NCAAF In-Game Thread

Tennessee and Texas were the biggest gifts of this young season. Feel so dumb spreading out risk after the fact.

They beat the #19 Big 12 Upper Echelon Jayhawks! No small feat. The fact Kansas choked it away is irrelevant to its significance.

This commentator is an idiot. Down eight with seven minutes left, why would you go for it? It's a chip shot field goal lol

True. ya gotta put points up in case Bama comes back and settles for a fg. At least you still have a chance.

Good for South Florida that its coach isn't a complete moron like this ESPN commentator
I think they absolutely should have gone for it. Kicking the FG, they still needed a stop and a TD. And what ended up happening was a pretty realistic outcome once they gave the ball back to Alabama. Unless he believed that we were going to continue to shoot ourselves in the foot with penalties and fumbles. Which I guess wasn't that crazy a thought at that point

That big of a dog, you go for it.

Having a cigarette 2-4 times a week really does no short or long term damage on one’s health.

I’m enjoying my 2nd. I could also go another two months without smoking but I enjoy it to be frank.

Nebraska D looked good held Colorado under 250 total yards. The second half nebraska didn't do much of anything but I think they just played it close to the vest.
I love the Tenn QB
Went 2-2 today thanks to Bama not showing up until the fourth quarter. Thats what I get for laying 30 points

all right Im done for the day. Going to dinner in 15 mins. Good luck if anyone has money riding on these late games

I feel like your logic is self-undermining. If they had not converted, then they would need a stop in the strongest sense of the word. By kicking the field goal, they gave themselves a cushion of being able to concede a field goal. If they had not given up any points then another touchdown positions them to win.

Let's be real

Underdogs are underdogs and should play that way. It isn't like there are two equal teams regardless of the clock. You play, and call, like an underdog.

If you're trying to play like you're equal in a given situation you'll lose 10/10 times. Not sure how that's even in question.

Underdog is a cool term for the media and sportsbooks, but I don’t think it‘s a real thing that exists on the football field, I don’t think it has a place beyond abstract landscapes in any kind of practical reality. If you‘re playing stupidly, you give yourself less of a chance to win. That’s why I think you have to see yourself as equal to your opponent. I don’t know how you can seriously believe that you‘ll win by seeing yourself as a weaker team. And if you don’t seriously believe you can win, why even try?
