San Antonio +6.5 (4400 to win 4000)

(that's about what I'm up in the last 10 days that I havent collected from my dad...i have a local in ny and my dad collects)...

The Spurs haven't lost two games in a row st8 up on this rodeo trip in several years....This is a statment game for them as they've been plagued by press reports about their record against +.500 teams. The whole team is healthy and they have dominated Phoenix for the past few years. This line is WAAAYYYYYY off...obviously the line has to be this high...i knew last week i'd be pounding San Antonio today...Phoenix's play has been nothing short of incredible, and the Spurs have been playing somewhat uninspired basketball as of late. However there is little that seperates these two teams on either court b/c they can both win against the other on the road. 6.5 points is rediculous value as this is the one game you will see everybody on the Spurs putting out 100%...whether you like it or not, they are a team who saves some for the post season, but this is different...off a loss to the Jazz, they NEED this one for their confidence going into the All-Star break. The matchups, we all know them by now...both teams have about the same amount of scoring off the bench...both teams rebound about the same, the only difference is that Phoenix has STARTED to play decent defense this season. The Spurs have dominated the defensive statistics out west for years. Down the stretch, the Spurs have too much firepower to go down lightly, and I'd rather count on San Antonio to get the late stops, than a D'antoni coached track team.

This line means that Phoenix would be favored IN San Antonio right now,

excuse me while i laugh my fucking ass off!!!!!!!

The Spurs have won this game 120-118...they have won this game 90-78...(they consistantly find ways to rise up and beat down these Suns, whichever side of them you see)...Duncan will have a field day down low tonight, he imposes himself on games like this and Phoenix doesn't provide the best help defense in the post...Parker and Ginobli are key tonight...they will be the ones running off of long rebounds, gettin some key points to stop runs and slow down the Suns high powered attack...I cant remember the last time that San Antonio recieved this many points, I really cant...must be years, I am soo confident I've just made 4K i'm spending my winnings when i get off work before the game!

On my Spurs as well after looking into it more. They should respond in a big way tonight.

B.A.R and Killa have decided to collab again, isn't that sweet...lol, but I'm very happy Killa is on this one, he and I agree very infrequently...we look for different things in spots...soo this makes me happy...

(shoulda known he liked it along with reno...first game back off a long road trip for Phoenix and San Antonio off a loss...situational handicappers dream!)

Your dad collects your money? Local. And the local gives you 6.5 on SAS? Funny that's what 5 Dimes gives as well. Why not just take the ML on the SAS if you're that confident? +240

Why wasn't there all this focused magic when they were playing Utah last night who were down the booz? That score seemed like they were playing pretty hard last night. They played the Fakers pretty hard too and I considered it really a loss for them considering what they can do. Duncan got a lucky break in OT with a 3 pointer. They barely won.

So in this road trip (which who cares about the rodeo history that forces them out) they barely beat the Fakers and can't beat the Jazz when the Jazz are missing a key player. I respect your opinion and the ones of your associates, but basketball winning is not a long term history lesson. Short term at best and this short term record shows this team is tired.

Anyway, I think you know the Suns are going to win too. You're just riding the spread which can f you if the Suns really breakout. To them 6 points is cotton candy. GL. Be funny if you're dad believes this too and holds the bet instead of wagering it.

good luck bill, u could buy some nice things with that money- myself i would buy a QP, a couple cases, some clothes, and some women IMO- i just unloaded on it as well- i fuc*in lost this bet today on 1st round tiger woods against jimenez and edfors cuz that girl jimenez beat me by one- i was wonderin what bankroll u started with and how long it took to build up to what u have now- cuz my dream is to win a dime bet and just get high for weeks

Answer: last game's loss shows me that they we're looking ahead to tonight's matchup...as far as the Lakers game...they are one of the most dangerous teams in the western conference with Lamar healthy...they can beat any team on any court, and the Spurs mounted a spirited comeback...lucky? no, a beautifull play that got a wide open shot that never hit the rim...Spurs are competitors, they are born to compete...to take the Suns you have to believe that they can hold a comfortable lead on the Spurs down the stretch and NOT give it back...all year long the Suns have lost large leads, (of course not recently)...but the Spurs are never out of a game...that laker game was a perfect example

^btw, i do not know that the Suns will win and I'm counting on the 6.5 points...I believe the Spurs will win this one st8 up

Ivy - I guess you haven't taken into consideration that the Spurs went clubbin last night and Manu might of had his cocktail spiked cause the bartender has Phx -6.5.....you havent heard this from Mailbu yet? :)

man the strip club angle is one of my favorite handicapping situation i always pound the other team :D

Ive watched this spurs team a bunch and they arent the elite team they once were. Parker is legit.. Manu isnt taking over games like he could.. Roberto or the other 5 is non existant.

I just think they have a lot of holes.. I wish u luck man but i wouldnt be suprised to see them get run off the court here

2 things... im cashmoneymill at covers- and im not sure why they put that post in the penalty box? also i dunno if im the favorite capper to fade but if so i think i figured out something- the killa curse was only in effect when i tailed killa- but he won alot when i didnt take his picks?? and killa, i had some BRUTAL losses with ya since i tailed about 75% of the picks that u lost by .5, 1 or had an injury to a star player

ah...I knew it was someone in this thread was cashmoneymill

Any mnetion of Bill over there goes right to the box. I am suprised they didn't delete it honestly. It must have been KOAJ. Only guy with a clue among those mods.

even though ctg is smaller i definately think this site is WAY better than covers and wagerline

i cannot believe the childishness over there....i left, and now they wont let people even speak my name in the free posts...lmao

How much would you be laying on the Spurs if you weren't up 4k with your book?

I am sure he will answer for himself but you can sense that he is a "feel" type of capper at times. I have/am the same way. It may be reckless but its sucessful for a certain few.

GL I can see this game going either way to be honest will wait till halftime to place a bet.

yeah. dat was terrible. don't do that again mr surfer guy or else . . .

personally i followed my friend philly and diid ok. sorry for yuz other guyz.

i would have played this for maybe 3K if i would have to write the check and send it to NY for the game...when things were going soo good i decided to try and take advantage and really cash in...i honestly could not see past this game, i have no idea how we lost...i've read every argument on both sides from bar/killas thread...some of you guys have the right idea, it's clear to me that the majority of you do not know what to look for during a 48 minute contest...i am 100% positive that i capped the correct side, the Spurs in a 1 point game with 6 minutes left, while covering the spread for the first 44 minutes consecutively should not lose me money...it's ludacris, it's out of character...obviously the Suns are capable of puttin it on any team in the NBA...but they didnt overpower the Spurs, San Antonio shot 38% from the field tonight...the spurs held Pho's shots down, and kept the field goal percentage at 45%...how the hell do they score under 40 in the second half against this team??? you don't have to be playing championship calibur basketball to go 7 for 14 from the field in your last 14 shots of a closely contested game...but hey, we didnt need them to go 7 for 14...that was for them to WIN...we needed 10 points out of their last 14 field goal attempts...from the fucking Spurs...whoever talks about fatigue should simply stop capping sports
