HonestD 2018 MLB System Thread

Not a good night last night going 1-5 for -498. Had a feeling it was going to be a close night between winning big, breaking even, or losing big. Unfortunately the latter innings got us in all three games.

Updated System Record: 22-17 (+585)
Favorites System: 9-4 (+239)
Dogs System: 13-10 (+704) *Streaky system. Will win 3-4 in a row and then lose 3-4 in a row and we profit the cheese. Dogs currently 10-13 for (+298) since All-star week.
D2F System: 0-3 (-358)

Updated System Record: 23-19 (+4.85u)

Slow week. Not a lot of picks and most of them were dogs. There is a discrepancy between the posting record and record for the dogs system because the RL games aren't factored into the weekly system records.

Two more dog losses.

For those seasoned baseball experts out there. Do you think at this point in the season, the dogs will regress? All comments welcome and appreciated!

It depends on the team really. You can see some teams that are out of it still play hard every day, as opposed to some who just throw in the towel.

Updated System Performance since August 3rd: 26-23 ($366)

After a stretch of dog system games going 1-9 on the ML and RL combined, still up money since posting almost a month ago. :whoohoo2:

Finding our way again winning our last 6 in a row.

Was out of the house, and was not able to post in detail as normal. This is just an update on the pricing of the plays listed above.

Red Sox -209 *Favorites System
Pirates +111 and +1.5 (-189) *Dogs System

Reds +110 and +1.5 (-186)

Almost a huge night to end the week but the Pirates couldn't hold on though, unfortunately. We did, however, end up with a small profit after being down a ton to start the week which was a morale victory.

Updated System Performance since August 3rd: 34-26 (+$813)

Pretty minimal gains this month, but still a profit. :haveaniceday:

The Dogs System since the ASG is 14-16 on the ML for $512 and 17-13 on the RL for about even money. The dogs on the RL started the season 36-11 in the first 47 games but have slowed down dramatically since then. Obviously it was over performance to some extent, but they haven't given that profit back, just haven't made much since then.
None the less,. it will be interesting to see if the early season explosion and late season lag trend continues in the seasons going forth for the doggos. :idk:

Throughout the course of the entire season, do bettors care more about where they end up at the end, or do they micromanage when the wins and losses occur. For example, if you make a lot of money in the first half of the season, but go two to three months towards the end and break even in the second half, are you still satisfied as if you had a steady uphill grind to the same amount? It's all perception, just interested in knowing how others approach the mindset of it all. Opinions and thoughts appreciated.
