First thing I usually do in the morning when there's West Coast games is go on Covers, because if something major happened, there's usually a "FIX!" or "Did you just see that?" kind of thread. Sure enough, there was a "Wow! Who's watching the Clippers game?", so I had the feeling they must have come back. Like I said before, that Blazers team makes literally no sense to me (although Pat Connaughton from Notre Dame really impressed me the other night), and pretty sure I'm not even going to bother trying once the season starts.

Well, sorry guys. I guess after going 17-3 on my last 20 picks (yeah, I can't quite believe that either), I was long overdue for a stinker and, boy, oh, boy, what a stinker: turnover after turnover, missed free throws, no 3 pointers, and Isiah Thomas killing any chance at the over all on his own. Not exactly the way I wanted to end the preseason. Maybe we'll get lucky with triple overtime. Back after the game with a post-mortem...

Bittersweet end to the preseason. Still, went a lot better than I could have ever imagined possible, so hopefully that bodes well for the regular season.

Special thanks to nbafan88, tuck321, Paulie The Vig and the handful of others who stopped in over the past few weeks with thoughts, information and well wishes. Hopefully we managed to make some money together, learn a bit about the players and teams and, yes, maybe even learn a bit about ourselves in the process as well : )
