San Antonio +6.5 (4400 to win 4000)
(that's about what I'm up in the last 10 days that I havent collected from my dad...i have a local in ny and my dad collects)...
The Spurs haven't lost two games in a row st8 up on this rodeo trip in several years....This is a statment game for them as they've been plagued by press reports about their record against +.500 teams. The whole team is healthy and they have dominated Phoenix for the past few years. This line is WAAAYYYYYY off...obviously the line has to be this high...i knew last week i'd be pounding San Antonio today...Phoenix's play has been nothing short of incredible, and the Spurs have been playing somewhat uninspired basketball as of late. However there is little that seperates these two teams on either court b/c they can both win against the other on the road. 6.5 points is rediculous value as this is the one game you will see everybody on the Spurs putting out 100%...whether you like it or not, they are a team who saves some for the post season, but this is different...off a loss to the Jazz, they NEED this one for their confidence going into the All-Star break. The matchups, we all know them by now...both teams have about the same amount of scoring off the bench...both teams rebound about the same, the only difference is that Phoenix has STARTED to play decent defense this season. The Spurs have dominated the defensive statistics out west for years. Down the stretch, the Spurs have too much firepower to go down lightly, and I'd rather count on San Antonio to get the late stops, than a D'antoni coached track team.
