Was The NFC North Overrated?

Fly, Eagles, Fly!
All season this was easily the best division in football with 3 really good teams just stacking up wins. But now they are 0-3 in the playoffs with all losses by 12 or more points. Was this division just overvalued? This is an honest question that I’m trying to wrap my head around. . It can’t just be a fluke in all 3 losses? Anyone have thoughts?

This could easily be moved to the SEC bangfest thread

How’s that? It’s an honest question that I’m trying to figure out. The most dominant division going 0 for in the playoffs is weird.
It depends on if you think postseason results reflect on regular season dominance. If that is how you judge things, I don't really think you need a thread. I also believe Oregon should be the national champion. You can move the sticks wherever you want to with things like this.

No. Not how I judge things, but it’s just odd to me. These were arguably 3 of the top 7 teams in football all year, and don’t win a single post season game. Vikings were completely out matched. Packers were flat. And Detroit defensively struggled and gave the ball away way too many times. None of this was an ongoing pattern in the regular season really.

I know we have a lot of people here who are fans of these teams @HUNT @B.A.R. etc. Would love their thoughts. Feel bad for Detroit mostly and really hope it’s not turning into another Buffalo situation.

There were a TON of things in that game and anyone could have made excuses regardless of how it ended. The one thing we probably all came away with was how cool a night out on the town, any town, with Jalen Daniels would be. Crazy I didn't even feel the need to see him play at ASU. Dude's got the it that goes beyond throwing and running.

Yep. He’s a born leader. Composed as crazy. The exact temperament you want in your qb.

Maybe Sean McDermott's defense will actually show up for once throughout the post season 🤔🤔🤔. LOL

The thread title ask if the division was overrated. Answer: No

You now ask above if it was overvalued. Answer: Yes, as it turned out

Lions and Pack had so many injuries , no idea what happened to the Vikings o line during the last 2 games .

Who else was there in the NFC that could have made the playoffs ?
Falcons , Cowboys, Cards , Hawks , doubt anyone of them would have played anyone close

Large product of schedule, for gaudy record. They drew AFC south and NFC west. All three quality teams obviously but deficiencies (GB pass attack, Min Darnold and O line, Det injuries) just caught up with them when it mattered. On a personal note, my heart goes out to Lions fans this AM. Lifelong Chiefs and Vikings fan. Before Mahommes I have felt that pain over and over again. Hard to watch. It was their year- until it wasn’t.
