The Best of the West (WCF's) Discussion Thread...

im being totally objective... hate both teams equally lol

harden is the much more complete player in my opinion

Complete how though? He literally plays no defense, and regardless of how good of a shooter/slasher/scorer he is, he initiates contact to get to the line and scores a boat load of points from the line. He's not a complete player unless he can play defense...unless 'complete player' has a different meaning to you.

Rate Curry's defense a lot better. Harden is 1st team all-offense.

Exactly. And Curry is 1st team all offense himself, so the defense makes him the more complete player, if we're being objective.

GSW wins by DD in Game 5 imho.
Rockets got their pride win and NBA saved face - now everyone can go home happy...
I like the Over again for Game 5.

Why is everyone jacking off Curry ??

this is a bizarre comment and needs some elaboration

I mean, you're trying to make James Harden more than what he is and I'm even a fan of his

Why is everyone jacking off Curry ??

BetCrimes will have something for you to C&P shortly, but I think it's because he's the all around better player although he's got the cast to support.

Elimination game under coming up :cheers3:

Need to reread the thread, KJ. Worst spot for elim Unders (= best spot for elim Overs) is a game 4/5 from the 2nd round onwards. That spot cashed its Over yesterday.

As for Curry/Harden, seems to me Curry is the better player by dint of the extra effort he gives on defense. Hard to assert he's head & shoulders above Harden offensively, though the latter hasn't broken the all time 3-scoring playoff record with 7 or 8 games (I think it is) to spare

Em deserves quite the shout out for it, didn't realize it existed til he called this guy out

Then he claimed to be using the system for years lol after copying your stuff verbatim and taking credit

I don't stray but makes you wonder, how desperate can you get?

where the hell are you getting these numbers from? Some match and some don't for the season...like steals for harden you have as 9, and I assume you mean per game...he had 154 all season in 81 games or 1.9 steals/game...

3pt% he had 208 made with 555 or 37.5%....

assist numbers I can match up....

am I reading your info incorrectly?

I know where you're getting numbers from now; you're doing the series..makes more sense..sort of

Rockets took 43 FT attempts to the Dubs' 13 FT attempts last game.

Seeing some massive discrepancies this postseason.

Tony Brothers LOVES attention. He loves getting the home crowd booing and riled up. Just a thought.

The Rockets have never really been completely blown out all series and the team is difficult to blow out... especially with a team like the warriors that gets complacent with big leads... Harden has been absolutely awesome this series and in the playoffs (minus game 3 where the entire team was on low energy)

I initially leaned on the warriors after their dismal start on defense in game 4, you could tell Kerr was pissed off and I felt they would bounce back in a big way... I just can't do it with Brothers there to help the rockets keep it close.

Best play might be the under tonight...

plus unders in playoffs in GS has been the way to go.... i believe both games 1-2 were unders..... the only one that went over total was game 4?..... i think best bet is under 2nd half barring a real low score 1st half

straight gambling, 1 unit

its over the 5 game series....do you actually think they scores 32 points a game this season ????

2 posts later he said he realized you were talking about the playoffs. You probably didn't even have to scroll to read his next 2 posts.

Nice hit nbafan.

I would have thought +150 was high as well, but looking at Dwight's FT percentage it was almost spot on. He's hitting 39.5% in the playoffs, which would equate to +153. Being it was his first FT of the night, and he couldn't have established a rhythm (not sure he's ever done that), it justifiably could have been a better price for you. That's a nice hit to start the game off for you....

I dont think i've had a Lareux style post directed at me :). I feel honored.

FT shooting is all about focus. I figured Dwight and the rockets would come out focused just like game 4 and Tony Brothers would help call the game tight.

hope the rockets hang on ftw

I like math, and your post/play intrigued me. I initially thought it should have been +130ish, then I had to look up what the 'true' odds should have been. Just how my brain works...I wasn't trying to argue with you or anything...sorry man.

I don't know everyone thinks I look to instigate something with my posts

You have no need to be sorry about anything... I didn't realize his FT shooting was that bad.... but even so for some reason I thought he'd be more focused today.

Thx

GSW is maybe the smartest team I seen, that has the lowest IQ...
The amount of dumb decisions, completely unforced turnovers and so on, is just mind blowing.
Thompson with two incredibly dumb fouls.
Green with pass to no one...
And it's not just today, it's every game that this team makes 10 - 15 dumb mistakes.
If they play the same way against Cleveland and hard to believe they won't, it can give Cleveland a shot.

yup

They are too arrogant. That is the main problem

Stated it prior to the series... obvious but FT shooting will be the reason the rockets lose this series.

They were all legit fouls though... And silly fouls.

Putting down the league for self fulfilling prophecies is also very silly. Refs have certain tendencies. That's just how it is. It's part of the game.
