Week 8 in the FCS

I took ETSU when it first came out

I think just too much rain to be laying that many points with Tenn Tech

Never like Villanova as a big favorite

Yeah I keep going back and forth because I don’t see how lindenwood gets anything going on the ground against that defense. If I see a line move up I may strike with Tenn Tech, not sure yet.

I like ETSU, is there weather there too? I think they'd be fine in rain or wind.

Agree to a point on TTU. Like said before, LW was probably going to try and run anyway just based on their last couple games, but they weren't going to run well on TTU D I would have to assume. TTU D coupled with their run game and the experience of being in a bad weather game last week along with the LW D being inferior still points to TTU winning by some kind of margin.

I took Nova. I know what you mean, they are off a big game and could be a little flat this week vs a bad opponent, but Hampton is just that, a bad team. So had to ride that wave with Nova

I like how MB never checks the current odds and just posts up a stale number

Pretty much every book has a total on South Dakota / UNI at 46.5

Up goes 48.5 LOL

Bovada is not even up yet. I like variance in lines, creates choices and different possibilities.

really wish MB had a tab for FCS, which I suggested last year. Hate scrolling through all the other games

Bovada just came up through noon games

Must be some definitive QB news on Bucknell and LIU moving lines

Had more than a few things go wrong yesterday. Lost 6 games by .5 pt and a few more by 1-2 pts. If I could change 1 game it would be Colgate. Those fuckers lose once to Georgetown out of the last 21 in the series, they made it 2 yesterday. I had that game a couple different ways, flipping it from loss to win would've made me even on the day. ETSU blows a 17 pt 4Q lead to lose (their 4th blown 4Q lead this year - but not by that many). Harvard was an impactful loss, those bastards (3 FGs from inside the 10). The Colorado Mesa loss hurt, they trailed all game, but take lead with under 2min to go, but NM Highlands scored the winning TD with :05. Several games lost in final minute.

But there were a few that hit in the final minute that seemed like a loss...Montana team total Ov (threw deep for no reason under 3min to go up 15) , the Clarion-Carlifornia (Pa) Over - man that was some kind of wild finish! Samford had just retaken the lead with 1-1/2min to go...VMI hit a big pass, got down to the S15, but missed their FG as time expired.

Derek Robertson was injured 3Q (left arm) yesterday.

Rucker missed again as expected.

Stanzani was back for LIU, which meant they scored 17 pts instead of the 7.6 ppg they averaged the last 3 games.

Chase Mason left the game (ankle) on SDSU's first drive

Both Devin Wydner and Victor Gabalis returned. Although it made no different who the QB for West Georgia was.

Man that Harvard game hurt as it was painful watching them hit the wall once they got inside the 10. Left some money on the table by not hitting submit on the WCU over or the Tenn Tech Nova and Presby plays I talked about, but also glad I didn’t move forward with a few from my short list.

Mental wins

If you didn't see the Clarion - Cal PA finish, Clarion takes the lead at 3:13 of this video (about 1:16 of game time). There were 3 possessions after this, a blk'd FG and a game winning TD all within in the final minute. The announcers..."they need to force a monumental collapse, they need to have some sort of miracle" Yup

Illinois State is 0-5 ATS as a favorite this year and the dog in Illinois State games is 7-0 ATS!

There can't be a bottom half of any conference in FCS worse than the Southland! Northwestern State, Nicholls, McNeese, Houston Christian and add in Inacarnate Word. Southeastern Louisiana and Stephen F Austin do not play which sucks.

The PSAC has been wild this year. Nice defense on that last play Clarion.
