The HC is one of a few very important variables to win a championship. Campbell isn't in that discussion yet.
One thing is for sure. That won't happen. With that being said, this wasn't him in totality tonight.
Ben was very average.
Very.
Using that criteria ...
Ravens Chiefs is our SB.
Unless McVey gets there.
Those are easily the best 3 coaches left.

As I said last year ..As much as I love the guy this is a fact. Do i think he gets there with a full deck, I do. Valid point though. As Reno stated earlier I am not a fan of coaches interviewing with 800 teasm before a playoff game, it's 2 years in a row for DC but he needs to learn from it..these are all lessons. Sports is great. We just never know.
As I said last year ..
That team was at least a year ahead of schedule.
This was the year to win 1-2 playoff games and then next year was "the year"
Everything was accelerated.
Nothing Dan did tonight bothered me at all. Unless he was pushing for the Jamo throw or to start panicking early.
Ben had some great play calls, but a few terrible ones too.
Simply put, the two coordinators each had their worst games of the season overall. Ben is so damn good that we can say that with 500 yards of offense.
500 yards on offense is great but the Lions defense ranked 13th out of the 14 playoff teams at the start of the post season for total yards allowed per game. Add a -5 turnover margin in tonight's game and nobody should be surprised of the resultAs I said last year ..

The 3rd and 1, 5 wide play call was the game changer for me. Not sure what Ben was thinking there. If we go up 14-3 there then Goff isn’t playing panic ball the rest of game.

Why would the Lions have a WR pass the ball late when they’re slicing up the D conventionally? Goff’s play last night was why the Rams traded him. Can’t trust him in the postseason.Rough one for the Detroit boys, so many hurdles to jump over with injuries all season. Amik was the back breaker.
I think there were a bunch of insane play calls offensively but it wouldn't have been a discussion if the D could make a couple stops. Hard to fault them when it worked all season but the attempted pitch back on 4th & 1 was goofy. Gibbs was unstoppable at times and they got cute.
They were such an entertaining team to watch all season & I was rooting for Lions/Bills SB. They will be a monster next season
Did he really do a great job vs Minn? Perhaps, but fair to wonder if Darnold made him look great (same thought in regards to rams defense too)AG did a great job last game but that might have hurt him here a bit to be honest...
I've been telling you this guy is a terrible coach but since Woody was probably out at the ballet last night he's still most likely getting the Jets job.AG did a great job last game but that might have hurt him here a bit to be honest...
I found Washington this season being that team to watch every week. They looked like one of those college teams you run across that are fun to watch every week. They could be that Cinderella team that gets to the Super Bowl.Detroit was probably the most enjoyable team to watch every week for me over the last decade-plus (not named KC). If more people took HC DC’s approach to competitive athletics, the league would be so better off. I’ve never found myself rooting for a Michigan man like I have Dan Campbell…guy is just a passionate, competitive warrior.

Next best coaches the Broncos and we could maybe add him and drop one if we are being realWith that being said, this wasn't him in totality tonight.

I’ll just add Saints to this injury thing. The situation in NO is dirty back to Dr. Jones when he was still at Ocshner(STILL Saints affiliate, notice the backdrop at any Saints presser).Pretty incredible. Have to put what this franchise has done in context though...at least that's what I am doing. They were horrific not even 4 years ago. Have a great GM and will only get better. Young and loads of talent on both sides of the ball. Stay injury free..but that is part of sports...that many injuries though is a rarity.
It’s a gambling forum so I’ll bitch here. Detroit ML cost the people millions. MILLIONS.The 3rd and 1, 5 wide play call was the game changer for me. Not sure what Ben was thinking there. If we go up 14-3 there then Goff isn’t playing panic ball the rest of game.
