NBA Opening Week Discussion

The mavs major problem is dealing with bigs... they suck vs good bigs

houston doesnt really pose that problem.... and I can't see the mavs having much trouble offensively

D'antoni is probably the last coach i want to have on the team I am backing because you know for the most part the opponent will never be out of the game.... i am always fascinated how he continues to get job opportunities in this league. It is a system that will 99% fail to be successful.

Ryan Ruocco is just so horrible to listen to. His commentary is just so boring and flat. I'm sorry if anyone likes the guy, but he seems to force every bit of emotion.

Finally getting a chance to watch Golden State tonight, I swear unless they bomb their 3's, they'll have a hard time putting anyone away in the 4th. And by "putting away", I mean just smash them. It seems like once they get a DD lead it turns into "okay, we have a lead, we can start launching". And of course from a simple standpoint of winning/losing the game, they can afford to because they still keep teams away at an arm's length. But for people like us wagering on spreads, it's going to be frustrating at times.

Slow start for me so far

im liking the nuggets and pacers tonight at first glance. I probably shouldn't go against the bulls while wade has fresh legs. He's playing with a lot of energy and emotion and that should continue tonight but the bulls are not a deep team and are still gelling. The pacers lost to the nets yesterday but it wasn't a shock given they were most likely looking ahead to tonight and the nets just out hustled them.

Denver is one of the deepest teams in the league imo and the nuggets should be pumped for their home opener. Just a flat out better overall team than Portland imo

Just leans for now.

If you want early action, the first quarter under in philly is a good play simply because the start time. Very unusual this early in the season.

Grizz +2.5 -105

Scary the grizz were really bad in Saturday away games LY but rolling with them anyway

Wow anyone else watching Denver on this 17-0 run? And it's like...Portland struggling just to get shot attempts kind, turnovers and sloppiness galore it seems

Curious for people's thoughts on this.. These first few games, what is up with some of the crazy FT differences in games? Denver with 33, Portland with 11...with 3 mins left in the 3rd.

one team has bigs that can play and is much more aggressive... the other is playing in altitude which can lead to mental lapses etc

That 30 minute power outage pretty much derailed the over in Denver. Only shot now is for the Blazers to knock down some 3's and get a parade to the FT line going...

:hang:

i hate when teams play "not to lose" clock killing ball

absolutely pisses me off.... there is an eternity left

SEATTLE/SAINTS GAME SET-UP SO bad
All penalties on 10 Seattle and ONLY 1 false start on NAW (end of 3rd quarter)
FG couldn't handle a snap (wear a fucking glove on your non holding hand)
fucking FG's all day
failed 2 point covet
Holding penalty on Seattle that would of been three and out turns out to be a holding call, when shown on reply there was no hold or even contact(even said by the crew on tv said awful call) this turns out to a to a huge play to the 1 yard line
Illegal pass interference on offense TD by Saints (illegal screen not called led to TD)

AND OMG as I type this it was about to be 3 and out and they call a holding on SEATTLE ..

HOLY FUCKING SHITTTT
