LVSC Openers for Week 4 are Out

So much for getting a good line on UGA. LSU and the under are on my watch list. Also hoping to see a betable line on Iowa.

I jumped the gun when I posted this. They went from having nothing to posting the rotation.

No lines yet.

I'm with you, I also have my eye on Iowa Under 45ish. I think colt will be the majority of pitt's offense this week as Stull has no arm strength and Pitt has to give him baby routes to throw passes on.

Iowa +3 might be a good bet

Goin to the game and have the feeling ill be depressed all night :(

Hope a few of these stand up. Some of the opening lines last week changed by as much as a TD before the lines came out online.

UL +2.5 (play)

Ohio +9.5 (lean)
GT -7 (lean)

Yeah RJ, Mich St looks very good to me too. I think the Ole Miss line will open lower and drop even further, would love to get us at -3.....

My opening shopping list based upon the LVSC numbers are:

KSU
Colorado +
Penn St
LSU
BYU
Wake +
Michigan St
Utah
Texas
Fresno St

MW--Why do you like L-ville getting less than a FG?

Wow.....I really really like this card that usually means the bookies make out really well.

-Iowa State +3.5 (hook)
-San Jose St (i'll wait for the line to move, it'll move up) I'd like to get around +10 at least 10.5 would be ideal
-Tennessee (i like it) would like 10 but 2 points is a shit load maybe dr. you know who will help me out.
-Ohio State -20 I'll take that all day......
-ND +7.5 I'll buy the hook, I don't this MSU will have the success running like they did against FAU. This isn't a FAU, but concerned with the hangover effect from the Michigan game as they clearly put a lot into that game emotionally.
-Wanted ASU around 10, we'll see what happens though. Looked like ASU looked over UNLV and tried to just do basic stuff to beat UNLV assuming that there athletes would surpass UNLV's athlete's and that just didn't happen as we saw.
-PSU -27, I'll take a bite as well.
-Auburn -1.5, I'll take a bite. Auburn matches up really well with LSU. Also, the new DC fits really well with the system in place and chemistry between him and the DL & LB has gone better than expected. LSU is good but I don't know if they come into Auburn with a win.

This is my first exposure to bookmaker, when do they come out with there lines for CFB? Any help would be greatly appreciated.....

Also, these LVSC opening lines are they the opening lines in vegas and if so who ususally opens first? (In terms of casinos)

Thanks in advance.

Bookmaker comes out anywhere from 6 to 6:45 EST. They were a little late last week, probably due to it being the first week of NFL.

OK, I agree, tOSU -20 looks short.

But....what does tOSU do this week.

Option 1....They beat the shit out of Troy to show that they don't deserve being 13 or 14.

Option 2...They do just enough to win and hold a 3-4 TD advantage and then rest their starters.

Option 3...They do alot more experimenting, particularly with Pryor at QB. Boekman is kind of a joke at QB.

Ok, let me get this off my chest first, I am a big tOSU fan. Also, I did have USC -10 so I can't be too upset, lol.

I think there WR's will get fed up with the talking down on them all week as being some of the worst WR's in the big 10 and they can't get any seperation and so on and so forth. I think they respond in a big way.

I think Beanie plays this week a little bit, so that never hurts.

Also, I've heard whispers that Pyror may get the starting nod, I'm banking that it may be this week.

It is never easy to go into Columbus and play.

I don't think they'll rest starters with a 3-4 TD edge because Tressel knows that he just got throttled at USC and it's going to take a lot of running it up to get back into the talk for national championship eligibility. I think that tressel beats up on lesser teams from here on out due to what happened in Pasadena. I know he's never been one of those guys but he has to know with such a senior team this may be his only shot.

OK, also why would anyone take L-ville?

And is ND good enough to cover a TD on the road at MSU?

ND was able to run on that Michigan front.

They might be for real. All those 5 star OL might becoming good.

True. It's a bit early to see which team is for real. But ND beat up on a sloppy Michigan team with 4 turnovers that led to scores.

Looking at

Colorado, A&M, LSU, Kansas State, Tenny, ASU, Utah, GT, Kent

LSU/Aub U, Iowa/Pitt U, Tenny/UF U, Boise/Oregon U

Auburn 1.5 over LSU? That one really surprises me. I watched some of the Aub/MSU game and came away really feeling like Auburn's change to the spread offense wasn't working too well. I didn't like their playcalling, especially some of those pitch plays and their QB play and passing game was not very good at all imo.

I can't bet on the fake soldiers. They have not been good at all in their first 2 games. I'd have to see them one more time to get a feel.

I know the Aggies have this game circled.

someone just asked me in PM and i dont know the answer .... who is it that gets a shot at these numbers before the general public gets to bet them ?

I'm not sure that anyone gets a shot at betting these numbers.

LVSC publishes these as a service to their subscribers but do not actually book any bets themselves. You'll note that the opening line released by the books is always different but seem to be very close to each other.

I have a feeling that the true openers are just as influenced by BetCris as they are by LVSC.

I would agree with you at first glance, however it seems like Auburn has kept a lot of their tricks in the barn if you will. They have done very little misdirections or wacky spread formations that the OC is known for. I expect this weekend to be a whole new Auburn team, I kind of expect the night and day difference we saw in the ND game against San Diego St. versus the performance ND put in against Michigan.

They were ahead 3-0 ... why would they leave plays in the bag in that spot ?
