By the way, amateur status is a very strange thing. Don't know how it currently works but I do know someone who tried pro and couldn't cut it, he had to wait two years to the date of his last pro event to get amateur status back. That meant he couldn't compete in local am events at all during that time...this was early 2000s so it might have changed but if you declare pro it's a commitment.
 
Hell yeah. So happy for Sergio, just fucking awesome! From waggling his club until people wanted to strangle him to finally winning one. Such a great dude with a great attitude, great for him!
