but i'm constantly watching lines, and i went thru them yet again last night at 1am pacific...which obviously doesn't coincide with the releases.

Troy was released on Monday at +10, not +10.5, although there were some +10.5's available at release time.

Everything line we release and grade with is very widely available at time of release, but they do start moving within 5-20 seconds, depending on book.

could've taken marshall (-7.5) last nite...could've taken mtst (-6.5) last nite...and not sure about USF. (i've got differing notes on that line...listing both -10.5 and -12.5...so at some point before this morning, the line had touched both #s.)
and already listed where the totals were the other night...2nd two close enough, 1st two off a bit...using 5D & BM.

maybe beating a dead horse...but i'm definitely inferring some things, if you read into my questions/etc...between the lines, sort of speaking.

you guys do good work, as evidenced by your success. but between late last night and your release today, for example, did MTST come back down to -4.5?
i use 5D & BM mostly, keep detailed notes, and was seeing -6.5 before i called it a nite.

No offense taken. There are many sites that show line history. Sides are released on Monday's, not today, and MTSU was -4.5 at release.
 
I remember Edward's cameo appearances from last season all too well... Funny shit, "lost in the crash" (RIP).

Is this his first cameo of the young season?

You know,I dont mind this guy either,at least they are actually winners not like 99.9% of the other shysters.
The problem I see is that there is too many on the bandwagon or too many heavy bettors,the lines just are not widely available or at least for long enough,I mean 15 seconds...I cant even get wood that quick.Maybe the insiders getting a lil down before the bets are released,maybe some books actually are subscribers.I think the line moves he creates actually speak a lot for his ability,but anyway.....

vegasinsider is possibly the best site to get the line history from each Vegas casino as well as a bunch of off-shore books. They show you the exact time that each line moved throughout the week. You simply have to click on the line for any game you're looking for the line movement, and every Vegas casino will show up (or every off-shore book if you're on the off-shore odds page) Here's an example, from the LVH, for the TCU game tonight...

the line moves intrigue me the most. dr bob is cool, RAS is cool, as are probably some others. but yeah, the majority (the ones i just call touts) i couldn't give a shit about. they are completely ignored.


as for some of the things i'm inferring though...
we'd be naive to think that some don't get down on these plays before they're released. insider trading is a fact of life, and not "illegal" in this respect lol.
and from reading Rexy, Walters seems to do this as well...but (at least to me) it's obvious that lines are "made more favorable" (to the play) prior to release.

Thats interesting,I dont follow any of this anywhere near close enough, but we know that BW uses set-ups,if ras is setting his plays up(again Ive no clue but if thats what youre inferring) thats interesting to me.If thats way off the mark just ignore it ob.

the ball st under and the bowling green over were both "improved" #s prior to the release...prior to when they'd get pounded the other way.

BG is the best example, imo. it was 63.5 pts when i went to bed. between that point and RAS releasing, the number was "made" more favorable to the play. (down to 60.5 & 61) then, as expected, it goes back up with all the paid plays on the over.

nothing wrong with the process, per se. like i said, i just find it intriguing...cuz it didn't drop that far overnight on chance.

that got bet pretty big this morning. would make sense they might help "accelerate" the process if they are going to be against the move

i wouldn't know all the details/etc, and i'm not accusing anyone of anything. but like i just said...the bowling green o/u didn't drop 2.5 pts overnight on chance alone...and i don't see anything in the news that would've justified such a move prior to RAS releasing the over today. so yeah, who/whatever was behind it, the total was kinda "set up" for the play...imho only.

got a question. I dont follow RAS or these other ppl much who charge for plays...

But on that topic, I know they track their plays and do one of the best jobs showing record.

With that said, does RAS or anyone have a record of their plays where "moving" the line even mattered?

I know in NFL, the spread comes into affect about 18% of the time and college is a different animal, but still would be interesting to know. Sides and totals both.

ManUK, Walters uses his own guys (beards) to do the setting-up for him. He will basically dummy the line up or down, and then bet what he really wanted to bet all along when the books adjust the lines based on his dummy betting.

this year sofar and lastyear haven't been up to normal I see. These results continue like this will these lines keep movin like they do? Starting to setup value after tha moves
 
I think "The Commander" is on TT tonight........I guess he doesn't move lines, no line movement.

thanks hugh i assumed it was tt...hey karl have you heard of this mike o'connor guy the dr.bob is endorsing for nfl this year? bob has been a loser at nfl for years now and he finally gave it up...but this guy is supposedly 58% long term in the nfl--do you know anyone that gets his picks?

honestly, they are all losers. The SOB got lucky one year. Even I hit 28 out of 33 bets during the start of NCAAB this past year, but I didnt go touting about it. I'm sure others feel the same way about any service that charges $$$. Unless they guarantee a profit, be it 1% or 50%, they are all BS

Hey b_u...haven't heard of him, but, I've been so busy this year that I'm a bit outta the loop. Definitely looks like something to monitor. And yeah, Bob has no doubt been worthless with his NFL picks. I will look around and see if I can find em and keep ya posted. :shake:
