GSW should be a play I think, regardless of David Lee question.

Houston should win the Suns that stopped playing almost completely.

Wanted to take the Nets, but they off a win, Hawks off a loss in OT and the line is down to +3 only...

Not liking the card too much. May skip it all together...

Nuggets

I learned something important about this Nuggets team a few days ago, when they traveled on a back to back to Sacramento and pulled out a win and cover. This team is on a mission. They have been playing great teams lately, and in view of their schedule, this game looks like the perfect spot for a letdown from them. Except... one thing. What does it look like, when one of the best teams in the league, a team that plays relentlessly and expertly on their home court, seeks revenge for one of their three home losses this season?

At practice on Friday, George Karl presented his team with the following question:

"'Who are the only three teams to beat us at home this year?' he asked.

Without hesitation, the players answered in unison.

'Miami, Minnesota, Washington.'

'Who are we playing tomorrow?'

'Minnesota.'

When you are tied for the best home record (27-3) in the NBA, the rare setbacks tend to stick in the memory bank.

Two months later, the Nuggets (41-22) have won seven in a row overall and 12 in a row at Pepsi Center. They are determined not to let the T-Wolves catch them sleeping as they make their push for playoff seeding.

'We can’t take them lightly,' Denver point guard Ty Lawson said. 'That’s what we did in the first game. Kevin Love got hurt and we let our guard down. They came in and beat us. We’ve got a chip on our shoulder this time and we’re going to make sure that doesn’t happen again.'"

Barea gave his take on the Nuggets: “You've got to keep them away from the paint. Make them a half court team and live with it. Run on them on the other end.” The Timberwolves are 27th in the league in transition effectiveness, and the Nuggets defense is 2nd in defending transition. The Wolves are not a fastbreak team, as only 12.39% of their points per game come in transition (as opposed to the Nuggets where 18.57% of their points come in transition). The Wolves are in the bottom ten in guarding the fast break. They are in the bottom half in the league at guarding the paint. Now, with Kirilenko, Pekovic, and Love out of the line up, their interior defense is virtually non-existent. So... good luck Barea. It is nice to talk up your game plan, but you may find it a lot harder to execute.

The thing I love about this team is that they have depth like no other team. I realize the Clippers bench is great, but if the Nuggets bench played the Clippers bench, Nuggets win 8 out of 10. Their backups would beat their starters about 50% of the time. So, there is no drop off in rotation, which is what makes it super tough for teams to hang around for the duration of a whole game. And, if players aren't playing well, they can easily be replaced. This pushes them to play hard every night, and their team chemistry is exactly where it should be at this point in the season.

The Nuggets are 15-0 SU and 13-2 ATS at home this season when the game total is 205 or more. I think this will be an annihilation tonight. Well, simply put, it will be... Payback, Nuggets style.

Nuggets -14.5 x2
Bucks +3.5
Nets +3

May have more later...

Good luck...

[TD="class: alt1"] Nets

The Hawks have had a very difficult schedule recently. They returned off a 6 game western conference road trip, had one game at home, then had to travel to Boston where the game went into overtime. Larry Drew on his team’s mood before the Nuggets game: "Tired both physically and mentally. It's been a long road trip. Fatigue does factor into at this point." I don’t think that having only two days rest since the Nuggets game is enough time to recover from their fatigue, especially after an overtime game. Since the 2003 season, teams playing at home on no rest after an overtime game are 50-70 SU and 45-74-1 ATS (average line -2.2). Teams playing their fifth game in seven days at home on no rest after a road game are 106-113 SU and 86-131-2 ATS since the 2005 season. Since the 2006 season, teams playing their fifth game in seven days on no rest at home after a road game are 69-77 SU and 51-94-1 ATS when their opponent has rest the next day.

The Hawks depend on a lot of their points to come from beyond the arc (they are third in the league in points per game from threes). Statistically, there is a drop off in three point shooting percentage for unrested teams playing their fifth game in seven days. The Nets are fourth in the league in three point attempts allowed per game, so they should limit the good looks that the Hawks get tonight. The Hawks also struggle to guard the three point line, and while the Nets are not the greatest three point shooting team, they can get hot (reference last night). Teams coming off a road loss where their opponent attempted more than 10 three pointers and made at least 50% of them are 36-34 SU and 26-41-3 ATS (average line -2.7) at home when both they and their opponent are playing on no rest since the 2005 season.

The eastern conference playoff race is tight for home court advantage, with only 4.5 games separating the 2 seed from the 7 seed. The Nets currently hold a 1.5 game lead over the Hawks. The Hawks are the better team of these two, but if the Nets can hang around for three quarters, I think they should be able to win this game down the stretch. Joe Johnson and Deron Williams both had poor games in their last outing in Atlanta, but I expect that at least one of them will have a big one tonight.

Bucks

Two nights in a row, the Warriors are faced with opponents that present major match up problems for them. The Bucks have been playing great since the acquisition of Redick. I thought it was going to be too much back court for one team, but they have somehow integrated him well into their guard heavy lineup and he seems to take defensive pressure off the other players. Monta Ellis is averaging 25.6 points on 52.6 percent shooting over the last five games, and Jennings has a double-double in each of his last three games, averaging 16.3 points to go along with 16 assists. They are playing really well as a team. Teams that have won at least four of their last six games are 28-28 SU and 40-14-2 ATS since the 2007 season when they are coming off a road loss and playing on the road as a dog against an unrested opponent. Rested teams that are playing in at least their second game on the road in a non-conference match up against an unrested opponent are 16-6 SU (+6.4 ppg) and 17-4-1 ATS since the 2005 season. In all games, rested teams playing on the road after another road game are 35-33 SU and 44-23-1 ATS against unrested opponents since the 2005 season.

The Warriors put up a good effort against the Rockets for three quarters last night, and then had a horrible fourth quarter offensively. That is what happens when you live and die by the jump shot. Since the 2006 season, teams coming off a loss where they led at the end of the third quarter are 159-194-8 ATS in their next game when playing on no rest. The Warriors are 1-5 SU against the Bucks in their last six meetings, and the Bucks have a chance tonight to sweep the season series.

One last thing... pressure.

GS is not playing well. Jack the back up point guard seems to have lost his shot. Big loss for the team

GSW in a must win game in my eyes.
Looking at the schedule they got left, I'm sure that they marked this one as must win.

On top of that, I honestly can't see how can you trust on a road a team with Jennings and Ellis. They can shoot you out of the game in no time.
Also, Bucks don't have that much to play for and Ilyasova is ?
Sanders is a huge asset to any team and Reddick is great player, but it's hard to trust this team.
If Ellis/ Jennings were injured, maybe I would have trusted them...

I would have played the Nets, maybe will still play them, but I don't like to play against teams that play B2B off OT loss.
Many times watched such games and teams that lose in OT, always feel unlucky and determine to prove themselves.
But Hawks schedule lately been brutal!

I really like the parlay Knicks & Memphis ML, but the odds are a bit too short...

I also like the Under in Atlanta and Over in Phoenix. I think that without Gortat, Suns turned in to fully run & gun team with no defense what so ever.

I also like Denver today. I can count 3.5 teams in the league that I trust in revenge spots.
Denver, Oklahoma, Miami off a home loss and Lakers on the road as very short dogs or favorites (up to 3.5 points either way).

Still haven't looked over the card as I've been out all day. Will look in a few hours but the nuggets play is a must.

On Denver myself. Average bet on Suns plus 6.5.

Did not really work their players too hard here.
Houston goes from a team they have owned to one that has been dominant over them and does not like them
Houston not exactly an ATS giant recently away
HOUSTON IS 8-12 SU AND 8-12 ATS IN THESE GAMES.

Suns well aware that the next game is in Houston
Dragic not interestedv in losing to his old team

Not exactly something that should help the Bucks tonight:
Brandon Jennings says if he signs a one-year qualifying offer this summer, there "no way" he's coming back to Milwaukee as an unrestricted free agent in 2014.

Jennings is scheduled to be a restricted free agent this summer and says he'll only stay with the Bucks if they offer him a long-term deal and make changes to the team and the organization. Jennings' name was bandied about in trade rumors at the deadline and he's openly flirted with the idea of leaving the Bucks in the past. We'd say it sounds like he's a goner, but the Bucks can pay Jennings the most money and that's always a factor

Never could understand what makes guys say those things, after trade deadline passed and before the season have ended.

Btw, forgot to mention that while I have zero idea how it will effect tonight's game, but Monte got traded last year for a player that was injured and couldn't play for the rest of the season. He also lost the battle of the franchise player for Curry.
Bogut also got dumped by the Bucks.

I also like the Under in Atlanta and Over in Phoenix. I think that without Gortat, Suns turned in to fully run & gun team with no defense what so ever.

I also like Denver today. I can count 3.5 teams in the league that I trust in revenge spots.
Denver, Oklahoma, Miami off a home loss and Lakers on the road as very short dogs or favorites (up to 3.5 points either way).
on the same page...however i think i missed the number on denver..its up to -16..still play? i can't make up on mine

On the nets/hawks game,

the nets have shortened up their rotation to get more consistency going and better team chemistry.... the nets finally broke the home losing streak yesterday with a spectacular performance by deron who looks really healthy and energetic on both ends of the court...

the hawks are still a dangerous team but the team has had a terrible schedule recently... i think the nets bench will be the difference tonight.... hopefully Joe Johnson plays a little better than the previous two matchups this season

on the same page...however i think i missed the number on denver..its up to -16..still play? i can't make up on mine
Maybe just watch the game at the start and hopefully Minny can get a lucky lead then hit an in-game for a better number. I know it's likely though that Denver blows the door of them but you never know.

Now, you see my problem.
Kings opened as -1 against Bucks. GSW -3. How on earth is it possible???

on the same page...however i think i missed the number on denver..its up to -16..still play? i can't make up on mine

Who knows, I think that Denver will score 109+, while Wolves won't get to 95 points...

2 out of the bobcats' 13 wins this season are against the wizards.... and this is the most points the wizards have been favored by this season

both teams are on long ats losing streaks.... not sure if the linemakers just want to give the bobcats an ats win? lol

Both those wins by Charlotte were in November when the Wizards were without Nene and Wall. Wash -11 for me. Big play.

Hawks 3-4 SU and ATS on Saturday at home this season.

To the Nets credit, of the 4 straight road losses that have occurred on Saturday this season, 1st was at Miami, other 3 they were on a B2B versus a rested opponent. Slightly different scenario tonight. The other games post-2012/13 mean little because the Nets were awful for the most part after the Kidd-Martin-Jefferson era...

Faves 82-64 ATS on Saturday in 2012/13.

Ass backwards is an understatement this season...

Interesting stat for Atlanta's defense.

In their 1st 32 games, they held teams to 90 pts or less 11 times.
In their last 29 games, they've held teams to 90 pts or less just 1 time.

Golden State stat -

In their first 31 games, they had 9 games finish within a 183-196 pt range.
In their last 32 games, they've had 0 games finish within a 183-196 pt range.

To put that in perspective with other notable *run-&-gun/Over* teams...

Denver has had 3 games fall within that pts range over their last 32 games.
Houston has had 3 games fall within that pts range over their last 32 games.
Sacramento has had 4 games fall within that pts range over their last 32 games.

Lee is out.

Golden State All-Star forward David Lee said he’ll miss the game after suffering a bruised right knee last night in a knee-on-knee collision with Houston’s Thomas Robinson. Lee hopes to be back Monday to face the Knicks, his former team, but wanted the two days’ worth of rest to try to avoid having the injury linger and being “50 percent the next eight games.” Carl Landry will get the start in Lee’s place.
Milwaukee will also make do without its starting power forward; Ersan Ilyasova, who picked up a bone bruise in his left knee Wednesday against the Clippers, is out, according to coach Jim Boylan. Boylan will insert Mike Dunleavy into his lineup at small forward, sliding Luc Mbah a Moute to the 4. It will be Dunleavy’s first start of the season, after 52 appearances off the bench.
This will be Warriors center Andrew Bogut‘s first game against the Bucks, who drafted him No. 1 overall in 2005 and made him a centerpiece until trading him to Golden State almost a year ago — March 13, 2012. The Warriors and Bucks have played twice since making the deal, but Bogut missed both games while rehabilitating from the fractured ankle that cut his 2012 season short. Bogut ranks third all-time in blocks for Milwaukee and fourth in rebounds.
Bogut did not talk to the media pre-game, but Warriors coach Mark Jackson — who played for seven different NBA franchises — reminisced about facing former employers: “I wanted to cook ‘em. I gave all the right answers but my mentality was, I wanted to win, first and foremost, and I wanted to show them what they were missing.”

In their last 32 games, they've had 0 games finish within a 183-196 pt range.

From my pov, it's def. been a day of streaks ending.
