Alabama LB issues...

Alabama outside linebackers Terrell Lewis and Christian Miller both suffered season-ending injuries during Saturday's win over No. 3 Florida State, coach Nick Saban said Monday.

Lewis, a sophomore, injured his elbow; Miller, a fourth-year junior, was done in by a torn biceps. Both will have surgery soon.

The losses leave No. 1 Alabama short-handed at linebacker with Rashaan Evansnursing a groin injury and Anfernee Jennings dealing with a sprained ankle. Saban labeled both as "questionable."

Memphis is down a few guys on D. 2016 reserve and now starting NT Jared Gentry plus reserve LB Darian Porter left on carts and are out the year. Starting OLB Jackson Dillon was also injured and out this week.

On the interior of the DL True frosh O'Bryan Goodson has been getting high reviews and will play more with Gentry out. rFr Tate will also be forced into more time.

Starting DT Jonathan Wilson (final 8 starts '16) was ejected in the 2nd half for targeting so is out 1st half this week.

Baylor lost RB JaMycal Hasty to a sprained knee, out several weeks. Terrence Williams still out with shoulder injury. Shock Linwood is gone. So top 3 RBs from 2016 not available. They are starting true freshman John Lovett (14-89-2TD after Hasty got hurt) with converted tr fr WR Trestan Ebner and a walkon Dru Dixon also in the mix.

Baylor All-Big Xll DE KJ Smith is doutbful right now with shin splints. The secondary may get a couple guys back this week, most notably Davion Hall.

Indiana 2016 leading receiver Nick Westbrook was injured on the opening KO and is out the year with ACL.

Purdue RB Markel Jones leading 2016 rusher and #2 returning receiver (5th overall) to miss some time with a knee injury from a 2nd qrt KO vs LV.
