Phillies vs. Braves NLDS Discussion Thread

Suarez likely starter for Phils. 5 starts vs Atl this year. 3.21 era but only one run allowed in the last 17 innings over 3 starts

Braves went 11-8 vs. Phillies during the regular season. Strider’s availability is a key question mark. In 4 games (3 starts) vs. PHI, he went 4-0 w/ 1.27 ERA, 34 K, 7 BB in 21 1/3 IP.

Strider said he felt good throwing off the mound yesterday and got a 6 year $75 million contract.

Looks like Kyle Wright will start game 2.

Agreed have to win with Fried going.

This shit so interesting w the format being so different. These favs had to sit around all week and now their ace is up against the WC teams 3rd or 4th (in pads case), so the WC teams aces will be up against the 2-3 of the division winners,, these favs better not have rusty bats in game 1 and drop the game w their ace or they gonna be put in really tough spots in a 5 gm series!

Braves generally don't hit as well in the daytime either.

I remember you bringing that up during the year. I’d say them and yanks gm1 is absolutely crucial. Stros and lad have enough rotational depth they could handle losing game 1 better than those 2 imo.

Braves won the regular season series 11-8 games
Phillies lost 5 of their last 7 against them

Phillies are going to the NLDS for the first time since 2011

Braves scored 14 runs in its final two regular-season games with the Phillies and posted at least 5 runs in 6 of their last 11 meetings

Braves are the seasoned postseason team looking to defend its World Series title

I see a path for Philly, especially if they could steal game 1 but I think fried is most likely gonna dominate them. I just watched freaking Quintana shut Phillies offense down, he ain’t no Fried! I have a 30-1 ticket on Philly going back to beginning the year (what a waste that was, coulda got those odds or better most the year! Lol). Just bet it cause them and cards had great odds for teams I was pretty confident would make playoffs (fucked me they played each other in round 1), anything can happen in playoffs but I think pads are that team more so than Phillies. Wheeler/Nola give them a punchers chance but I just don’t like the way they swinging the bats, cards gifted them their gm1 runs and they didn’t get much in gm 2 either and not like cards were throwing elite starters at them!

as of now my favorite play would be atl wins gm1/wins series -110. As I’ve said If they don’t hit gm 1 and lose fried start they in trouble imo.

Between Phillies not hitting and only having like 2 guys they can trust out the pen I think this a pretty tough task. That all changes tho if they win gm 1 and then throwing wheeler/Nola the next 2!! Im a strong believe wheeler and Nola can beat just bout anyone right now. Which why I like over 4.5 games +155.

Is something going on w Fried or did someone just hit his props hard enough to get taken down? I just got to casino to hit his over 15.5 out total and all his props off the board now

@2daBank If Ya HAD To Hit Philly 1st 5 ML, (Approx +175) Or +180 ML 4 The Game, Which You Like?!

I Think Either Is Worth A Small Play Due To Atlanta Not Liking Day Games...

:shake:

Sucks Philly had to use so much pen but the bright side is the only 2 guys I trust only threw 18 and 11 pitches respectively. Wheeler will give them 6+ tonight, if he can give them 7 fighting Phils could be up 2-0 going home!! Wheeler over 4.5 k’s and Phillies Ff ml ev for me here. I’ll take wheeler to out pitch wright for 5 innings at even money all day every day!

Feeling a Schwarber HR prop...

Im god awful at hitters. I rarely even look. The times I have I generally end up just playing over 1.5 bases cause usually feel like they really cheat us on what true odds should be for hr.

Not that i hate Phillies Ff now. Who knows what we see from strider? All I know is I bet Philly confidently thinking it was Nola vs Morton!
