One day after saying he was "very optimistic" about the prospects of both playing this weekend, coach Kyle Flood said the two remained on track to return to their starting positions after today's final practice of the week.
Nova was limited to the opening series last week against Eastern Michigan after suffering a concussion. Bujari missed the game with a head injury.
“I feel exactly the same," Flood said when asked about Nova and Bujari. "Both guys took a fair amount of reps today so I feel going into Saturday that both guys are ready and prepared for us."
Nova, Flood added, will not be restricted if he plays as anticipated.
"He will have the full game plan, as will Chas (Dodd),” Flood said.

not a particularly good week of work ,... hopefully just get lucky. Two of the midweek adds blew up in my face ... ( nova/allen and Missouri ) and of course the Memphis game. Sort of having a bad year .. it will be my first ever losing baseball year and about to be my first ever losing cfb year I have a feeling. Bad work like this week coupled with current run in sports has me less than confident come the Saturday coin flippers. Still beat the close I suppose ... just not a normal crushing.

The UNC/GT OVER is one of my favorite plays of the week, but the bottom is falling out on total. It is now down to 57.5 at BM, and seems to be headed even lower. It appears that is due to the heavy rains expected for the game. Here is the latest Saturday forecast for the Atlanta area:

Overcast with a chance of a thunderstorm and rain showers. High of 72F. Winds from the SW at 5 to 10 mph. Chance of rain 100% with rainfall amounts near 1.0 in. possible.

Not sure what I'm going to do here. GT does an awful lot of ball handling, so the rain may effect them just as much as UNC. I probably just need to stay away at this point.

This quote has me scratching my head though with any consideration of backing UNC against my team.

UNC defensive coordinator Vic Koenning said there were about five or six starters who “raised the white flag” in the first half last year.

“We don’t need that to happen again to us,” he said.

Koenning said some players have already been griping about sore hamstrings and groins this week, and questioned whether some of his players are “tough enough and man enough to play.” UNC safety Tre Boston said “Coach Vic is a firey guy” who likes to motivate them, but he need look no further than last season's score.

I came across that one too and wasn't sure if it was implying players were trying to say they were banged up so they wouldn't have to face GT again?

After reading a little more, I tend to believe it is maybe due to them practicing against scout team cut blocks all week and maybe practice has taken a toll on some players more than usual.

I don't know exactly. I'm taking Heels small on a gut play.

Honestly cannot remember a worse game of football that I have watched the last few years. The coaching was so bad it was almost comical. 4th and 16, fake punts deep in own territory, going for two for no reason, come to mind from one of the coaches ... but the other coach ( Deruyter ) was a disgrace to thinking humans and almost ( probably should have ) cost his team the game with his buffoonery. With a couple minutes left in the third qtr was I pretty sure the under 68 was good. I had about close to 0 fear of the second half total losing barring college overtime. But I had not accounted for ( and this is my error ) just how dumb Deruyter is despite him showing his stupidity at the end of the first half. With Boise State with 1 remaining first half timeout, he ran hurry up with just over two minutes to go in the half on first and goal. There is not a single excuse for that happening. It cost his team 3 points and might have cost him more had he not gotten fortunate. This should have been a sign to me that he has no concept of game management at all. Running hurry up while ahead 12 with 18 minutes left in a football game where the opponent ran something like 60 first half plays against your less than stellar defense takes a lack of intelligence that boggles the logical mind.

Got to be honest .. while I have done well vs the number ( lots of movement today that I haven't examined so I might even be behind close now for all I know ) this year ( probably better than any year ), I have zero confidence in what will happen in any of these ball games. No feel at all... moreover, I find some of the moves a bit interesting to say the least.
