Bojan Krkić to join Olympiakos

Greek giants Olympiakos have moved to the front of the queue for Barcelona forward Bojan Krkic, El Mundo Deportivo has learned.

The former Spain international has joined the Catalans for pre-season training after his loan deal with Ajax came to an end, but he is unlikely to remain at Camp Nou for much longer.

Krkic has so far been linked with Malaga, Deportivo La Coruna, Stoke City and Olympiakos, with the Greek side recently emerging as favourites for his signature.

Coached by Spanish tactician Michel, Olympiakos are prepared to sign the forward on a season-long loan, offering him a yearly wage of €1.5 million.

And while the player is tempted by the prospect of joining the Greek giants, where Spanish-speaking staff would certainly reduce the time needed to acclimatize, Barcelona would rather sell him outright.

Real Madrid CF and FC Juventus have reached an agreement for the transfer of the player Alvaro Morata to the Italian club.'s Real Madrid CF reserves repurchase Player options.

I dont know how Barca and RM get these clubs to agree to it, same thing happened with Bojan to Roma when everyone still thought he was the next great player

sold him for 20m

RM can buy back for 30m next summer, or 35m summer after

so if he makes a big leap Juve have basically developed the player for them for 2 years

ya, its weird barca and madrid somehow get those buybacks into the contracts with all their youngsters.

Tottenham to sign Ben Davies and Michel Vorm with Gylfi Sigurdsson and £5m heading Swansea's way

Tottenham Hotspur are set to add goalkeeper Michel Vorm to the signing of defender Ben Davies, with Gylfi Sigurdsson returning toSwansea City.

The transfers are all expected to be completed separately, with Davies and Sigurdsson both valued at around £10 million and Vorm priced at £5 million.

Tottenham had seen a bid to land Davies and Vorm in a straight swap for Sigurdsson rejected by Swansea.

But Spurs have now agreed a £10 million deal for left-back Davies, who was due to travel with the club to Toronto on Sunday and remain on their pre-season tour.

Sigurdsson was pulled out of Tottenham’s opening US tour game against Seattle Sounders on Saturday to prevent the risk of injury ahead of a transfer.

Manchester United appears to already be active in rebuilding its back line.
The club is reportedly close to signing Mats Hummels, according to Spanish newspaper Sport.
United has agreed to a 20 million euro transfer with the 25-year-old defender's previous club, Borussia Dortmund, per the paper's report.
The report states that the deal could become official later in the week.
Hummels has been a staple on Dortmund's back line ever since they acquired him from Bundesliga rival Bayern Munich in 2008. He was instrumental in the defensive structure that helped lead the team to back-to-back German titles in 2010-11 and 2011-12.
He was named to the All-Star Team for the 2014 FIFA World Cup in Brazil after helping lead Germany to its first world title since 1990. He scored the lone goal in his nation's quarter-final victory over France, earning Man of the Match honours.
United is coming off a seventh-place finish in the Barclays Premier League, marking its worst domestic showing since 1989-90 when the club finished 13th. The club is in the midst of an off-season overhaul that began with the appointing of Dutch national manager Louis van Gaal being put in charge of the club.
The club must now overhaul its defence as the trio of Nemanja Vidic, Patrice Evra and Rio Ferdinand have all moved on to new clubs. The three have anchored United's defence together since 2006.

never heard hummels to ManU rumour. Every article links back to Sport in Spain, which isn;t highly rated for transfer news. It's like the Spanish version of the Daily Mail in the UK.

Six Shakhtar Donetsk players refuse to play for war-torn club

As the conflict between Russia and the Ukraine rumbles in Eastern Ukraine, six soccer players have refused to return to the highly volatile region.

Alex Teixeira, Fred, Dentinho, Douglas Costa, Facundo Ferreyra and Ismaily all play for Ukrainian champions Shakhtar but have all voted against returning to the highly-volatile region ahead of the new season.

After Shakthar played French side Lyon in a friendly over the weekend, the six aforementioned refused to get back on the plane to Donetsk.

The city is currently being controlled by pro-Russian rebels but the Ukrainian army are trying to gain control of it.

The six players in question are all from South America, five from Brazil and one from Argentina, and the club’s billionaire owner Rinat Akhmetov has issued the following warning.

“If they don’t come then in the first instance they will suffer,” Akhmetov said in a statement on Shakhtar’s website. While also going on to state that refusing to fulfill their contracts could cost the players “tens of millions of euros” in compensation payments to the club.

There is also a twist as Shakhtar’s Romanian coach Mircea Lucescu blamed super-agent Kia Joorabchian as the players did not return to Ukraine. According to Lucescu, their agent Joorabchian turned up in Lyon and took the players away. Shakhtar believe Joorabchian wants to make all the players free-agents and profit from them signing new deals at other clubs. The likes of Costa have been linked with a switch to Manchester United.

With Shakhtar set to play in this seasons UEFA Champions League and the Ukrainian season set to begin this weekend, plenty of question lie ahead as to how safe it is to play soccer in the Ukraine.

If Arsenal can sign a world class striker...I think they will be a very very good squad.
This upcoming BPL is going to be a very good top 5 race. The big boys are all spending...minus City lol
Still think Chelsea are anti football, Man Utd/Pool/Arse going to score some goals.

well the goal keeping situation at ARsenal is now interesting

Congrats Adu you really like to be subject to mocking and racial slurs

The former U.S. youth national team standout will look to resurrect his career with a move back to Europe.
American midfielder Freddy Adu has signed with Serbian club FK Jagodina.

The former U.S. youth national team standout had been without a team since leaving Brazilian club Bahia last November.

Adu spent time on trial with English club Blackpool, Norwegian club Stabaek and most recently Dutch side AZ Alkmaar. He has settled on Europa League participant Jagodina over Cyprus club AEL Limmasol, which is currently in the qualifying round of the UEFA Champions League.

FK Jagodina finished in third place in the Serbian League last season and is taking part in the Europa League for the third consecutive season.

Adu will be looking to revive a career that has stalled since leaving the Philadelphia Union after the 2012 MLS season. A loan move to Bahia turned into a dead end as a carousel of coaching changes made his transition in Brazil a difficult one.

Prior to his stint in Brazil, Adu spent parts of two seasons with the Union before a contentious split with the club that resulted in a move to Bahia in a swap deal involving Brazilian midfielder Kleberson. Adu joined the Union after the 2011 CONCACAF Gold Cup, where his impressive performances in the semifinals and final paved the way for a return to MLS.

Adu had spent much of the year weighing options in Europe. An extended trial with Blackpool failed to yield an offer, and after being passed on by Stabaek and AZ Alkmaar, Adu received a multitude of offers from, among other countries, Cyprus, Sweden and India.

Loic Remy's £8.5million move to Liverpool has dramatically collapsed after he failed a medical.

The France international had flown out to Boston earlier this week after Liverpool had met the release clause in his contract and he had agreed personal terms before beginning his fitness assessment.

Given Liverpool have been based in unfamiliar surrounds, the medical had taken longer than normal to conduct but when the results came back, Liverpool decided they had no other option but to pull the plug on the move.

Besiktas offer €4m for Robinho

Besiktas are the latest team to offer Robinho the chance to leave Milan, if reports are to be believed.

The Rossoneri have been desperate to sell the Brazilian playmaker in order to find room for other potential signings.
Orlando City have been seen as the clear favourites for his signature, with the MLS club’s chairman revealing last week that negotiations were ongoing.

However, Sport Mediaset have claimed today that the Turkish outfit are prepared to go toe-to-toe with the Florida-based side for the former Real Madrid man.

It is believed that the Istanbul outfit have offered Robinho a three-year contract worth €2.5m per season, and have tabled €4m to Pippo Inzaghi’s men.
