Sorry about the first two you played but I had them with you. But the Jazz came up -3.5 (I grabbed a +4 with Orl) for the second half after being -1.5 FG. That's what we were talking about the other day. Orl lose the 2nd half by 3. There were a couple of half time numbers that were the same as the openers but it needs to be a higher number then the closer. just keep an eye out see what happens the rest of the year. There isn't many.

Love it Hugh, on the under myself. Great to have validation. I noticed today that there are only 4-5 teams this year that are hitting overs at 65% ytd, a few at .500 and most are hitting unders. This is my 3rd year handicapping NBA and haven't noticed a trend like that before to start a season, but for this season at least, it seems the unders are cashing at a ridiculous pace almost a month into the season.

*Think this one's kind of a no brainer: Portland 1H Over 11-1 on the season, with the only under coming in their last game at San Antonio where they scored a resounding 28 points on 30.6% shooting in the 1H. Bounce back for the Rockets as well with Kevin McHale out (players only meeting followed by the head coach being dismissed. Ironic, don't you think...) Plus, the bulk of the criticism has been aimed at the offense, not the defense, so not exactly expecting a full court press from Houston in this one. Both teams above the league average with regards to first half points allowed and scored (Blazers: 51.1 PF, 52.0 PA, Rockets: 53.1 PF, 55.7 PA), and all three 1H's last season were high scoring as well (126, 109, 107).

Full Time O/U: 71-89-4
Top 3: Wizards 7-1-1, Clippers 7-3, and a bunch of teams at 6-5
Bottom 3: Heat 1-9, Nets 3-8, Bulls 3-7

1H O/U: 77-84-3
Top 3: Blazers 11-1, Wizards 8-1, T-Wolves/Thunder 8-3
Bottom 3: Sixers 2-9, Mavs 2-9, Heat 2-8

2H O/U: 75-82-7
Top 3: Cavs 8-3, Kings 7-2-2, Raptors 7-4-1
Bottom 3: Jazz 2-8, Heat 2-8, Nets/Bucks 3-8

As far as ATS goes, Warriors 9-3 ATS 1H (probably not that surprising), Knicks 9-3 ATS 2H (which is really surprising but, off the top of my head, I'm guessing they've been dogged more than favoured to this point, so that might change as the season goes along).

*Just looking at the Kings point totals for the 5 games without DeMarcus Cousins this season: 89 (MEM), 97 (PHX), 110 (HOU), 94 (GS), 88 (SA), and an average field goal percentage of 42.9% (even the game against Houston where the offense busted out for 110, they still only managed to shoot 43.0% on the night). Also won't be helped by the fact that Miami currently have the 5th lowest pace in the league at 96.56, the top defensive rating at 93.9, and are coming off a game where they allowed the T-Wolves to put up 103 despite holding them to 37.1% shooting (in other words, I'd expect the Heat to slow this one down to minimize turnovers).

Even with Cousins, I only had Sacramento in the 90-94 point range, so unless the Heat are willing to run and gun, don't see how the Kings get nearly enough shots to get to 98+ in this one.

As for the others, betting the T-Wolves defensive team totals over to start the season was part of the plan I mapped out back in October, a plan from which I eventually deviated (lord knows why) so back to it. And the two unders are part of the 1H/FT Under system I've been tracking, a system which now stands at 7-14 FT (11-11 1H) according to my numbers, so should be a split at worst.
