One down, Pacers and Thunder to go. all the big three should win SU and probably cover as well.

I also like the Under TT on both rivals - Rockets and Celtics.

I also like the Grizzlies tonight. They got a chance to get one game separation from the Suns in WC playoff battle and I doubt they will miss this chance.

Going out on a limb with Indiana winning

Cleveland
Orlando
Detroit
NY
Clippers
OKC
And Memphis
What could go wrong?

Funny. I just checked Suns days of week at home on all the remaining home games. Very good. Who knows? I checked the road games too. Decent ATS record. Wins???

I think the Pacers ats is a bad wager the way they are playing right now. Even if every stat in the world supports it, they aren't cohesive and are getting zero help from the bench right now. I would think a dominating Pacers home performance would be in direct correlation to the under, which imo is a better wager

OKC has conceded 106.9 ppg over their L12 games, after conceding an avg. of 97.4 ppg over their previous 51 games.

Houston is 22-0 SU/15-7 ATS in their last 22 instances of scoring at least 100 pts.

----

Portland has gone Under the line in regulation their last 9 games.

Minny opened -14...

Minny is 6-0 ATS this season as a home Fav off a SU home loss
- 19.8 pts = Average winning margin.
- 23.3 pts = Average winning margin vs. EC opponents.
- 12.8 pts = Average spread cover.
- 14.3 pts = Average spread cover vs. EC opponents.

Minny is 6-0 ATS in their last 6 meetings with Milw. (won 117-95 away late Dec, both teams playing b2b).

-----

Milwaukee is playing a 4th-in-5 (0-3 ATS in that spot so far this season), off a home win which needed a big 4th quarter effort (37-27) to pull out the come-from-behind W.

Milw. off a SU win this season is 3-9 ATS
- 2-8 ATS off 0 or 1 day of rest
- 1-5 ATS facing WCF opponents

Milw. away to the West this season is 4-5-1 ATS, averaging 93.9 ppg

- 3-2-1 ATS with rest (avg. 98.2 ppg), average pts differential = -6.3
- 1-3 ATS* when b2b (avg. 87.5 ppg), average pts differential = -16.5
*only ATS win came against a team off 3 road games, playing a 4th-in-5.

Milw. has gone a season high 12 games w/out a 15+ pt loss
- previous longest season streak = 7 games.
- ratio for such margin losses over previous 51 games = 1 every 3.4 games

Milw. has gone a season high 19 games w/out a 19+ pt loss
- previous longest season streak = 8 games.
- ratio for such margin losses over previous 44 games = 1 every 4.4 games

I like Memphis tonight. Refs suck, but Portland, with recent results, almost secured 5th place for better or worse, while Memphis still need to win as much as possible to secure playoff postion and maybe imrpoving it.

^^I saw your mistake. My home book makes mistakes too, like this one that currently sits waiting begging to be bet...

But they aren't open yet. Naturally I'm praying it survives as is until they do (2 hrs away), 'cause these guys honor their mistakes.

They would if they actually accepted the bet, but any idiot seeing that line and betting 1k will raise a massive red flag, and I guarantee it wouldn't get accepted (& such an act will obv. lead to the line getting fixed). Gotta go very softly at it, if it's still there is 47 mins.

12 Lakers
12 Denver
18 Detroit
Before them 9 with Utah
Last 2 b-b road games Milwaukee won 24-17 at Memphis after a loss
At Spurs after a ATS cover they lost by 13

This season Houston is 4-0 SU and ATS on the road on Tuesday. There were only 4 games.

Basically we are playing a favored team (above .600) to bounce back after losing their last two as favorites with at least 1 day rest against an opponent that has won their last two games and in a possible letdown scenario. Play tomorrow night is OKC -4!

They are also interested in Indiana under

fun trend: h-town has alternated wins and losses this season in every one of their games lined as the dog; L,W,L,W,L,W,L,W,L,W,L and has either won straight up or failed to cover the spread

That is a tough game. Any thoughts about a Memphis ml parlay with Minn. Pays 75 on a 100

It looks like the Griz have owned Portland lately. Going back to last season, the Griz have won 4 of the L5. The L3 times these teams met the game was in Portland and the Griz won all three SU and ATS, now they get them at home. Portland has lost their last two, and are 5-1 SU after two losses this season, but they were heavy favorites in those games. Despite winning ten of their first 11 games lined as the dog this season, Portland has actually lost their L7 games in a row as the underdog, and has only covered three of those. Just based on that info, the Griz look strong, but I have not seen either of these two teams play in a long time so have no feel whatsoever.

L4 games lined as the dog, Portland has forced two of the four games into overtime, but lost every one of those four games by exactly five points.

Laid 5 with Minn and took the college 8. More on Minn. That could be it but I am willing to keep looking

Looking at Spurs:

Bulls off a tough one, beating Heat. Spurs a little payback after a home defeat to the Bulls earlier this year.

No revenge in that game, Now that I look lot of 2 game streaks which would point to Bulls?

Could play trend games for a while for both sides but
Spurs probably have the better team but it really sucks for them that they have Portland at home tomorrow

"Refs are solid for blazers..So griz recent performance doesn't worry me as they will piss gasol and Randolph off by letting Lopez and la be super physical under the rim....Very few fouls I think in that game....Portland has covered with brown 9 straight and Davis has consistently officiated losses vs memphisIncluding a few screw overs in my memory bank that makes Portland a play for me
That crew avgs least amount of fouls of any crew today"

Home team 13-34-1 ATS under Brown. Worst home ref this season.

Msudogs seems to agree

Boston at Indiana: (Ind -11.5 and 194) Some small leans to Boston with this crew, but nothing strong. Some mixed trends for the total.

Sacramento at Detroit: (Det -3 and 211) Conflicting ATS trends with this crew, but o/u trends point to the Over. Mark Lindsay is 31-19 o/u this season, including 10-6 o/u in games with totals higher than 205 points. In limited action, Derrick Stafford is 12-5 o/u this season, including 4-0 o/u in games with totals higher than 205 points. Karl Lane has more neutral numbers, going 21-17 o/u overall this season, including 5-6 o/u in games with totals higher than 205 points. Detroit is 3-1 o/u with Lindsay, 6-0 o/u with Stafford, and 5-1 o/u with Lane.

San Antonio at Chicago: (San -5 and 190.5) Favorites are 31-11 ATS overall this season with Curtis Blair, and that includes road favorites going 12-3 ATS with him. Road favorites are 14-6 ATS with ref Zach Zarba this season. San Antonio is 5-2 ATS with Blair and 7-2-1 ATS with Zarba. Chicago is 2-5 ATS with Blair and 2-6 ATS with Zarba.

Portland at Memphis: (Mem -3 and 196.5) Road teams are 34-13 ATS with Tony Brown this season, including 8-2 ATS as dogs of fewer than 5 points. Portland is 9-0 SU & ATS in their last 9 games with Brown, while Memphis is 3-5-1 ATS with him, including 1-3 ATS as a home fave. Road teams are 27-21 ATS with Marc Davis this season, but small road dogs are a neutral 6-6 ATS with him. Portland is 4-2 ATS with Davis, while Memphis is 0-6 ATS with him, including 0-4 ATS as a home fave this season.

Milwaukee at Minnesota: (Minn -14.5 and 214.5) Mostly neutral and conflicting trends with these refs.

[h=1]Marcin Gortat suggests NBA allow in-game player fights[/h] Dan Feldman

Washington Wizards center Marcin Gortat, in a Q&A with Kyle Weidie at TrueHoop, was asked which NBA rules he’d change:
I would say I would loosen up a little bit the rules about the fighting fines. That’s what I would loosen up. Because today you go to an ice hockey game, and the one thing they’re waiting for is a fight, you know what I’m saying? So if they could set it up something like that in the NBA. That if there are two guys and they have a problem, if they could just separate everybody. And these two people that have problem, if they could fight …
During the game?
During the game. Quick, 15-20 seconds, throw few punches, then referees jump in and break this thing up. I think the game … these two guys, they resolved their problem. They’re both suspended and they’re leaving. But end of the day, they fix the problem between each other, fans are super excited, and I think that would be a pretty cool idea [chuckles].
Of course Gortat wants to allow fighting. Dude is nicknamed “Hammer.”
In the same interview, he said, if he weren’t playing basketball, he’d be a boxer or a bouncer or something else that involves body-building. Yup, this guy wants to fight.
Everyone else? Not so much.
Fighting is a problem hockey should address, not encourage. Players get seriously hurt over something that has nothing to do with the sport, and that’s a shame. There are two reasons hockey has gotten away with fighting for so long.
1. The NHL has a higher proportion of white players than the NBA, and viewers and advertisers are more critical when players in the NBA – a league with a higher proportion of black players – fight. That doesn’t make the double standard right, but the NBA is certainly in no rush to test the racial limits of this country by throwing away money.
2. Hockey is more of a niche sport and operates further on the margins than basketball. The NHL can just take more chances.
The NHL is much closer to banning fighting than the NBA is to allowing it. Sorry, Marcin. You’ll have to save your punches for your second career as a boxer or bouncer.
Oh, wait. He actually wants his next job to be Poland’s president. Check out the rest of the interview for more, um, interesting thoughts from Gortat.

[h=2]KINGS AT PISTONS, 7:30 P.M. ET[/h] March 11, 2014 · 6:37PM
TV: League Pass

  • The center matchup between Sacramento’s DeMarcus Cousins, who has scored at least 20 points in his last five games, and Detroit’s Andre Drummond, who leads the NBA in offensive rebounding, will go a long way in determining the winner between two struggling teams. “A lot of teams missed the boat on Andre Drummond, for him to get taken where he was taken (No. 9 in 2012),” Sacramento coach Michael Malone said. “DeMarcus has an edge on him in terms of strength but Andre has an edge with his quickness, athleticism and explosiveness.”
  • The Kings have turned the ball over at least 17 times in four of their last five games. Malone feels some of his players are more concerned with scoring than playing unselfishly. “That happens a lot this time of the year for a team not in the playoff race,” he said. “All of a sudden, guys are playing for themselves instead of each other.”
  • Except for two players out for the season (Carl Landry and Jason Terry), the Kings have everyone available.
  • Detroit has allowed at least 110 points in six of its last 10 games, though interim coach John Loyer has focused on the defense in shootarounds and practices. “In 60 or 70 percent of your practice, you work on closeouts, you work on your stance on the ball, you work on your weakside help,” he said. “Every day that you get a real practice in, where you get up and down, you work on your transition defense. If you don’t guard consistently on any given night, you’re going to be in trouble and we haven’t guarded the way we’re capable of.”
  • Guards Chauncey Billups (knee) and Peyton Siva (ankle) and center Josh Harrellson (knee) are out for the Pistons.

[h=2]CELTICS AT PACERS, 7 P.M. ET[/h] March 11, 2014 · 6:25PM
TV: League Pass

  • Riding their first four-game losing streak in two years, the Pacers will unveil Andrew Bynum tonight. The 7-foot center signed on Feb. 1 after being released by Chicago and last played in a game for Cleveland on Dec. 26. Indiana coach Frank Vogel said he expects to use Bynum 10-15 minutes off the bench. Regular backup center Ian Mahinmi is out with bruised ribs.

  • Vogel said he wants to see Bynum “fit in and play his game, play to his strengths. We’ll try to play through him in the low-post some and do what he can do. He’s pretty up to speed with our defensive schemes and our offensive schemes. It’s just going to be a matter of getting used to playing in a game environment again.”

  • The Pacers also will be without backup point guard C.J. Watson, who’ll miss his fourth consecutive game with a sprained right elbow. Boston will be without Avery Bradley (right ankle), Gerald Wallace (left knee, left ankle) and Vitor Faverani (left knee).

  • With two consecutive wins and three in five games, the Celtics are on the uptick. “Obviously the task is tall with the Pacers, and it got taller from what I’ve heard with Bynum,” coach Brad Stevens said. “But they’re obviously a great team and it’s a great measuring stick for us right now.”

  • Indiana will start its usual lineup of George Hill, Lance Stephenson, Paul George, David West and Roy Hibbert. Mahinmi and Watson are in active.

  • Boston counters with Rajon Rondo, Jerryd Bayless, Jeff Green, Brandon Bass and Kris Humphries. Faverani, Wallace and Keith Bogans are inactive and Bradley is not with the team.

Gortat is an idiot. Another card that I can't find an edge. Was leaning Memphis, then y'all unleased the ref numbers. Memphis coming off a slow FT game as is. Without looking, I'm gonna guess they have attempted the least amount of FT's in the league.

Thabo owns Harden. Lamb is an average defender. No Perk to handle Dwight.

Rox with their best chance tonight of getting a rare win over Harden's old crew.

  • Neither Thunder point guard Russell Westbrook nor Rockets point guard Pat Beverley played in the previous two games involving these teams this season, so tonight will be the first time the two have been on the court together since Beverley crashed into Westbrook during last season’s playoffs. That incident resulted in a wrecked right knee for Westbrook and three surgical procedures. Asked at shootaround today if he had any hard feelings against Beverley, Westbrook said simply, “naw,” and then declined to answer any more questions about the Rockets guard. It should be fascinating to see what happens between those two tonight.
  • Thunder head coach Scott Brooks said before the game he hasn’t “mentioned it to him (Westbrook) or the team,” about keeping emotions under control when it comes to Beverley.
  • The Thunder’s two best defenders — Thabo Sefolosha and Kendrick Perkins – went through some shooting drills on the practice court today. Both are expected to be out the rest of the month with injuries. Perry Jones III and Steven Adams will continue starting in their places.
  • Houston is healthy tonight and will have all five normal starters on the floor, “It’s nice to have people available,” Rockets head coach Kevin McHale said before the game. “You’re always a better team when you have everybody.”
  • The Rockets are 0-2 against OKC this season. They were blown out in Oklahoma City in late December and scored 73 points on OKC in the first half a few days later in Houston only to be limited to 19 points in the second half leading to another loss. The Rockets are rolling now though with 15 wins in their last 17 games and in 23 of their 29 games in 2014. They’ve not lost a game since the calendar turned when they’ve scored at least 100 points. In contrast the Thunder have averaged 113.3 points in their last four losses, all coming since the All-Star break.
  • Oklahoma City is just 3-5 since the break and giving up 110.2 points on almost 48 percent shooting in those games.

  • As late-season midweek NBA games between teams from different conferences go, this is a good one. The Bulls are 11-3 in their last 14 games, and are one responsible for one of San Antonio’s eight home losses after a 96-86 decision on Jan. 29 at the AT&T Center. But the Spurs, who have won six in a row and nine of their last 10, did not have Manu Ginobili, Kawhi Leonard, Danny Green or Tiago Splitter for that previous meeting against the Bulls. If the Bulls win, they would be the first Eastern Conference team to sweep the Spurs this season.
  • San Antonio coach Gregg Popovich is on the suddenly crowded Joakim Noah bandwagon, saying the Bulls’ center should be in the Most Valuable Player conversation. “They won’t choose him for MVP, but I think it’s great that he is in the conversation,’’ Popovich said. “It’s got to go in the basket for you guys (the media) to pay attention to somebody, but he’s pretty valuable, in my opinion.” Averaging 4.8 assists per game, Noah is looking to become the first center to lead his team in total assists since David Robinson did it for the Spurs more than two decades ago.
  • The Bulls are coming off a high-profile win over Miami on Sunday, then after hosting the league’s best record in San Antonio they host Houston on Thursday. They play Oklahoma City next Monday. The rough stretch means nothing to Bulls coach Tom Thibodeau, who changes the words but consistently preaches the message that the only way to be successful is to take games one at a time. “You get in trouble when you look at a grouping of games,’’ he said. “All the games count the same. You don’t get extra points for beating a team that is perceived as an elite team.”
  • Popovich was watching the Heat-Bulls game when it was revealed that Thibodeau has coached more games without Derrick Rose than with him available and that “threw me back in my chair.” “He is a competitor to the highest degree,’’ Popovich said of Thibodeau.

[h=2]BUCKS AT TIMBERWOLVES, 8 P.M. ET[/h] March 11, 2014 · 7:01PM
TV: League Pass

  • Milwaukee center, Ersan Ilyasova will miss tonight’s game with a sore ankle. John Henson will start in his place.
  • Minnesota has won the last three games against Milwaukee and 11 of the last 13 at Target Center. They currently sit in the 10th spot in the Western Conference, 4.5 games behind Phoenix and 5.0 behind Memphis. After stirring hope among the Minnesota faithful with a 6-1 stretch in February and early March, Minnesota has dropped two of their last three to open a crucial four-game homestand.
  • Despite their 105-98 home victory against Orlando last night, the numbers suggest that Milwaukee has an uphill battle in tonight’s game. They have the worst record in the NBA at 13-50, they have not won back-to-back games all season, they have lost 12 of their last 13 raod games, and they are 2-22 against the Western Conference. And Minnesota is 9-3 and averaging 109.7 points per game against teams from the Eastern Conference.
  • Milwaukee is averaging 12.2 more points per game after the All-Star break (104.5) than they did before (92.3). Milwaukee coach, Larry Drew, attributes that improvement, at least partially to the acquisition of Jeff Adrien and Ramon Sessions: “They fill some holes that we have and they guys have seemed to get into a pretty good rhythm with these two guys. Jeff is a guy that just does dirty work. He’s a rebounder and he plays with a physical presence. … Ramon is a heady veteran guy who makes plays. He can get to the basket and he plays the right way.”
  • Minnesota back-up guard, A. J. Price underwent an appendectomy on Sunday and will be sidelined indefinitely.
