NFC Second Round Discussion Thread

Seattle should win but it’s a bad draw for them the following week as it should be an absolutely bloody game even if they fall behind a bunch the dogs will get their licks on their little brother in the division. The Kittle news will have full out effort from everyone combined with the likely return of Fred the following week if they could steal a win.

To me it makes the Rams just even more likely to beat Seattle really really good if we get that rematch as LAR will likely be exchanging tuddies in a game with little defense in Chicago.
 
Interesting note on Jawuan Jennings and his throw yesterday. Coming out of high school in Tennessee he was a higher-ranked high school QB recruit than Burrow, Lamar Jackson and Darnold. (converted to WR freshman year at Tenny so maybe those rankings were a bit sideways). Nonetheless, explains how was able to make a pretty nice throw on the run yesterday (and also getting absolutely decked after the pass).

I can't get over how Seattle suffocated the Niners in SF earlier this month. I know Williafms and Piersall sat for that game (Kittle did not). SF came into the game having scored 37, 48 and 42 points in its three prior but Seattle just cut its head of from the get-go. 170 total yards for SF.

Seattle scored a whopping 13 against a decimated D. The game is a toss up decided by turnovers.

Another short week, too. Last time was a SNF thriller into a Saturday game. Sort of same thing here with more travel involved.

Seattle missed FGs and didn't score from a 1st and goal situation in that one, too.

If Ricky practices - he'll be effective and the offense opens up. Stated earlier that the 9ers are 8-1 when he plays. I don't think he will though.

Fair point on the offensive side but I don't see it as a tossup. Beautiful part is that the conjecture on either side has a short lifespan and we get to see the result fairly soon.

Will be fun.
 
Any reason not to do the same thing w bears? Rams 1st half and bears live? Assuming weather is decent, if weather is nasty I’d prob just take the points with bears pre-game.

9ers got screwed by getting a Sunday afternoon game in Philly, their flight didn’t get back to the Bay Area until 1am local time which is 4am Philly time. They get the Saturday game? Rams played the early Saturday game and get the Sunday night game? I’ll take it but how the NFL didn’t flip their games is a head scratcher.

This happens every year to someone. Last year it was Commanders and they blew out Lions.

The Eagles have been garbage for awhile , last time we seen the 49ers play Seattle how many points did they score ?

Yea it all kinds of fucked up the teams who played Saturday are now Sunday while Niners and bills have to go Sunday to Saturday. But this the nfl, they way more concerned with making their tv shows and money than any type of fairness to the sport.

It won't be long until this greedy sports entertainment league has games 6 days a week ...I used to joke that one day West coast teams would be in the ACC never expecting it to happen , but all that matters is money anymore ...Wouldn't be surprised to see a Europe division soon too .

We did kinda see the exact same game between bears and packers 3x, lol. In general I agree with you but I do think we have pretty good evidence niners offense will struggle vs Seattle d. That don’t exactly mean I like Seattle tho.

Oh I been saying this for awhile, we be at 18 games soon also. I have no doubt there be a team in Europe sooner than later. Mfers have been going out their way to ruin fb for a long time, and somehow ppl so stupid they think it better since everything is designed for points and to make the games close.

Fantasy football ruined the game a long time ago and not like I wasn't guilty in playing along for years. It's a sport that caters to gambling and statistics now and I miss the pre-fantasy enjoyment of it all. Not like that's going anywhere but I really don't give a shit about who's backing up who for what team anymore, it's nothing but a name salad.

Yea, 100%. I stopped w fantasy long time ago but I was certainly guilty at one point, I made a killing with local leagues full of dipshits, lol. I guess me and nfl have more in common than I’d like to admit, sports always been more bout money to me than anything else, I doubt I’d ever been interested without the gambling aspect 🤣

Bingo , the amount of holding allowed on certain drives is comedic at this point ..When holding doesn't work, insert a cavalcade of flags to move the offense down the field .
Close games and lots of points have led to these massive tv/streaming contracts .

Same brother , same ... I wanted to quit fantasy football years ago but kept winning or placing in leagues full of people who would simply draft their favorite players from their favorite teams in decent sized entry leagues .. Now my teenagers are in our leagues, so I'm stuck in them for the seeable future lol ...

Friends who have broke away from gambling and or fantasy often say they only watch Bills or insert teams games ...My father and his gym teacher buddies who mostly coached football think the games started being heavily manipulated around 2001. For the last 25 years they've send game play videos back and forth that they believe cements their beliefs ...

First thing i noted when looking at lines...gb opened and closed as 1.5 pt favs @ bears. The rans opened as 4.5 favs @bears. Juat seems odd to me, but in the spirit of even money both sides, i suppose i understand.

Not saying i disagree.

The Seahawks have scored 26 combined points vs. the 49ers this season.Sam Darnold hasn't thrown a touchdown in either of those two games.

Matchup dictates dump off passing this week too. Probably SF's real chance to get him into space.

No way I'm betting on anyone to score on the rested Seattle defense. It might happen for CMC but it also more likely be a pick 6 off Sam imo

No chance I’d play his over 51.5 rec vs Seattle. Juszczk is kinda interesting at 14.5 but I think tonges ov 35.5 the guy I want in niners passing game. He might not be kittle but he has shown really well when kittle been out, think we getting a huge discount here compared to what kittle be priced at and while he not him niners have shown he be as involved in the passing gm. Seattle has given up some pretty big totals to te’s also, not against kittle but think it be natural for them to have less focus on tonges than they dedicated to kittle.
