Is there a chance he'd take us back?

id love odell beckham jr in round 2...hes a classic example of a guy who just has the name of a superstar. completely ridiculous theory i admit, but seriously, odell beckham jr, that sounds like a stud

I don't want anything to do with Alabama secondary guys....safety and cb is probably the number one need followed by wr and pass rusher probably going to bed a ilb soon as well...I would love Evans though...

Any shot chip goes after boyd or another qb at 22 to 'develop' behind foles?

I've seen Boyd projected as a 3rd or 4th rounder but with so few QBs available now after bridgewater, bortles and jff I'm sure someone will snap him up sooner.

Crazy bc I think there was a legit shot we took him at 4 if he came out last year (which would have caused galt to immediately hang himself)

yeah i actually liked boyd a lot last year, and i was wrong. still think theres ability there...maybe like josh johnson...nfl qb but probably a backup who can be competent if the starter goes down

the td's dont really matter, they took a combined 27 yards of passing

200 yards is not enough to win playoff games sorry, averaging 6 yards per attempt is not enough to win playoff games

easy 2nd round I think

really? beacuse if hte special teams and defense didnt sith the bed it would have been more than enough. Foles gets a solid B for last night.

I would say B- but even at a B that's my point

he's not a top 10 guy, the league is different now with it being so tied to passing

guys like Trent Dilfer/Brad Johnson won't win it again

Foles was a C at best last night. Didn't even look at the wide open receiver streaking down the sideline on the first drive because he was too busy checking down.

Id absolutely consider trading hm if someone wants to do something stupid

I am not saying they need to cut foles, he's a fine backup, but if they think they have the 'guy' and stop looking

its a waste of the other talent

you guys are fucking stupid. fine backup? jesus christ im starting to understand why ppl rip philly for hating on mcnabb

29 tds, 2 ints. exactly what Vick didnt do. You arent going to have a qb who throws for a shit ton of yards when you have shady as your main weapon. Quite often inflated qb numbers are a result of a shit run game

I'm not a huge foles fan think he is too slow...feet and hands personally...He is helped immensely by the system/o-line/mccoy but he deserves the shot for the full year next year to see what happens...so do you go qb now our wait until next year? If foles stinks the joint up you get a shot at one of the guys who went back, if he is good again then there is no need...

id agree with that. althoh the better team was way out of their element, and was very vulnerable. but what team is better right now? saints, yes

funny i thought he was a quarterback? seriously the last 3 years of qbs in the league have skewed everyones expectations of what the position does. i know the game has changed and its a qbs league, but

a. when you have shady, you don't need 350 yards from ur qb every week. in fact, if ur qb is getting that, its probably a bad thing. If Andy was still the coach, Foles would have thrown for 300 last night easily

b. i could not care less that foles can't run. the dude hits his WRs in stride and doesnt turn the ball over. offense scheme helps for sure but the guy is good

id agree with that. althoh the better team was way out of their element, and was very vulnerable. but what team is better right now? saints, yes
agree. Saints were ripe for picking. A more experienced team woulda plucked 'em.

Experience just won, which is why if the Saints were gonna win a roadie, this was the team they would beat

cant believe perople are trashing Foles

JFC

its amazing. look how the team was playing with Vick. If he were a 1st round pick and palyed this way everyone would be singing his praises, but since he wasnt, people want to look for things to hate on bc they can't believe that a 3rd rounder is doing this.

Pretty sure 200 yards and 2 tds is a classic Russell Wilson line

Read my full comment...I think his hands and feet are too slow...don't care he isn't 4.4 40....perfect example is when he got sacked on the drive they missed the fg...quicker release or quicker feet he could avoid the sack and get rid of it away...I don't think foles lost the game yesterday and I'm saying he gets next year...

I think payton won this game...Jane plan was brilliant...also think chip fucked up a little bit getting the rock into djax hands somehow in the first half..that's inexcusable..try a wr screen or something

Foles is what he is. You can win with him. You're probably never gonna win a title because of him. He's a middle of the pack guy. But he's never going to have as good a statistical year as he did this year again and if you don't think QB is an upgradeable spot for the birds I don't know what to tell ya...

Given the options, this year's probably not the year to do it, but to close the door on it entirely and be like "foles is definitely the guy there's no way we can do better" is foolish

well we can agree here a ton. no short screens at all the last 2 games. wtf chip? u can do TE screens and u can do WR screens to djax and they didnt do one. makes zero sense

also don't but the "this was our chance" mindset...it was chips first year. think hes a really really good coach and the team has bought into this. kinda reminds me of the phillies when they were coming into their own, first year they won the division on the last day of the year, and then were knocked out of the playoffs in rd 1 by colorado. the next year....

of course you could get Tom Brady. QBs are hard to come by bro....He was a kid in a game last night. He didnt turn the ball over. The HOF'er across from him threw 2 INTS....what in the fuck do you want?

unreal the way you backed that loser Vick and you are giving Foles shit

you wouldnt have been in that game if Vick plays the whole year

exactly. thought the kid played great and id take him on my team any day. i understand that he didnt try any bombs to djax, but id much rather foles than a guy like stafford who is gonna throw a few 40-50 yard bombs to calvin but then also give the ball to the other team twice a game

No I agree I love chip and as I said in twinks thread yesterday I though the coach and qb were a but green and that would show and it did...I'm very optimistic for the future of the team...I think chip labs and adapts...I'm excited for the future fir the first time in awhile

:shake:

well said. also loved fat andy blowing that huge lead in KC. Now it is 100% obnoxious to blame Andy and not the defense for that, but Andy also got real soft and took his foot off the pedal on both sides of the ball. Just made me happy he was no longer here

Foles is probably the easiest read on the offseason, actually. Just ask yourself this. This was his first year under center, did he do enough to warrant a full year, plus a full offseason as the starter?

I can't see how you could possibly answer no. This team really should have been 6-10, but the NFC East was pathetic and the offense started to click. And say whatever you want, but a large part of that was Foles. Not as much as Shady, but all the guy did was throw touchdowns all year. Sure, he looked like he'd never been to the playoffs before yesterday—wait, he never has been to the playoffs before. Holy shit, now it all makes sense.

Barring injury, Nick Foles is your starter next year. If they draft a QB higher than the 5th round I'll be surprised. To Smoke's point, not that the door is shut, that would be foolish, but at this point it's Foles' job to lose.
