From what I heard about Stamkos is that hes pushing hard to be ready to go, guys healing quickly for how bad that injury was.
 
I've defended the american team in the past, but I think they missed big time...for Vancouver they made almost the perfect team to compete...but what I think they forgot was that it's in Russia this year on the euro ice which is bigger and requires more skating...this team is slow in my eyes and will continuously get beat on the outside, how does Jimmy howard beat out Ben Bishop on this team? Jimmy's been under average all year and hurt... Dustin Brown is going to be in the penalty box alot this tourny too...slow won't cut it on euro ice...Just my 0.02, not hating but I think Poile and co. kind of missed with this team...

As for tourny favs? I think Sweden is going to skate around the competition (yea, blasphemis coming from a Canuck), but I see Sweden doing real well, very deep talent with tremendous skating ability.

I hear ya, but what is it about st.louis you're going to be missing? Leadership? goals? Playmaking? I think all of that is already covered in this group.
