I know we already have an Official Props Thread, but I feel a wager of this caliber deserves its own thread. I can't find the posted Over/Under time because I am at work so if anyone can post it that'd be great. Lets dissect this from all angles...

I hear Jordan Sparks is doing the national anthem. A friend told me that since she is young and new to the music industry scene, should will be very nervous and will tend to get right through it without prolonging it. However, I feel that her being young might lead her to be more 'fancy', taking her time and maybe throwing in her own style. I remember when you have a Vet (like last year) they tend to go right through it wasting no time. The under won by a ton last year (unfortunately I know).

All thoughts, ideas and all that are greatly appreciated. This is the biggest National Anthem of the year guys, so lets cap this one right.

My friend told me that last year Billy Joel sang it in 1min 44sec and that the O/U this year is 1:42. If this is the case, I love the over. I can't confirm if these facts are accurate tho. However, last year Billy Joel flew and I can't for the life me envision a female artist singing any quicker than that.

She holds some of those notes for a lot longer than most other people I have heard sing it - and that was 1:38. I think you can easily give her 3 more seconds during the big game. I am actually thinking of taking the over for a big bet - I really think it hits around 1:50.

If you can find a place to go OVER 1:38 and UNDER 2:02... then I'd say you have a VERY good chance at a middle, and I'd even lay up to -125 on each side... worst case is you lose $5 for every $4 wagered but there's an even better chance you wind up winning both of them....

I found it on one of my books (oddsmaker) early this week. It was at 1:45.5 -115, so I hit it for the $50 max they had. It's already up to -175. Another interesting one was "Number of aircraft to do flyover in pregame ceremonies." They had the O/U at 3.5. Looking at the videos of the anthem, I noticed it was rare to have less than 5, generally going with 6. The past couple of years, they've alternated between the Blue Angels and the Thunderbirds. Last year it was the Blue Angels, and this year it'll be the Thunderbirds. I have a hard time believing that the Thunderbirds are going to use only 3 planes for their flyover this year. That one's sitting at -280 now. Any other opportunities for easy money besides tails?
