***NFL In-Game Thread***

That was one awful game plan by pats. Already vented bout it I n other thread so won’t break it down again but how they thought what they ran in 1st half was a path to having a chance in this game I’ll never know!!

Listening to Jimmy Buffet tonight proved to be the correct move like it will always be til expiration

Arghhhhh

Confident the Jets would control this game for the most part, but didn't think it would be like that. Was this more of the Jets finding themselves vs poor game plan from the Pats? I'm still a little confused as to how guys like Henry get 15 targets in Week 2 vs Seattle, Rhamondre runs the ball down Cincy's throats, yet couldn't get out of their own way against a Jets team who looked very average first 2 weeks? The Jets blitzed a hell of a lot more than usual, and it didn't seem like the Pats were ready for it? There seemed to be little to no adjustment to it. I knocked out at half time, so maybe there's some details from the 2nd someone can share?

Is it safe to say we don't know what any of these teams are until week 4/5ish?

Oh I don't know about that. If anything last night's game made the most sense of all based on preseason expectations. Probably better to say that your opinion shouldn't change on what teams are until week 4/5ish.

The pats game plan was freaking mind boggling to me. Maybe if they had more than 46 1st half yards or 3 total points I wouldn’t question it so much. Problem is if they told me going in they were gonna forgo pretty much any opportunity to establish the run, play out of shotgun and leave rookie tackles on a island while trying to throw on 1st downs, 2nd and shorts, pretty much the whole damn game I coulda told them they woulda had about that kind of output!! Were they intimidated by jets d who as you mentioned hasn’t exactly been a stone wall against the run?? Beats the shit out of me. Im so thrilled they gave me Gibson rush prop on the last garbage time drive I guess I don’t care but that game plan was odd to say the least!!! As @Gandolf said I’m not sure some these teams even know who or what they are until after sept anymore. Obviously there exceptions with teams who been consistently good/well run but overall this why I take this 1st month very lightly with mostly some props, couple totals, and very very few sides, I’ve really only made one close to what I consider a full bet on a side up to this point! That was jets week 2 cause I’m fairly confident I been right to be low on titans as long as Levis is qb!!! And honestly I got lucky to jets won that game let alone converted, then we have last night but if pats played titans next week and you pressed me I’d almost for sure pick pats, or would have before last night! Lol

Fully agree. I don't have the same advanced understanding of the NFL and how teams plan and scheme week to week that some of you have, but one thing has been apparent to me, every goddamn coach is so ultra conservative in the first half, it's like they're afraid to score. Then the 2nd half hits, and everything opens up and all their tricks, long bombs come out. Maybe they're not trying to show their hand early and create more deception to capitalize on later in the game. Whatever it is, it's trash.

The nfl becoming trash has been a long time in the making, at least 10-15 years, when fantasy blew up and they started changing all kinds of rules in name of “player safety” which is really code word for ability to have more influence On scoring, stats, and outcomes! To tell ya the truth I think anything you seeing now is more the impact of so many teams not taking training camp seriously anymore, the limited amount of padded practices they allowed to have! How nuts is that? My nephew in high school still goes thru 2 a days in pads in the august heat but everytime the nfl wants to print even more money by doing trash like adding games the players say they want less and less work on their craft outside of games!!!! None these teams are entirely what they will be come Oct and November, sept has stopped being “real” for years now, my adjustment has been to make money on preseason cause if you do eviugh work you can make free money every year with total mismatches!! Then once the regular season starts I lower my bets, don’t put in nearly the work I do in preseason to figure out who playing and coaches goals for game, I play some props, I cap it in 5 min, and I just watch a bit and see as these teams basically are now just rounding themselves into shape. Basically treat September the way most ppl incorrectly treat the preseason! This is the real preseason for all the starters!

I mean let’s just throw out the fact the pats offensive game plan was retarded, this was the 1st week jets offense looked anything like that. That’s cause they have now had 2 preseason games week 1 and 2 so last night we saw jets ofensw who is finally starting to understand playing with each other since they didn’t do it all camp or preseason?!

I agree as well

Gonna be one of those games in Pittsburgh, phantom hold called on 3rd down stops Chargers drive.

I don’t normally do this shit but I did 2 team parlay where I bought a point or 2 on each, Vikings +4/chargers +4.5,, just made a ton of sense, woulda liked to just play under in Pitt but less than 37 just so tough as I feel like 20-17 always high side of game like that

Think at some point tank dell might hit a home run today. So far Vikings aggressiveness winning out but think at some point stroud will get them for a big one

Lafluer is doing an amazing job with Willis, can he keep it up? Feel like it might be a good time to live bet under that game, his teams aways do great on the scripted plays

What a shock, Texans settle for another 50+ fg. The shock is dude actually missed! He been nailing 3-4 50 yarders a week

If you mean offensive the way you should....that holds some weight

I'm still watching soccer and bout ready to throw my laptop at the tv

lol. I knew it could come out either way but no actually the offenses been good! Seems like Levis isn’t too awful between 20s, it the red zone where his lack of awareness really shows up, he almost blew their scoring drive w another bonehead play but lucked out
