How can peeps keep saying Denver has the best defense in the league after Week 1 vs Flacco and a 50 year-old Steve Smith.

Balty cracked 20 points once all preseason. Team is weak on that side of the ball and will be this season.

KC has improved, Denver hasn't. Peyton's noodle-arm is what it is, old fulla looks like he just isn't enjoying the game right now - it happens.

In the last 6 games he only has 4 touchdowns. That's sad. Nothing against him he's had a HOF career but I think father time has caught up to him. Of course anything can happen tonight but I think he regresses even more going down the stretch.

40 year-old QB on a short week after getting hit a fair few times the week before with a makeshift O-line.

If he proves me wrong then so be it but the evidence is there that the rot has set in.

KC pass rush is no joke. Fact Manning has owned them will only add to the fire.

Last sentence is a big portion people are ignoring, also Hillman has been the guy they wanted to be #1 in Denver for a while so I wouldn't consider that a big problem

a complete fwiw - since I've tracked PT results dating back to 2000, I've never seen a season open up with a significant run of a specific result to the exclusion of its opposite (be it Overs, Unders, Favs or Dogs ATS). Obv. as a season progresses streaks do manifest, but in my experience a new season usually gets at least 1-2 manifestations of each basic result out of the way before any significant streaks begin. Relating that to this season's PT start: 4 straight Dogs ATS (or a Push then 3 Dog covers: either way no Fav has reared its head yet). Unless this season is about to prove itself to be the outlier to the general rule I just noted, then we're not going to go much longer before we get a Fav cover (in my language, that would be at least 1 of the night games this week).

bungals line feels short to me, i have them a few points better on a neutral field and as good as they been at home i make HF worth 3.5 or them, honestly think somewhere between -4.5 to -6 much closer to where it outta be and it low due to cincy playoff woes which hurts their perception and the charger comeback which of course impressed the masses where i think it may say more about det. early gm out east let sd screw around and get behind here and there will be no coming back as bungals will beat them into submission with the run gm with a lead..

How can peeps keep saying Denver has the best defense in the league after Week 1 vs Flacco and a 50 year-old Steve Smith.

Balty cracked 20 points once all preseason. Team is weak on that side of the ball and will be this season.

KC has improved, Denver hasn't. Peyton's noodle-arm is what it is, old fulla looks like he just isn't enjoying the game right now - it happens.

Denver has a top 3 caliber defense IMO and is the reason the team will have a chance at making the playoffs.

i dont understand the zona line at all, is there any other explanation than books love to undervalue them? i just dont see chi having the kind of ground success they had last week in this one. if alshon was playing i could conceivably see it tight cause cards very susceptible to big plays with their blitz happy aggressive d but now i just see way more cuntler mistakes than i do big plays and you gotta believe palmer gonna torch the swiss cheese d multiple times. i hate lines like this and hate them even more in week 2 but this no overreaction by me this just fact that when palmer healthy cards one of the best teams in the nfc and bears simply are not..

Well that's the reason I need to see what happens in week 2. Last week was the first week of the season so there were naturally some nerves and sloppy play to start games. But if the low 1Q totals continue it can be attributed to deflategate lol.

Of course. From what I saw last week it looked like QBs had trouble gripping the ball. Eli made a comment about having trouble getting a feel for the ball too. Due to the deflategate saga, the players are not able warm up with the game balls anymore. The game balls are now brought out on the field ten minutes before kickoff.

From what I understand, each ball is a little different since its leather and has to broken in to be in optimal playing condition
