Sorry, went away to check some shit (& came across what appears last). I'm winding down my attention to bball in preparation for a trip, but I'ma dig a little into the Blow Jobs game. After facing 2 teams who possibly meet in the WS, they have to feel better about now getting to face the absolute opposite of the form/talent spectrum. Usually you're safe being wary about dealing with teams on decent losing streaks, but not having won since the AS break has got to feel a little like not having won since opening day. Those guys should be chomping at the bit, I'd imagine Houston loses (at least) one of these games by a handfull of runs. RL chase? But I gotta dig a little more. That's just a surface appreciation without knowing many specifics,

Talk about blowing some basic fielding costing your team huge. If the 1st baseman does the job, Timmy is still with us today.

Locked in Baltimore on the better team and better pitcher theory. Guthrie's charming habit of giving up 5 or more runs is entertaining though.
 
Minn is 3-7 last 10 vs Seattle and played a very soft game last night at Angels. Thinking NY first half and game but no bet yet.
 
I think the Orioles are a great investment for Thursday.. Here is why.


O's starter Gonzalez has been one of the hottest pitchers in baseball. 8 straight QS and here are his stats during this stretch..

6-1 2.35 ERA 1.04 WHIP

Also during this stretch he faced top offenses.. KC is not a top offense, in fact they are one of the worst. they avg a paltry 3.9 runs per game, they are cold as ice right now.


Guthrie on the other hand has been terrible lately.. 4 out of his last 6 starts he gave up 5+ runs. His ERA has been over 5 in June and July. Lefties are batting .303 against him and in the last two months he has walked more batters than he has struck out.

His WHIP is sitting at 1.41 right now.

The icing on the cake?

Balty does great against RHP .276 BA, .798 OPS.

anyone watching the pit/was game? this is the worst home plate umping i have seen for quite a while...on both sides...everything within 4 inches of the plate is being called a strike.
 
a lot of times the umps will expand their strike zones on getaway games, big_units.

Just like the players have to leave after today to go to the next spot, the umps travel somewhere before they work tomorrow, as well.

Please tell me why/how they are bogus? Dont give the bullshit reason "why would books give this information out"

The percentages mean a lot less to me in baseball than other sports and its just one tool. Its not something you solely base a wager on by any means whatsoever.
