All plays and writeups will be in this thread. A little about me and my baseball background. I've been wagering on horses since I was a very little kid, football and basketball since a teenager. Betting baseball seemed weird to me and it was a sport I wasn't really into, I bet a couple of games here and there but nothing regularly.. I started "seriously" wagering on baseball in 2006 and my first season was nothing short of a trainwreck. I had no idea what I was doing and ended up poorly. Gave it another try in 2007 and since then I've done very well and have made profit every year since.

2006: Terrible
2007: GREAT
2008: Barely made profit
2009: GREAT
2010: Very good
2011: Very good
2012: GREAT



One thing I've had EXTREME success with is fading a certain team for a predetermined amount of time.

This fade or follows of teams are my favorite thing to in gambling..

What you can expect, I wager on everything. team totals, runlines, faves and dogs. I do a lot of -1s on faves and I'm not afraid to wager on dogs cause thats where the money is. Starting pitching is important but not the only thing I look at. I like to fade cold teams and tired BPs. Baseball is a very mental sport and when a team is going bad they can lose a lot of games in a row. Its very common for teams to hit .180-.200 for a prolonged period of time.

I usually start out slow and get a feel for the teams. July is typically my best month, I've had some epic July's.

Its all about value. Don't bet the team bet the odds.
I've very serious about baseball wagering. It is , not might be.. IT IS the best sport to wager on.

I'm going with King Felix and the + odds here. Seattle is going to be a nice little team to wager on this season. You can read my writeup in the preview thread. Seattle has been hitting the ball in the spring and they are coming in healthy. King Felix has a good attitude and I think he wants to prove that the 175 million was worth it with a good first start.

I expect the A's to regress considerably this season and the M's to do the opposite.

Its early in season, taking it easy to start.

Cubs always fade worthy, especially on the road.. I've always like Teheran, he has very good stuff and I think this is the season he breaks out.
He's been very well regarded.. Villanueva is not a worthy starter. Cubs BP sucks, Marmol could always blow it. Cubs offense hasn't done much of anything all season. Braves @ home vs Cubs and a pitcher who is average or below.

I think you will be able to make $$ off Teheran this season gentleman.

Teheran had a 1.04 ERA in spring. 35/9 K/BB ratio and pitched as good as anyone in spring. Expectations are high and this is the season
he comes to fruition.

This is not something you want to deal with in general but especially when going against a potent lineup like the REDS.

Reds bats have done well so far this season batting .278 with a .353 OBP. Cards are batting .241 and have a .293 OBP.. Reds have 12 HRs, Cards 4HRs.

This Astros team has also ALREADY lost 6 in a row, getting shut out in 3 of them, with last night's 3-0 being the closest game they have played...seems tough to call backing this team a "win or lose good wager" seems the embarrassment that they are kills most perceived value in lines, but I hope you get it.
 
M's pitcher has never pitched above double A. Got shelled in first game vs major league players.. He is -155.. Thats a bad wager.
