over 46 va tech/bama- repeat from last yrs opener for bama, bama opens up a lead and logan thomas makes a play or two. not asking for much at 46

over 51 wash st/auburn- aub will have the foot on the gas all game with malzahn. I expect Leach to have his offense ready to bounce back from a pathetic 2012. I think Leach knows his offense can't come out of the gates slow and he will have some tricks up his sleeve.

washington state's offense was really bad in the spring game. no qb's stood out. they missed open throws and made a ton of bad decisions vs vanilla as you get defenses. it was pretty bad. only thing worse was the protection. they made the coug d line look formidable. and with exception of marks, i don't know how many wr's they actually have up that would make auburn at all nervous. leach needs to do some recruiting. just an fyi

I agree. I have looked at this game extensively, and think it will be a low scoring game. I don't think Auburn will score 31. If they do, that is absolutely their high water mark. I don't think this gets withing striking distance of 51. I think this will be a 24-17 type of a game.

I'm an UNDER bettor as well. I do very well every year on betting 1st half UNDERS, particularly early in the season. I really should track my record on those bets separately. I dare say that I probably hit 75% of them last season. On the other hand, if I bet an OVER . . . well . . . you'd be wise to be on the other side.
