Personally I'm expecting them to collapse in the second half, Freeman is the only tough out in that lineup.

Probably going to go medium on nyy/tb over...expecting a lot of free passes between nova and archer, leading to some possible crooked numbers...as well as both teams swinging decent and should see plenty of middle bullpen guys.

Also looking heavy at Cubs/Stros under...understanding yes it is June in windy with wind blowing out...but first you got a great under ump in Cuzzi behind the dish, Lyles and Smarj have been dealing this year...and i don't see how the bottom of either lineup produces anything today (Krauss Dominguez Gonzalez Lyles & Sweeney Castillo Barney Smarj...yikes)

ESPN on Blanton:

I try not to ever recommend Joe Blanton (0.2 percent ESPN.com fantasy ownership) for even the deepest of fantasy leagues, but I have to take a moment to point out how pinpoint he's been recently in terms of control. In his past eight starts spanning 48 2/3 innings, Blanton has 53 K's and just five free passes. In his three June starts, Blanton has punched out 28 batters in 19 2/3 innings for an insane 12.8 K/9 ratio. His 1-10 record this season (team is 2-12), or 5.62 ERA, or .325 opponents' BA are all solid reasons for not wanting to touch this guy. But a home game against a weak Pirates lineup that has a pathetic 2.8 runs per game and a slash of .213/.278/.349 with a preposterous 145 strikeouts (11.2 per game) in its past 13 road contests, is enough to make me think that Blanton will twirl a quality outing with at least eight strikeouts. If you need the K's for your larger league, take the calculated risk.

I didn't know about the recent strikeout to BB ratio. Interesting.

A few stats pertaining to the ongoing road team futility re the ESPN Sunday Night spot.

- No road team has won in a regulation 9 innings in 12 games (2 road winners: 1 won in a rain shortened 5 inn game, the other needed extra innings to win).

- Only 1 road team has led at the 5 inning mark in 12 games.

- No road team has led after 1 inning in 12 games (outscored 9-3 in the 1st).

- Home teams have scored 1st in 9 games.

- No road team has posted a TT between 5-7 runs in the reg. 9 innings (over a span of 12 games, that's a lengthy drought for a typical range of scores).

Texas don't seem to like giving Tepesch much run support.

- 6 road starts (all of at least 4.0 IP duration), only once more than 3 runs: 12 against the Asstros (but even with that lopsided score included, his avg road support still only figures in at 3.83 rpg/drops down to 2.20 rpg excluding it).

- Overall: 13 starts for an avg of 3.69 rpg (9 times 3 runs or less).

- In all starts (11) that lasted at least 4.0 IP duration: avg support of 3.18 runs (drops to 2.30 rpg minus the Houston affair).

Only twice has Texas given him more than 3 runs of support in a start he's lasted 4.0 IP in, and one of those was that 12 runs vs Houston.
