Super Bowl In-Game Thread

Just stop

The whole “NFL is rigged for the Chiefs” is laughable though. It’s more like something you’d expect wine moms and FB groups to be talking about and believing…not a sports centered handicapping website where most members know their shit and know infinitely more about sports than the FB group and wine moms.

Next we’re going to talk about all pro sports literally having scripts and want to be taken seriously. It’s such a bad look.

I possess an overwhelming desire for a chocolate glazed donut. I want to eat a box of them with Homer Simpson.

I'll shut up when I see the refs cost them a game. They are basically always in one-score games, so it should happen!

It's very real. I want to be in that fb group.

You don’t have to stop. Just know you sound like a suburban wine mom who “watches football” and loves her home town team.

Brutal call there.
Makeup call.

These aren't needed in the Super Bowl. Usually the refs don't call the weird shit as the games become standalones in the playoffs.

There’s a great example of how NFL officiating just fucking sucks. He wasn’t even close to scoring, and the official is 3 fucking feet away.

The focus should be on how awful the officiating is in the league, not whether or not they’re “rigging it” for any team to win.

here's what happens when you're bad at officiating though, and i see this in all levels of sports. when you're bad, you give the call to the team that is "supposed" to win.

Obviously. It’s the most obvious answer ever. It’s also exactly why/how you now the NFL doesn’t care and LOVES the controversy generated from the awful officiating. It’s literally free and 24/7 having the NFL in everyone’s mouths and ears.

If they cared, they would have fixed it many many moons ago.

Exactly

They receive week+ long content for FREE each week after every controversy.

Spot on.

they could start by replacing the geriatrics with athletes good enough to keep up with the athletes on the field.
