went to Vegas and ran the ball all over the Rebs, as we saw last night cuse run game isn’t exactly great! Boise gets the run game going with the best back in the country and think their d can cause problems for what Rebs offense runs.

The fact Boise almost won at Oregon earlier this year also stands out as to why they should win tonight. Thats huge factor to me

Gotta think Boise gonna bracket the hell out of white, no way they let him beat them or move chains in key spots, Rebs gonna have to have another wr step up but their qb hasn’t exactly mastered going thru reads, he strikes me as one read then take off kinda guy. Think Boise will have a plan for this and I just don’t think Rebs can stop the run game, their d gonna end up being on the field a lot imo and they gonna wear down similar to the cuss game imo.

Certainly doesn’t hurt my opinion of them! lol. Rebs a nice story but think they have holes, defensively I’ve seen a not great rushing attack really push them around. Then on offense I feel like Boise has to stop 3 guys. 1st and foremost white, a good dc should be able to take one wr away! Then just have to get Williams on the ground when he looks to run when white not open. Just gotta trust the history here for me. Boise owns the MW and winning this game ensures they would get the championship game at home and most likely make them the group of 5 in the playoff.

I don't see Boise as some kind of quality team, especially the pass defense. Making transitive comparisons like that against Oregon can be wiped away with comparisons to Georgia State at the beginning of the year and Hawaii in their last game. Boise were atrocious in Honolulu, they really shouldn't have covered. It was a one score game until the 4th.

Bad game to bet unless you like overs, I think both big stars have big games on national tv.

The way they totally shut down white last year in 2nd half after he roasted them in the 1st is one the biggest reasons I like them. You don’t have to be a great pass d to take 1 wr away. In Boise I trust here,

Yes. I may go broke fading Pitt, but dammit I will be right sometime.

If you ever were looking for the definition of shaving it was defined "Kyle McCord" last night. He didn't even seem to try and mask it. Lazy throws, over and over and over.

217 total yards for Pitt.

Can't wait to see the line next weekend. More scared for SMU tomorrow.
