You can shoot a lot of 69s at Oak Hill. It doesn't have a lot of brutal stretches, just good solid holes. It defenses are all those mature trees which make it tighter than average, and all those dog legs which make it play longer than its number.

greens are not nearly fast enough, had a feeling today could be the best scoring day with the rain but this is ridiculous

hope it gets a bit more challenging

16-18 can be brutes, but they'll yield a few birdies too. The greens are not very penal. If you can hit fairways you can have a bogey free round.

In that respect Furyk shooting 65 isn't shocking.

On the other hand Phil is a ticking time bomb.

I was refreshing like a crackhead, but Beljan and De Jonge ended up pushing, beat the club pro. I should win like 15$ and get the amount wagered back as well . Decent first day. Duff with a couple stroke lead on Bubba.

Everyone is bitching about low scores, but there are some really high ones, Els, Paddy,Watney, Angel,Donaldson.. I think the course played fair. You wont see any of the leaders stacking another 5 under round on top of their score today.

Edit: Actually scooped up 27.50 on the 3 ball . A couple Basil's on the rocks.:drooling:
