Every year I say I'm going to do better and keep a better track of Derby preps and horses on here. I fail every year. So anyway here's the 1st futures you can bet at the tracks and simulcasting this weekend.

And yes it is dumb to bet these now considering no one is guaranteed to even run in the race 6 months from now but it's still fun.

Corniche is not included in the 1st wagers this weekend. But he's the 15-1 favorite at Ceasers.

Baffert is still banned by Churchill. It's going to be interesting to see how this plays out. No word yet on the future plans for Corniche.

All other 3yos end 3/5 for Pool 1.

Smile Happy with his dominant win in the KY Jockey Club Stakes at Churchill Downs , as well as a $10,000 bet from Mattress Mack, closes as the non-entry favorite at 8-1.

Smile Happys pedigree doesn't scream a mile and a quarter in May, but from his two races so far, it looks like he can run all day.
