NY - 3 - Vikings, Eagles (1st rd bye), Atl or Sea
GW - 2 - NE (1st rd bye), Saints
VK - 1 - Jags
playoff potential - currently ravens and titans
VK - 2 - ravens, chargers
GW - 1 - titans
NY - 1 - bills
MO - 0
regular season points remaining - everyone has the possibility of earning a max of 12 points during week 17 (8 points for going 8-0 and an additional 4 points since all games are against divisional opponents)
put another way ... at the most, VK can only be 19 points off the lead heading into the playoffs ... :shake:
most potential points remaining -
MO - has the most potential points still available and has to be considered the favorite heading into week 17 ... MO has 2 teams on both AFC & NFC sides of the bracket ... and as the standings are today, none of them would face each other until the divisional round ... in the NFC MO has the potential to not have teams playing against each other until the conference round, meaning MO would also have a team in the superbowl ... MO MO MO
GW - would be the next favorite ... as of today, he'd have 2 teams on AFC side with pats having a bye, one negative would be Titans are currently the 6 seed, so if they win wildcard round his two teams on the AFC side would face off with only 1 team left after divisional round ... he was the saints on the NFC side of the bracket, best case he would knock out one of MO's teams in the wildcard round and then one of NY teams in the divisional round, then continue to superbowl ... patriots vs saints? could happen
NY - squeezed to NFC side of bracket, at best would lose one team in divisional round and one team in conference play with one team going to superbowl ... worse case, lose one team wildcard weekend, lose 2 teams in the divisional round ... only chance will be a good week 17 and the best case in the playoffs (long shot potential for buffalo making the playoffs would increase earning potential, but c'mon man)
VK - best case, you go 8-0 this week, ravens and the jags avoid each other until the conference round and your last remaining team wins the superbowl ... :shake:
