[TD="colspan: 2"]Back in early May, Cantor Gaming posted lines on every NFL regular season game. We took those lines and stacked them up against the current market numbers at CRIS. It's a good handicapping tool to identify some of the changes in opinion the market has had through the first three weeks of the regular season.

A Line that interests me is the Giants@KC game.
Are the Giants as bad as they have been, many think not else that line wouldnt last 5 minutes,.... a team being lined on name only ?

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — There are losses, and then there are totally embarrassing debacles that require an NFL franchise to rethink every single thing it is doing.
Sunday’s 38-0 thrashing at the hands of the previously winless Panthers has to qualify as the latter for the Giants, who stumbled out of Bank of America Stadium dazed, humiliated and staring at an 0-3 start to a season that already looks lost.
“Something’s definitely going to have to happen, because this is intolerable [in] every sense,” Giants safety Antrel Rolle said. “This is just bad all the way around. I don’t have any answers. We have to find our way.”
What was billed as the “Desperation Bowl” between two struggling teams that came in a combined 0-4 played out with only one showing any sense of urgency — and it wasn’t Tom Coughlin’s club.
So much for going all out in honor of their grieving head coach just days after the sudden death of Coughlin’s younger brother. Since improving to 6-2 with a win at Dallas last October, the Giants are 3-8 with two shutout losses.
Big Blue also dropped to 0-3 for the first time since 1996, when the Giants finished 6-10 in Dan Reeves’ last season.
“We never gave ourselves competitively a chance to be in the game,” a stunned Coughlin said. “ ‘Disappointing’ is not a strong enough word. I expected more. We built towards more, but it just was not the competitive game I thought it would be.”
Thanks in large part to an inept offensive line that inexplicably allowed seven sacks and at least 20 more hits on Eli Manning, Big Blue had its doors blown off so completely the final 13 games already look like one long evaluation period for the 2014 NFL Draft.
How bad was it? With 13 minutes left in the third quarter, the Panthers had more points (24) than the Giants had total yards (18).
“I want to sit up here and say that we’re better than the 0-3 team that we are, but the facts are the facts: We’re 0-3, and we’ve got a huge hill to climb,” defensive end Justin Tuck said.
With alleged franchise left tackle Will Beatty the primary culprit, the Giants’ line was completely overrun and allowed a 26th-ranked Carolina defense that began the day with four new starters to tie the franchise record with seven sacks of Eli Manning.
Beatty was called for a holding penalty that nullified a David Wilson touchdown run and looked helpless against the rush of Panthers end Greg Hardy, who had three sacks to go along with three tackles for lost yardage and three more hits on Manning.
With no time to throw and no one open enough to throw it to, Manning suffered though a miserable afternoon. He ended up completing 12-of-19 passes for 119 yards and an interception when he wasn’t being broken in half by the Panthers’ jailbreak pass rush or running for his life.
“Obviously, we’ve dug ourselves into a little bit of a hole,” Manning said. “Words aren’t going to fix anything. It’s about us having great practices and going out there and playing better on game day.”
Carolina and Cam Newton, meanwhile, were simply running wild against a Giants defense that still can’t rush the passer, still can’t cover anybody and still can’t stop the run.
The embattled Newton quieted his critics with a big day, completing 15- of-27 passes for 223 yards and three touchdowns, including a gorgeous, 47-yard scoring strike to Ted Ginn less than two minutes into the fourth quarter that made it 38-0 and had the crowd streaming for the exits.
Led by DeAngelo Williams’ 120 yards, the Panthers also had their way on the ground and finished with 194 rushing yards and two touchdowns overall.
But the Giants’ defensive performance wasn’t nearly as horrifying as the play of their offense, which was shut out for the second time in six games dating to a 34-0 loss at the Falcons in Week 15 last season.
Not only did the Giants give up sacks on three of their first nine snaps, but Manning has to scramble and throw the ball away under pressure on two others plays in that stretch.
The loss ended a remarkable streak in which Coughlin’s teams had started 5-2 every year since he was hired in 2004. His woeful club looks like it will be fortunate to win five games total this season.

Besides the second half meltdown in Denver, the Ravens D is quietly going about its buisness,GL dan,I look forward to your pod this week.

KC was -6 Sunday afternoon at one point on Bookmaker. Bout 20 minutes later it was back at 4.

I am going to go back to them for the 3rd time most likely, because I like the Jets at that number

I'm going to throw some updated lines up

I like ATL as a slight dog at home. NE has beaten shitty teams and barely on 2 of them: NYJ, Buff, and TB. ATL should be fired up at home on primetime. There has to be a sense of urgency for them as they don't want to go down 1-3 with some people picking them as super bowl contenders.

I watched all the game yesterday, scoreline very flattering to NE
Some bad coaching decisions,a few dropped passes, questionable PI non-call,couple of 4th and short none conversions..... scoreline dont reflect the game.

I love the Falcons next week. TB easily could have been up by DD early in yesterday's game.

I also like SD but not sure if I want to tease it to 9, moneyline it or just stick with +2.

In addition, vincent Jackson went down early in 2nd quarter ( i believe). He was making plays and opening the field for others until he got hurt....

3 point swing already on the NE/ATL game at my book. Earlier line I posted was NE -1, now i'm seeing ATL -2.

if its 33 that means the total will be 55 or so... who knows what total they come up with there

That Indianapolis line is a complete joke. Big play coming for me on the pathetic Jags.

FML I hate Blaine Gabbert. Just gonna grit my teeth, pull the trigger, and close my eyes.

Agree with you guys on the Jags. At home the Colts can lay 8 to the Jags but no way on the road.

Philly/Denver opens at 55. Gets bet up to 58 in some spots. This is the highest nfl total I can recall

Just the line correcting itself...

goofy week with a lot of home dogs. Could be really good or really bad for some people

Books not giving the 3-0 Bears a lot of respect. Thought this would be closer to a pk, especially since Chicago has had a lot of luck against Detroit In the Cutler era

I think this is a very interesting game.

Nate Burleson broke his arm in 2 places in an early morning car accident. Will undergo surgery. Obviously a huge loss for the #Lions.

Broyles was a kid I really liked at OU,I was watching the game where he got injured and some of his team was crying,I think that injury derailed the sooners season(memory not so good at my age) ,he was back on the field sunday,so a chance for him to get a start and step up now.Still a loss to the lions tho.

will be interesting to see what Denver does when they play a team that can run the ball. Ravens/NYG run games are bottom of the barrel. Shady prop may be a great bet, I rarely bet props in NFL but this is getting a look.... total lined high for a reason, both teams have holes that can be exploited and both are high powered offenses designed to attack offensively. Even if there are a ton of run plays, it is highly likely both teams score 4 tds. I'm tempted to grab the 11 at first glance

Philly is gonna get extremely tired if they play the hurry up offense all game. The altitude is not a joke. Especially for a team flying across country who's bodies are used to sea level.

Only thing that can stop the broncos is bad weather

I remember reading or hearing Peytons record ATS for 2nd half wagers but cant remember it,its something crazy tho.If anyone knows it ?
Maybe Denver second half worth a look nba.

Over or no play in Buffalo. Too many players in Buffalo missing and holes in the secondary made Geno Smith look great, would have to be a bad game from Flacco for this to stay under. Justin Rogers would have been cut on any other team but the Bills are too thin. Aaron Williams will likely now play cb, leaving Leonard @ ss alongside Searcy. It would be amazing if Byrd made his return @home, but I'm not holding my breath. The Bills D Line at home has been great, and the team as a whole and individually (Spiller, Woods,EJ, everyone on the Oline & secondary) are coming off a terrible performance. I expect max effort and I think the Ravens are still suspect on defense. Bills team total over has cashed every week and they haven't played a whole game yet, it is once again the best play in this game imo... With the line set where it is, I'm guessing it comes out 20.5 juiced or 21.

Or their #30 ranked pass d

Ravens put up 27 and Raiders put up 21 @Denver. I think the Eagles have just as good of an offense, even if the game is on mars.

Well I'm just talking about their offense. But yes wouldn't be surprised if both teams score in the 40s.

wish the game was in prime time

This is where the Donks offense is at right now lol:

Denver 37, Oakland 21 was such a snoozer that the Denver backfield trio of Ronnie Hillman, Knowshon Moreno and rookie Montee Ball played rock, paper, scissors on the sideline in the 4th quarter to determine who would score from the 1-yard line, according to the team’s website. Here’s how it shook out:
So the 19-yard scamper left the Broncos with a first-and-goal at the 1-yard line.
But the other backs wanted a shot at the touchdown just as badly. So while Hillman, Knowshon Moreno and Montee Ball waited to see where the ball would be spotted, they decided to play a quick game of rock-paper-scissors for that chance.
Hillman chose rock. Ball and Moreno went with scissors.
So the Broncos are 3-0, Super Bowl favorites (per Las Vegas odds) and Peyton Manning is on a historic statistical pace, having thrown 12 TDs in just three games. The offense is a juggernaut, the defense is capable without attempted urine cheat Von Miller, and the AFC looks less-than-imposing so far with the “it’s early” 3-0 Chiefs and the “eh” 3-0 Patriots. Lots of questions remain about Ryan Tannehill for 3-0 Miami, Andy Dalton for 2-1 Cincinnati and Matt Schaub for 2-1 Houston. Nobody’s ready to trust the 2-1 Jets or 2-1 Titans.
Are the Colts the 2nd best team in the AFC? There’s probably some recency bias here after the bludgeoning of San Francisco, but give me Andrew Luck over every QB on a contender in the AFC outside of Manning and Brady.
Andrew Luck vs. Peyton Manning in the AFC title game? Today, it looks that way.

Worth noting, Atlanta's two tackles have graded out worst in the NFL out of all OL plays this year...it's an ongoing issue.

Patrick Daugherty @RotoPat<small class="time" style="font-size: 12px; color: rgb(187, 187, 187); position: relative; float: right; margin-top: 1px; margin-right: 5px;">20h</small>
Only two tackles are already below -10 in Pro Football Focus' ratings: Falcons LT Sam Baker, and Falcons RT Lamar Holmes.

Wk 1. EJ Manuel 1st ever pro start
WK 2.Geno Smith 1st ever pro road start,in the pissing rain on short week
Wk 3.Joshy Freeman

Hard to argue that the falcons have the advantage situation wise. Always tough going against Brady as virtually a pick em, but i'm leaning falcons

How tough are the Fins?

It is Monday night, so folks aren't thinking about it yet....but under a td...

pretty good..loss of wake will hurt and with way your boys playing defense not sure they ready for this gm, i dunno i been on phins every gm thus far and pretty sure im jumping ship this week..think i like the under better than a side but couldnt blame anyone for playing saints..

I never bet against the Saints when they're at home. Either a NO play or no play.

and on monday night, and when team coming in lost best pass rusher this past week, and laying less than a td...hard to make a case for fish really and i like betting them..

yea Cam sitting is huge. Also the wekness has been Miami's offensive line...they been giving up sacks and the run game has been poor

Saints have been gettin to the Qb and have been opportunistic....I lean Saints here initially
