***Los Angeles Rams at New Orleans Saints Discussion***

My confirmation bias searches and sees 60% at the book named Sportsbook on Saints and it makes me want to go heavier on Rams.

I hear ya Johnny.....sometimes you just gotta say it out loud tho...

Is Jared Goff going to beat Drew Brees in the Dome with the chance to go to the Super Bowl on the line?

I am nervous as a motherfucker, but man......could it REALLY happen?

Down 14-0 last week, I think that was the bear trap that they avoided...

Who Dat? BABY

Lets fuckin GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Twinkie you and your boys are the most genuine. I think McVay agrees, cant put it on the able shoulders of Goff, their running game and OL are where they are getting more nuanced and in sync. Then y'all lose your NT.

Conversely, your OL is looking a bit rattled. I love Brees but I'm not feeling it.

GL it sure is exciting to think about.

Rams are 0-7 with the ump
Officiating scouting report: Chances of a low-penalty game are good. Referee Bill Vinovich's regular-season crew threw the fewest flags per game(13.1) this season, and he called 11 in the Colts-Texans wild-card game. Both the Saints (No. 5) and the Rams (No. 7) were among the NFL's least-penalized teams. Vinovich was the referee for the teams' Week 9 matchup, and there were seven flags in that game. One twist to be aware of: The Rams are 0-8 in games Vinovich has handled since the start of the 2012 season.

People a bit too itchy to take the team with the worse quarterback and the worse defense only getting 3 points on the road here.

I'm on Saints but I asked myself similar question on SB last year. Is Nick Foles really going to beat the GOAT. I lost $

Anyways, Geaux Saints!

Sort of agree. Saints offense has been out of sync for months now. Months.

Getting shut down and kicking 3's inside the 20 on our first drives didn't help--------but we were robbed.
Million % robbed in every way......the only thing i didnt like was some of the play calling and they didnt take any shots down field as game wore on Rams DL was makin noise

Look, I was there. When Arnold dropped the TD pass early on to settle for 3, my Dad was lit. Never seen him like that. “That’s gonna cost us the game.” Sure as shit. The officials seemed awful all around.
A few things about the game:
Saints offensive gameplan was downright AWFUL. Won’t go into it more unless someone wants to, but it was just terrible.
Throwing the fucking ball on 1st down when it went to Thomas low?!!! What in the entire FUCK.

How the fucking Rams WRs got open in the middle of the field was astonishing. If I saw ONE more fucking fake hand off and Goff roll right/left, I was gonna jump outta section 534 in the Terrace

The 3rd down play calling in scoring position in the 1st quarter was reprehensible. Said it on here, holding under tickets, I couldn't have asked for much more incompetency with those play calls. Coulda put the game away before it began.

Now, onto the bullshit. I get it. It’s life. Many other oops to win the game. Yada yada. Life sucks, I get it.

But come the fuck on. It was essentially a fucking crack back block.....it could’ve been like 3-4 penalties.
Worst part is, I saw that ref go to his pocket as ease off.....FACTS. So let’s say that guy is a moron( he is btw), I just KNEW that the field judge or SOMEONE would step in and say, “HEY ASSHOLES!!!! EASY CALL!!”

What a joke

As a gambler I’m pissed. Can’t imagine how the team and fans feel. Sorry man.

I hate how the league can just call and apologize. It does nothing for the Saints. They're still going home while the Rams are advancing. I know you can't just say to the Rams you can't go but that ref (or refs) should never ref a game again. There has to be some kind of consequence for them.

Totally agree. I’d lose my job if I made half the the mistakes these refs make.

How does a book choose to lose both sides of one of the largest bet NFL games?

Sounds odd. I know books try to do clever PR but I need details. I know all about fake news baby.

Whichever book it was that I read about refunded the wagers on all Saints spread and ML wagers in the form of free play

Found it. Total PR ploy. Like when UK books pay off no doubt political winners, just to reset the lines.

The company announced what it calls a "Good Karma Payout" due to an unlikely event that swayed the result of a game.
(Wtf does that sentence even mean?)

PointsBet did not say how much the refunds will cost the company.

Sports books are not your friend especially when they are playing you.

"Cmon dog, we in this together"

It looks like loser sportsbook, FOR losers.

You ever hear of confirmation bias? Not saying you‘re wrong, just askin

The only reason why the missed PI call upsets me is because refs called PI on practically EVERYTHING this season. At the top of my head, in week 16, saints beat the Steelers and packers beat the jets because of bailout PI calls where the DBs didn’t even touch the receiver

Not to mention end of 1h in last year‘s afc championship

Anybody buy anything into the lawsuit that was filed? Even a 1% chance this game goes back to those last 2 minutes and replays?

Publicity stunt.

The Rams can counter-sue and go back to the missed face mask.

Two can play this game.

------------------------------------------------------------

Lets go back and replay the 2014 games in Dallas and Green Bay. The Lions should sue due to negligent officiating and the next week was the Dez catch.

That is just using one example. Everything is cause and effect... calls get missed but who knows what happens next. Maybe the Saints fumble the snap... maybe they get a holding call then throw a pick?

---------------------------------------------------------------

I haven't commented in the threads yet... but you know why NOLA lost? They could have blown this game out early but settled for FG's, dropped a TD etc. They left the door open, and that is that.
