Great to see the MLB season here for real. This has always been my passion as far as gambling went. I have been betting baseball since 1993, and I've had some excellent years. Unfortunately, the last 2 years have been dismal, and I've posted losing seasons in 3 of the last 4. :/ I wonder if the game has passed me by, as it's so damn hard to find an edge. My gambling nowadays is probably at least 50% entertainment if not more and I don't bet nearly as much per game as in the past, so I end up with way more action than needed. I'm entering this season with major changes in how I make my selections, although it will take at least a few weeks to fully implement my new strategy. I will be leaning on past strategies in the beginning. My plays are always listed with units, where 4 units posted equals 1 unit real play for me for easier posting with fewer decimals. My average unit varies and is constantly adjusted depending on streak, but generally sits somewhere in the 50-120 range. That said, good luck to all, and I hope you get paid!

I feel ya on the fish under, I like alcontera to be good, senga I just have no clue if he will locate or not? He could walk 6 guys and still go 5 scoreless, could turn into disaster, or he could be great? He so tough for me to figure out and he hasn’t pitched in a game for half month it feels like, I just have no idea what we get from him, I remember cashing his k prop in his 1st game vs fish last year but this a little different.

I was meaning to ask you this yesterday, has it really gotten so bad for the cardinals we couldn’t find a live hot girl we had to use a damn cartoon?????? That is a lot of chalk, you find what day the week matters overall w fav/dog? I dunno if it make you feel and better and I didn’t finish but 1st few games on card but I actually liked the fav side as well. I didn’t certain things to get the juice to plus money, like I played tigers combined w Flaherty 7+ k’s, played the Red Sox combined with Fedde allowing 5 and 6+ hits along with a few hitters. Long story short the Games i have capped I found it very hard to find reasons to be on the doggy’s! Hoping I find some for later today!!!


Far as cards go it not just having a bad few seasons, pretty much every team whether they spend like crazy or still holding on to their 1st dollar go thru the occasional lull. The problem is this a franchise issue from the top down and one I was screaming bout 5 years ago when they were still making the playoffs the writing was on the wall but instead of fixing it they kept putting duct tape around the leaks until everything just exploded at one time!!!! They have gotten taken in at least the last 7-8 trades they have made, we have all star players all around tge league they just playing for other teams, they kept kicking the can down the road just in a effort to make the playoffs and do nothing. Now that they at pretty much rock bottom they have decided it time for a complete overhaul which apparently means slash payroll, alienate all the fans, and pocket the welfare check instead of spend it like other poor teams! Nothing pisses me off more than these owners and their teams of accountants and lawyers trying to talk in circles explaining how they somehow broke! Let’s pretend these liars are Even operating on a net yearly loss cause of crappy tv deals and alienating fans from wanting to come fo the park!! Free tickets not even worth taking, after 25-40 to park, few $12 beers, maybe a hot dig and you still out over 100 bucks to watch a garbage product that apparently our fault for not spending enough?!?!!! The worst part and same thing I said 2-3 years ago, there is no light at the end the tunnel! The slashing payroll lije they the fucjing A’s or rays bye they don’t have the scouting or inferstructure to find value at any position. The jerkoff who ran this thing into the ground staying on 1 more year to groom his protege? What the possible fuck could he be learning other than more bad habits?!!!???? Then they bitch about fan support which takes a lot of balls considering! Seeing the 1st 1 series the year at Busch with a empty stadium one the most depressing things I’ve seen in my 46+ years on this earth!!! We have had a handful of lean years And still Drew 3 million like it was nothing, they won’t be sniffing that number this year, they have no eye for young talented pitchers, they can’t even bring along their young guys they end up getting a surplus in the outfield abc trade all the wrong ppl for bags of used baseballs!!! I'm a bit older than you, born 1960 and always been in Jax so when I became a fan in late 60s there were no FL teams and we always hated GA because FLA/GA rivalry in football. So I somehow gravitated to O's & Cards as my favorite teams in my early life. I did listen to Braves on the radio because that was only daily game we had. We only got one TV game per week with Curt Gowdy lol. I'm sure you've forgot more about the Cards than I ever knew but I do remember Gibson and Lou Brock vaguely...I was really a fan in 90s-10s when they won 4 champs and always seemed to be in the mix near the top. Huge stars like Ozzie, Coleman, Tudor, Edmonds, McGwire, McGhee, Pujols just to name a few. Way back they had a reliever known as "The Mad Hungarian" and he had a unique routine that was special for that time (70s or 80s). Also I always liked Herzog, the manager for many years. It is disappointing to see such a great franchise relegated to what they've become. They likely do need a rebuild from the ground up.

Friday has always shown weird stuff happening over many years of gambling, esp MLB...at least for me. Last night worked out ok for me with 7 of my losses on unders (4-7). I've been stuck on unders for sometime now and have only play 1-2 overs this season. I did find a few dogs today so hopefully I can continue building toward profitability. My new model is almost complete and has definitely shown some promise.

Mad Hungarian was before my time other than hearing him do Games, he was pretty entertaining, I assume he still around? I stopped watching cards on tv a few years ago as they made it difficult and the product not worth my business!!

I grew up on the Ozzie, Tudor, Coleman years, I still have powder blue Ozzie and Vince jerseys. Not sure where tfw Ozzie is, around somewhere, lol, but I still rock the Coleman from time to time. It gets more comments anyways cause everyone got a Ozzie. Not many Coleman power blue around!

What this ownership group and front office has did to the team is a tradegy. The worst part I stated telling ppl this was coming 5 years ago! I couldn’t believe how sad it was having Busch look like old A’s place or Tampa without the roof. Maybe 10-15k fans! Never saw it that empty to start season no less! I have no clue last years numbers but if they claimed 3 mil like always they lisd! No way they sniff that this year. Then the ownership group say how they losing money as they conveniently forget to factor in the team’s always increasing worth no matter what, they rather keep thx gates, all the tv money which they had to a haircut cause I don’t even know where j would watch if I wanted to!! I was always fine wit a well run team that spent around 10th to 15th. This year they cut all the duct tape off trying to keep them around .500, their choice but the alienated the fans, just took longer than the crazy ppl then myself who hasn’t went to game in years.

It’s just odd for them, before they decided to destroy the franchise they were more often built w pitching and defense than by scoring a lot of runs. The sad thing is id prob take A’s pitching staff for the long run.

That was against Seattle in Seattle where they rarely hit anything that Stros pen imploded, can’t be a good sign. More often than not if I see a team has 4 or more in Seattle I expect them to win!
