Good point, I think youre right. May still consider as I think the 4th game may be the toughest for them anyway.
 
A's worst team avg in day games last season at 248 . Lose Ellis and Nomar to the DL and Giambi day to day with a hamstring or groin issue but out today . Chavez bum elbow but playing . This year .183 in day games and Nomar was 4/11 yikes ! Braden 2 away starts this season and OAK has scored NO RUNS !

Texas w/o Hamilton and just 246 this season in day games after 266 last year good for 8th ....

After a day off maybe an UNDER here as well ..?? Tex 5.50 ERA in day games last season but has just 2 guys millwood and Fransisco this year under 6.30 in limited day work...





 
Think the 1st point for me is if you have been playing Grand Salami UNDERS (Thursdays and Sundays) would say today does not qualify as play . Its not the typical Thursday getaway as most series are 4 game sets just beginning . So with 2 day games actually lean over but not playing it rather keeping it mind ...

decided last minute to play Texas ML -130 ....just thought Braden was a bad fit @ Texas which he didnt pitch well in Sept 08 ...nice day splits for him though and the total was contradicting itself info wise ..numbers say under but gut says over ...

might parlay KC to under or pass with the rain delay...:cheers:gl

Damn Nut. GOing against you here. Took the A's and almost took the under. Think the A's take this one 6-4.
 
on paper Burress is a LHP who struggles vs LHP bats which is a plus for KC and Davies has been great vs LHBs so far .103 BAA struggled vs RH .300+ . That is a plus for TOR with 7 RHBs....

thats enough to say forget the Under for me ....

Was looking at Oak at first to be honest . Then the whole Padilla progression and the supposed revealation he tweaked his mechanics and those missing MPH have come back in Balt . Braden a flyball pitcher in Texas is not a good fit . No run support in 2 away starts and historically poor Day offense scared me onto Texas ...

Just 253 runs in its last 60 day games is 4.2 per and tough to win like that in Texas IMO

dont think it changes anything opinion wise but just wanted to make sure you knew it was just the 1st three games of the series. Agree that game 4 is the toughest of the 4 game set . If NY cant win games 1 and 3 with AJ and CC vs Ortega making career start #2 and away start #1 and Matt Palmer making career start #5 , we are going to have walk past the back pages of the News and Post because the headlines are going to be huge , loud and in bold print..lol...its not like these guys are anything more then borderline prospects and thats more Oretga then Palmer ....really three games makes the decision easier . With any type of good play the Yanks could easily win all 4 games but we know they Yanks are to consistency what Americans are to savings accounts ...allergic to eachother .....

staying away from the KC game I guess just cant pull the trigger on KC ML for some reason. Think its the fact that LH in the day have given KC trouble and Davies is allowing RHP to hit 300 while Jays have bounced back after every loss so far .....

anyway Jays 6-1 in day games(3.32 ERA ) an dKC 2-6 (3.9 ERA)

jays 2008 32-18 3.03 ERA and KC 29-24 4.40ERA

Toronto is just to tough figure IMO. Last year was a good SP staff and this year based mostly on offense but the SP was solid and is sliding now due to injuries mounting . So dont know who or what Tor is at the moment .......same for KC in a sense they hit 280 last year but have been hot and cold vs LHSP which seems to be happening again but improved with Guillen in the lienup ..

I'm listening to the Rangers/A's game - announcers say that Campos seems to have an "extended" strike zone today, although he was a AAA umpire.
Also, two balls have been hit to deep right that the announcers seemed to have thought were going to leave the park, but both were "knocked down" by the wind.
A's left the bases loaded in the first and also just had a guy thrown at the plate, even though Padilla is getting hit hard.

Over could be a tough one today, although it's early.

weeble I feel your pain ...now Texas with the missed opps in the b4th and b5th . Dont think OAK had a shot like Tex did in the b5th with 2nd and 3rd no out middle of the order though ...

leadoff double ...looking great for the A's IMO now as far as momentum goes.....

That sucks. Sometimes I get more angry at the wins that I didn't play than the losses that I did play.

As for KC ML, I have a personal opinion about betting against my team...I just don't do it. I did, however, take the KC team total. So now I get to count my money in the 3rd inning and cheer for my Jays to make a comeback. Win-win if they do. :cheers:

Thats my forte ..talk myself out of plays or go back and forth forver then decide to play it and as I hit submit it goes OTB..a get a laugh out of it most days but when your having a bad day or like today only 1 play it gets old...

good call on the TT really think its a great way to go when you have angle on a game but cant decide . Hence my SF TT over 4 runs yesterday ....funny is same deal it cashed in the 3rd as well...

Boston ML because TB returns from a 9 game road trip on no rest which is a spot for me that I am looking to fade if nothing stands out against it ...not an easy spot for Boston either by any stretch though

Wash 1st 5 ML and some sort of ML or RL full game play ..maybe an over based on what I can see available for the pens when I check (by available also mean who may be overused lately)

Yanks -1.5 RL and maybe the under because its real cool here and NYY . Hoping for a 6-3 game . As I said the line IMO should be higher and much higher but who who wants to lay -220 to -240 when its not a wide open layup ..?? I dont ..Yanks still are 2-8 L10 series openers in 4 game sets and just 1-5 at home in that span . Still think it means more to NY after LAA won 5 of 6 to end the season vs us and the fact we have to save face in a sense for being swept in Boston. We cant afford to lose to inferior opponents IMO....

Have to look at the Cubs game more but typical method we me is power RHP( Volstad here ) vs a team built on RHBs mostly power hitters is usally a very favorable sot for the SP if he is on his game.....FLA actually winning vs LH so far and got a warmup vs Johan yesterday . Cantu on fire with 3 Hrs since like the 6th inn 2 days ago...

Same deal with MILW game in regards to power pitchers . Look at how well Snell a solid RH pitched yesterday vs MILW who is now 8-2 L10 I think . Fact is Gallardo won that game singlehandely with a solo HR and CG shutout .....Zona bats awaking as well...

SD ML maybe +1.5 RL - so far Geer has been decent or better everytime he has started since late last year . LAD another team off a long ass road trip of 3 cities as well . Only coming from SF though but did drop 2 of 3 last year in the same situation ..LAD has home field and a better lineup but refer Geer right now to McDonald and dont even debate the bullpens asSD wins in a landslide...its a matter of SD carrying over some late momentum that seen them score 5 runs at COL yesterday on 3 hrs and see if SD can continue to be a solid offense when on the road unlike Also I am well aware of Max's poor start to his career in games he has started . Something I have often brought up as reasons to play against him. The kid is top prospect at some point this trend will change so you either wait for it to happen or you pick and choose your spots to back him with that in mind ......
 
Toss in that Max got HUGE action in both his starts against Randy Johnson??? (In his last start he opened -120 and when to -140 after losing at home -102!!!) Now he is underdog to SoupCan??? Some of the points made on Soupcan are valid as early in the year he is much better. (He was even the opening day pitcher at SF vs Linecum so he must have done something right in ST and it wouldn't surprise me if he continues the Milw win streak.) But everytime I bet him he leaks out a lot of runs so I'm leaning the other way too!:seeya:

Sports - had time to read your posts on the Yanks last night before bed, I believe they may be on page one actually, thanks for the tip :shake: I do believe Burnett should get it done too, Angels offense isn't THAT scary..Yanks being incosistent at the plate in innings the last few games has me scared but ehh,

(haven't put it in yet, but believe I will) - payout is pretty dang good too. One of the few times the past couple weeks I've seen a good looking favorite ML parlay that looks that nice. Then again it is all 3 home teams in NBA...
 
Oh and I do like Scherzer a lot as a pitcher, not too familiar with Suppan, BUT did see Scherzer in person once last year and a few times this year, if he's locating its a sizzla.

Just remember that this is the DBacks first road trip after a LONG home stand (I think they played 18 of their first 21 at home? Somewhere around there...)

laa @ nyy : i'm having trouble finding any kind of good value in this game. i really can't bet the angels but i dont want to lay -220 juice on the yanks and certainly not -1.5. the only possible bet would be the over but even that could be marginal because last time burnett had the 10.5 total it slipped under by .5

bos @ tb : i got unbelievably fucked by boston yesterday and every time i bet against them they find a way to pull ridiculous shit. i'll go out on a limb and say TB and over if it can get 8.5 but i really don't want to bet this.

stl @ was : cashed with wash +1.5 last night and damn does it feel nice to cash with the nats every once in a while. because you have to be so damn picky in your spots. cabrera's line looks kinda rough last time out but he got some brutal breaks and the mets took advantage. i'm really looking to ride the nats again. +1.5 and possibly ML.

ari @ mil : zona is definitely a play for me. hard to explain but i would lay -1.5 as well.

fla @ chc : florida kinda owns the cubs and the cubs have been playing like garbage. but give me a fuckin break here. i'm loving this cheap line on the cubs and i'll slam. only thing i'm slightly worried about is bullpen. i know volstad is good and ive bet on him a couple times already this year and im sure many more times to come. think cubs bat awaken a bit and marshall does a solid job.
 
Daniel Cabrera will toss a gem tonight against STL after he retires Pujols the first two times around...

I think he'll finish with 2ER's,

I can see Nationals putting up 5 runs in the 1st 5, so I like Nationals a lot
 
I also believe Cabrera will be pretty good tonight.

Jimbo, I personally do not believe there is any value in taking the RL tonight with the Nat's, especially with the heavy juice that accompanies it. I think they win straight up so + money might be the better option. Just my opinion though.
 
Yup I wouldn't take +1.5 either,

However, Nats -1.5 is +190 - I think I'm taking a Stab at that for half a unit, and One unit on the ML.

Meredith mostly good but has given up 5 runs last 2 games

Dodgers have Kuo bad home era not good at all
Mota good home era but short sample and generally garbage
that leaves 4 other pitchers for the Dodgers
Some look great and some look ok but they are all good at home
Heath Bell does look strong but he has never gone more than 1 inning
Clear advantage in pen to the Dodgers
 
You would think that there would be a let down for the Cardinals. The problem is Cabrera walks people and takes too much time and with this team that means errors and bad things happen. Will be on Washington tomorrow.
 
Remember this, the Cardinals have won the first game of every road series and lost the second game of every road series.

Just starting to get organized now..

I played this parlay that actually payed better then I thought it would have considering the chalky aspect.. only thing in so far ...

Yanks ML , Sixers ML and DBacks +1.5 RL
(of course I like the ML but went for the safer avenue) ..@ -240 , -270 and -220 in returns 1.82 to 1 ..(the DBacks ML rather then +1.5 RL pays 2.88 to 1 huge difference obviously) -

reasons :
Yanks should really take a long look at themselves if they lose this game . Anything can happen in baseball as we all know but some things just shouldnt happen ....LAA is w/o Vlad , Lackey , Santana and Escobar or 3/5s of their rotation with 3 guys who had no wins until yesterday...yada ,yada , yada..I beat this to death and doesnt seem like its a "square " play ...

Sixers ML : Dwight suspended and Lee done for the playoffs . Hedo and Lewis didnt enter this series all that healthy to begin with and of course they had already lost Nelson late in the season. Its about as obvious as it sounds here . Philly down 3-2 gets a gift facing ORL w/o Howard most of all and the games were decided both times on last minute buckets if I recall in Philly .. 2 pt win by Philly think Iggy and 3 pter by Hedo the next game so they Sixers have already held their own ....

DBacks +1.5 / RL : probably the one that feels the riskiest and maybe why I opted for +1.5 . Milw is red hot and Zona started slow , imo everyone faded MILW all series and probably feel the sting of it . Chances are that means people will choose MILW before ARI here .

MILW vs RHSP so far 129Ks to 65 bbs and only team with more Ks vs RHs is Pitt at 132 ...247 avg (11th in the NL)as well with 21 hrs ..Max has had the big inning blues so far and again not the guy most likely to lead his team to a win when he starts .....

The last start was excellent to the b5th and that qualifies as one of his worst and believe the Philly start a year ago was his 1st ML start but could be wrong . Probably been a tad better on the road as well but here it is 5 away starts they Backs scored 2 , 3 , 2 , 2 , and 0 for him ..

So Geer did well in his first start (0 BBs, 6 hits, 1 ER, in 7 IP) at Philly. But hel was then brought in for relief vs Pit last Saturday and got shelled for 5 ERs on 7 hits and 0 BBs.

McDonald has given up 10 ERs in 7.1 IP on the road this season, but hasn't allowed a single run in 5.1 home IP.

Question is, did the over lose all value going from 8.5 to 9.5??:4_12_12:

Just walked in ..

have SD +1.5 RL -150 and ML +140 with small play on 1st 5 inn ML +140 , Over SD 4 runs TT and Over RHE 28.5 with small play on the over 9.5 ...

be back in abit trying to see whats going on .......GL all
