Lefties only

BringInTheLefty

Pretty much a regular
Morning just found this forum, it looks very informative. I only play games that involve a left handed starter.
Throughout the next few days I'll be posting team stats against left handed pitching. I realize this limits my plays, but I have been a selective player through the years.
An occasional parlay.

I'm a mid range player about $150-$300 per game. An occasional parlay.

Welcome to CTG :shake2:

welcome. that is a very interesting way to cap, only with a lefty. may i ask, what trends or what things you look for that apply to the lefty? do you just bet against teams that suck vs lefties or on teams that hit them hard?

Welcome.

I'm guessing you've made some money betting against the Tribe over the years.

I prefer to bet on teams that can't hit lefties. If I feel a team hits a certain lefty then I'll bet the over total.

i would look at runs per game before id look at BA. Teams could hit for a poor average but have plenty of walks and home runs off lefties.

Interesting angle. May as well just cap the line up for that day and check the batter v pitcher splits to have a more insightful view into the match up. BOL this season!

I always check the starting lineup stats against the starting pitching. My stats go back over 9 years.

I predict this guy's going to draw more arguments than tuck or divol.

I am a 2/3 unit per game player, one unit is $100

To start the season off I'll make a 2 unit play on over 6 -$120

I see both starters giving up a few early ones, no significant trends on either side.

We start the daily grind as you realize baseball season is 7 days a week no off weeks, stats get compiled hourly. No other sport like this, Gentleman start your engines.

Play: over 6 total $240/$200

The Lefty won but my bet lost, -$240.

Today we have Sale,Smyly,Price,Hamels,Keuchel,De La Rosa,Kershaw,Bumgarner
6 of them will be the favorite.

I am leaning towards Keuchel & Hamels will update by 11AM

Astros/Yankees got postponed.

I will be playing Texas Rangers -$125 for 2 units $250/$200
I'm also playing Cleveland Indians -$105 for 1 unit $105/$100

9 Lefties today

Two of my favorites also Niese & Kazmir

We also have Perez-Texas Price-Boston
Chen-Miami Lester-Cubs Heaney-Angels Keuchel-Astros Quintana-WSox

I have quite a game plan for today 5 parlays & two flat bets

Pirates-NIESE +$100 $300/$300
Dodgers-Kazmir -$125 $375/$300

Parlays:

Pirates/Dodgers $150 pays $390

Pirates/Indians $150 pays $435.71

Pirates/Cubs $150 pays $370

Dodgers/Indians $150 pays $377.14

Dodgers/Cubs $150 pays $336

Corbin has 5 starts against Colorado and won them all. 10/2/12; 4/28/13; 7/7/13; 7/4/15; 10/1/15

Your discipline is awesome. Do what works for you. That's the beauty of baseball. So many options. Good luck

Here are my decisions

Miami 1st 5 innings + $120 $200/$240

My reasons on over are quite simple Alex Wood had a awful spring, 0-3 7.13 ERA. He gave up 5-HRs in 17 2/3 innings. Wood has a 7.27 ERA in three games against the Giants making his only start in 2014

Dodgers/Giants over 7.5 -$115 $345/$300

I went 2/2 today

Miami won first 5 innings 5-3 + $240
Dodgers/Giants scored a combined 18 runs putting the 7.5 never in doubt + $300

+ $540 + $1,191 = + $1,731

I'm off to a fast start which makes handicapping easier. Friday's Lefties Danks-WSox, Liriano-Pirates, Garcia-Cards, Ray-D'Backs, Surkamp-A's

+ $1,731

I have just one play today, I'm actually going against the Lefty today. Here is my reasoning. Indians had no trouble against Danks, who went 0-3 with a 6.43 ERA in four starts against Cleveland last year. The left-hander would finish with a career-high 15 losses and a fourth straight season with an ERA above 4.70.

My play Cleveland - $130 $390/$300

I won my only play today Indians 7-1 picking up $300....
Tomorrow we have 10 Lefties on the bump... Chris Sale-WSox; Cole Hamels-Texas; Hill-A's; Pomeranz-Padres; De La Rosa-Rockies; Milone-Twins; Smyly-Tampa; Sabathia-Yanks

Match up of the day:

Kershaw vs Bumgarner

+ $2,031

So far a very nice first week

I have 3 plays today along with 2 parlays.

Play 1:
I am going against Smyly even though his stats are good against O's. Orioles + $128 $200/$256
Smyly struggled Monday against Toronto, giving up five runs, including four on three homers. He has held many of Baltimore's biggest bats in check, however, with Jones, Davis, Hardy, and Machado going a combined 7 for 52 against the left-hander.Smyly is 4-0 with a 1.82 ERA in eight games - five starts - versus the Orioles.

Play 2: Yet again I'm playing against the Lefty in this case CC. Tigers - $105 $420/$400
Sabathia's first test comes against a predominantly right-handed Detroit lineup. Miguel Cabrera went 2 for 4 with a home run and two RBIs on Friday, while Nick Castellanos had four of the Tigers' 13 hits.Cabrera has batted .297 against Sabathia with three home runs and 14 RBIs in 37 at-bats. Jose Iglesias (.462), J.D. Martinez (.333) and Jarrod Saltalamacchia (.333) all have had success against Sabathia.
Right-handed hitters batted .312 against him the last two seasons. Twenty five of his career high-tying 28 home runs allowed last season came from right-handed batters. The Tigers (3-0) tagged Miami left-hander Wei-Yin Chen for five runs in five innings in the season opener and have scored 19 runs on 38 hits through three games.
I felt before he checked into Rehab he was done, I don't see him lasting more than 4 innings.

Play 3: I am going with the Lefty Cole Hamels + $105 $600/$630
Cole started the season strong,
Hamels (1-0, 2.57 ERA) improved to 8-0 in his last 10 regular-season starts with a 3-2 victory against Seattle on Monday. He gave up a solo homer in each of the first two innings before allowing just two hits over the next five.

Parlay 1:
Texas/Detroit $200/$600.47

Parlay 2:
Texas/Orioles $200/$734.80
