First thoughts only, but Raps, Rockets, Mavs and Nets.
Though I doubt I will be playing the Raps, especially since I have my new favorite bet on Heat games on Monday :)

This is a big game for the nets bc they have a west coast roadie starting after this. Hopefully they arent sluggish. I'm predicting the nets finish the season 48-34.

That means they will have to win all their games as favorites and 2 - 3 games as underdogs...

I just went thru their schedule and picked the games I thought they would win. Don't really care if they are favs or dogs

Love the Mavs and Rocket, but Bucks are my favorite play off three straight L's.

Tor 1st half Sunday trend comes into play here for Raps against Miami? Or is that only against the West? Not to mention Boston on deck.....

Why Rockets guys? GS got humiliated at home by CHI and have now lost 3 times to HOU this season. I know they have been struggling recently but I would think they would come out and try to get this win to hold off HOU for the #6 spot.

Warriors suck at revenges. They lost twice to Orlando, twice to the Lakers, twice to Denver, twice to Chicago and the list goes on...
There are teams they play well against and teams they suck against and clearly, they suck against the Rockets.

While the Golden Shower Warriors are a poor 4-8 ATS (-10.0 pts differential, 3-9 SU) without Bogut in their lineup when on the road vs Western teams w/winning home records, they are a pathetic 0-3-1 ATS (-13.2 pts differential, 0-4 SU) when he is in their lineup for such fixtures.

So GS has played Houston twice since the Rockets hung 140 on them and the Warriors resorted to fouling to prevent Houston from setting an all-time record for threes. Houston was -2.5 at home in that one, so we can see some adjustment for current form.

Realized totals for the rematches plummeted. Houston won 140-109 at home, then 116-107 and 94-88 in Oakland. What's next -- 84-71? Seriously, the posted total for today is 216.5 after it was 223 for the last game. Is there any value either way?

Houston (L = last/P = previous)...

L10 games ... h/a 4-6 ... avg line 215.0 ... avg ppg 210.8 ... Hou avg ppg 109.6 ... 7-3 to Under
P10 games ... h/a 4-6 ... avg line 213.0 ... avg ppg 222.3 ... Hou avg ppg 115.5 ... 7-3 to Over
P10 games ... h/a 3-7 ... avg line 204.5 ... avg ppg 200.4 ... Hou avg ppg _98.8 ... 6-4 to Under

Houston averages 8.4 pts less on the road than at home. So pointing out the subsequent 2 meetings have witnessed the game total dropping doesn't mean as much as it might since the first game was in Houston and the subsequent 2 have been in Oakland (hence lower Houston scoring). Also Houston scored ordinarily highly due to that 3 shooting in the first meeting, so it was all but inevitable the next meetings (wherever they were played) were going to be lower scoring affairs. Now they're back in Houston, cue the Rockets scoring more hence being less worried themselves about defending.

I'm not saying this total doesn't seem high, but to me it's got nothing to do with whatever Houston brings to the table. My concern would be another limp, half-assed effort from Golden Shower. They've scored 100+ in 3 of their last 11 games, after scoring 100+ in 8 of their 11 games before that. They're 7-13 SU (5-15 ATS) their last 20 after going 12-8 SU (11-9 ATS) the 20 before that. If someone wanted the Under, I'd suggest take the GS TT Under & so excise Houston's contribution towards matters. Very hard to see the GS TT going Over without the fg going Over as well.

Took Under 195 in Toronto. Can't imagine Heat trying to play a fast pace before facing Boston tomorrow. The fact that it's an early Sunday game and the fact that many trends, stats and common logic support the Under makes me roll the dice here...

[h=2]HEAT AT RAPTORS, 1 P.M. ET[/h] March 17, 2013 · 12:16PM
TV: League Pass

  • The Miami Heat (50-14) look to match the NBA’s second-longest winning streak of 22 games Sunday, (matching the 2007-08 Houston Rockets) against the Toronto Raptors (26-40), the team they started this run against on February 3.

  • The Heat rolled on with a 107-94 win in Milwaukee on Friday, keeping pace on their average of 105.3 points on 50.8 percent shooting while allowing 93.9 during this streak. Despite a nasty fall where Dwyane Wade left the game with a neck sprain, he resumed and went on to finish with a balanced 20 points, nine assists and seven rebounds.

  • After losing six of their last nine games, the Raptors beat the lowly Charlotte Bobcats on Friday, 92-78, behind Rudy Yag’s 28 points and Amir Johnson’s 12 points and career-high 21 rebounds. They will need their best as Toronto has lost 10 games in a row to the Miami Heat.

[h=2]MAGIC AT BUCKS, 1 P.M. EDT[/h] March 17, 2013 · 12:49PM
TV: League Pass

  • Magic forward Tobias Harris is making his first appearance in Milwaukee since being traded by the Bucks in the J.J. Redick deal last month. Just 20, Harris is becoming a key in Orlando’s youth movement. In 11 games with the Magic, he’s averaging 15.9 points and 7.3 rebounds. “I’m excited to be in this situation and grateful for it,” Harris said. “I’m just trying to take advantage of it.” Harris was traded, along with Beno Udrih and rookie Doron Lamb for Redick, forward/center Gustavo Ayon and point guard Ish Smith. “He’s been really good for us,” said Magic coach Jacque Vaughn. I think you learn about individuals as time goes a little bit. My initial impression is he’s been pretty good, whether it’s attention to detail in practice and film, just his overall effort on a daily basis.”
  • Bucks forward Luc Richard Mbah a Moute will miss his fourth straight game with a sprained toe. Mbah a Moute does not appear close to returning. The first two games Mbah a Moute missed, Mike Dunleavy started in his place. Marquis Daniels started Friday night against Miami and will start again today. Daniels scored the Bucks’ first eight points Friday and finished with 14, despite the fact he was starting mostly to guard LeBron James on the defensive end. “Marquis played really well,” Bucks coach Jim Boylan said. “It’s what you hope for when you call on a guy, and Marquis has been a real pro for us. He’s been patient when he hasn’t played and he’s been a positive influence in the locker room and on the bench.”
  • The game marks just the second afternoon start for the Bucks and the fourth for Orlando. “Guys are so routine and regimented that it’s just different,” Vaughn said. “You approach the night before and we have shoot-aroound basically on the practice the day before. Do you go to bed earlier? When do you wake up to eat? How much do you eat? So, routine-wise it throws you off a little bit.” The Bucks also play an afternoon game at home next Sunday against Atlanta. “It’s always an odd time,” Boylan said. “It’s always a change. Back in the old days there used to be a lot more of these day games, but now everybody’s mostly playing in the evening. It’s different. You’ve got to get the guys ready, you’ve got to get them up earlier. So it’s always interesting to see which team is going to come out a little flat, a little slow, who’s ready, who’s not.”
  • How’s this for a numbers game? The Bucks are 16-16 at home, 16-16 on the road, they were 16-16 under Scott Skiles and are now 16-16 under Boylan. … Dunleavy has gone scoreless in the last two games. That’s the first time he’s played two games without scoring since his rookie season in 2002-’03.

Bored waiting on brackets .. give me a Sec half play in lac Knickerbockers

Early start is the reason the score is so low. I would prob take clippers 2h TT over but I'm done for the week. Nothing else jumps out at me tonight and id just be forcing plays

Clippers off a home loss on a good day. Knicks with no Tyson and have to play at Utah next day.
Also reluctant parlay on Houston ml bringing Kings up to 10.5 and plus money.

Probably a good bet. Have an average bet on Houston minus 7.5 that i may upgrade. Situation is GS is 3-0 this season in the first quarter vs Houston. They lost the first quarter to Bulls due to Curry having a season bad game 2-13 I believe. I expect a bounce back tonight tonight. Do not see this helping for the game with very strong homer refs in the game looking at their abject failure on the road in so many ways but Houston used a lot of energy coming back vs Minn and the first quarter recently has been the only quarter where Gs has really been good.

Probably. Glad I laid off the game. There's something about the clippers that is really really troubling to me. Don't see them being a threat at all in the playoffs. At all.

Oh please don't say it's fixed. The clippers are just mentally weak. Then again, most teams are not that great holding big leads.

Kind of silly. Have a small bet on Clippers but 3 days rest is not their stong suit.
Real bet on Dallas. Seems very easy. OKC playing on the road before Denver who has beaten them last 2 meanwhile Dallas 7-2 ATS last 9.

Probably last bet and I got a lousy number. Minn minus 1.

This was a road favorite. Please note they play at home tomorrow against GS who has won the last 3 at NO. Oh sure this game is really what they are thinking about. Comedy line here.
