NY Rangers +110 47.69% Antti Raanta

I could be in net for the Rangers tonight and they'd be -150. Buffalo coming off b2b, Rangers one of the best teams in the league. I think this line may be a touch off here.

I put numbers in my math model and it shows me first raw lines, without any emotional thinking - like this is easy bet, or if "I would be in the net."... . And even the game was much more closer. Buffalo came back after 0-3 and they almost tied, they made 36 shots (vs NYR 26). They did it pretty well, especially because it was B2B game. B2B game is important, especially late in the season. But I think it is naive to think, that NYR is easy bet.

NYR is just 15-18 on the road with shots diff -3.3 and Buffalo is playing tough hockey at home and Lehner is on SV% 93.1. Rangers were without Lundqvist and I think easy play on NYR was wrong.

Of course, there are all kind of other factors, which my math model does't contain, but I think the best bet was to stay away from that game yesterday.

Thanks for comment :cheers3: appreciate it.

I understand that you are using a math model, I just think you are overlooking a few things.
Like you say that the Rangers are just 15-18 on the road. Well, they were really 15-15-3 which is pretty good.
Conversely Buffalo was just 12-17-5 at home, which honestly isn't very good.
Also, the Rangers had won their last 12 games after a loss coming into last night's game (now 13 in a row).
I just saw you had the Rangers lined as dogs there and thought that was verrrrrrrrrry far off. Good luck going forward, will read your thoughts in the future.

I also like two plays today:

Buffalo +144 (Pinnacle)
Montreal Canadiens had a good first half of the season. In fact they were good with Price and then couple of first games with Condon. After that, they are struggling and if we take the stats after new year (2016 only), they are #29 team in the league by wins and points. Buffalo is in the same time #20 by wins and #19 by points. I like somehow Buffalo, they are still below average team, but there is something I like. They have good goalie - Lehner has outstanding year with 0.927 SV% and they are playing good defence (on the road even better). My line is around +112 on Buffalo, so if I have to play something without any additional information, i would take Buffalo anyway. But why I like Buffalo even more here is that they will face Montreal team, who is influenced by injuries. Desharnais, Gallagher, Price, Eller,
Beaulieu, Petry, Gilbert, Carr, Flynn. Those are all injured players for Montreal and I think they know, that their season is over. With Buffalo +144 i think we have a nice value here. Right now with all those injuries in Montreal, they are simply better team.
Minnesota (-1.5) +166 (Pinnacle)
Wild need points, they are 2 points behind Colorado, who holds last wild card spot, but Wild also have 2 games less. In those two games they have to make some points and today is the last game at home, before they will go on the road. They are much better at home and I believe they will be highly motivated against the last team in NHL and they know, this is the game, where they must win points. Minnesota beat Edmonton on the road by 5-2 (18.2.2016) and I think they are playing better right now. In last 5 games, they are 4-1 with 3.2 goals per game and only 2.2 against.

Good luck to all!

Agree with Buffalo. Taking a hard look at them. Despite their season being over, they have not thrown in the towel. I believe anything over +140 offers value.

I am looking at a CHI/ANH 2TP

Nice username :-)

According to my numbers, Los Angeles Kings are the best play today (Kelly). Yesterday it was Pittsburgh.
From math side, i would not take CHI.

From "intuitive" side, Chicago play Kings well I think, especially at home. But Blackhawks didn't impress me (3 wins in last 8 games) and the Kings are good.
NJD won in SJ and in LAK, so this is their 3rd game in the west and maybe they sweep all three teams (SJ, ANA, LAK). Take into consideration, that Anaheim lost 3 straight now. Momentum is definitely on NJD side

I would say it is risky parlay, but hey, take what you think is the best and I hope you win.

Good Luck! :cheers3:

Good call on the Kings last night I was hoping for a look ahead to tonight's game for the Kings and thought Chicago would look to make a strong effort at home. I will be watching the SJ game being a Bruins fan I will have to root against you any worry that line seems low ?

I will not have time to post more picks later. I will not have time correct the lines because of goalie changes... I will give just some comments:

Dallas @ Chicago
I like Chicago here, no matter what my numbers shows. Seguin is out and Chicago will be motivated. Despite my numbers are leaning Dallas, i would stay away.

LAK @ Minnesota
B2B game for LAK and I like Minnesota here. If you get them for +110 or more, then Wild are legitimate play (no matter if Quick or Enroth are in the net)

Washington @ OTT
I would play Ottawa for +135 or more

Good Luck!

No play today.

There is still no line for Ottawa game and I don't see any value playing Boston or Rangers. My intuitive plays would be NY Islanders and NY Rangers.

Good Luck whatever you take....I will spend extra time today for researching upcoming MLB. I will post my projected lines here on MLB forum.

Comment: I am going against my numbers here, because I like Rangers here. They are playing better and better last couple of games and they are more rested for this game. Pittsburgh will play 3rd game in 4 nights, while Rangers beat Montreal yesterday, but before that game, they had 2 days off.
Pittsburg won yesterday, but Kunitz was injured and is questionable for todays game. With Malkin already out, Rangers must take an advantage. I don't like to go against my numbers, but I will go with my intuition here in this one.

Is that Nashville +135 a typo? I don't see where it was ever close to that.

I am from Europe and I grab some early odds. I don't sell my picks, it is more information what I play today.
But yes, I agree and I should stick with odds, so people can follow me.

For example, today's odds are already on for some games
Philadelphia +120
Wash -143

(Nordicbet, some local bookies, betting exchange,...)

I agree and from now on I will use only PINNACLESPORTS odds.

Florida allowed a goal 5 seconds before the games ends. They got 2 minute penalty because of game delay, because fans threw rats on the ice.....and I lost bet :mean4: It was 3-2 at the end, instead of 3-1.
