I was absolutely going to lay off this game, too. Then the line dialed back a bit and I got a great price. The spot was good, though, I can't fault anything about that, it was just one of those games where the home team came out flat and the other team hit shots early.

This is one reason why regular season NBA, much like regular season hockey, and some regular season baseball, is so difficult. In the grand scheme of things, this game will mean nothing to these guys. Even if Detroit misses home court throughout the playoffs by one game, this won't be the one they look back on.

This is just one of those forgettable games where Detroit didn't have a lot of motivation to win and when things went bad early they just seemed to accept that groove and ride it out.

It happens, but that's why some of these games are so hard to 'cap.

The worst part, Luv, is that you know if it would have been the Pistons who were up by 20 at the half we all would have been grinning from ear to ear about what a great price we got on this thing.

I'll tell you this, though, more people than just the ones on this board had it handed to them on this one. There were a couple of serious line moves on this game from three to 3.5 then to 4 before it rolled back. I highly, highly doubt a lot of that money was bought back.

We just got hit, it happens. Doesn't feel good, but it happens.
