Thanks for the good words BC - always use the info you research in picking my plays. Glad we both cashed in that ticket.

On to Fryday. I'm playing a fairly large card tonight, and I feel some of the plays are ill-advised. The last couple days have been great for me in college hoops and college ball so I'm not too concerned... I'm still 1/2 asleep and this Hazelnut Cappicuno at work isn't helping much yet so I probably wont have a quality writeup.

My intial plays:

Thats about it for tonight. My intial thought on that Cavs game was to take the points but after looking at it more I believe the Cavs may continue to roll. Either way, Mil runs a ton and if the Cavs shoot >50% I believe this goes over.
Rockets are w/o Yao and have no offense. I will be surprized if they come up with more than 23 a quarter.
Kings play defense and so does the clipshow. If K. Mart has a bad game this goes under for sure. Knicks look like a solid situational play and Redd always throws up a ton of points when he's in OH.

Yes this is a contradiction to my 1stH over. After hearing the interview with Cavs coach I believe they come out and play defense the first 12 mins.

I like it the fact Killa is playing it. I also like the fact that when I breakdown the game lots of things point to chi having a great game.

Basically the wiz run all the time. They will score 100+ in almost every game vs another team that will run if needed. Chi is a jump shooting team, we all know this, nothing new. But the answer to the million dollar question is whether or not they shoot well. If they do they will compete for the win and this game will be a close match equaling a solid over play. If they shoot jumpers like shit then this over is toast.

Here's to Chitown hitting some jumpers tomorrow.

Well, it has been a while...

After the exit of Pinnacle and Neteller (the way in which 95% of my bets were placed), I decided to take a short break on the season as Feburary is a tough month in hoops for me anyways...
But... I've got alternative methods worked out and I'm looking to finish the NBA season strong.

March is the money month in NBA. It's the month that determines who's going to make the playoffs and who's looking to rebuild next season. Which creates interesting situations.

Today I'm taking (it's not a surprize):

NO Hornets -5 -105 (2.1u to win 2u)

My thoughts about this one...

1) What are the Celtics playing for this late in the season? Durant/Oden?

2) Hornets have a chance to make the playoffs - granted, it has to be a significant run - but they have a chance.

3) I like to bet home teams late in the season.

Overall, this game feels like a nailbiter win. I just can't overlook how bad the Celtics have been this season.

Thoughts on today....

Nugz game line just feels off to me.

Cavs should play some defense.

Opinions...

Nuggets always play well 1stQ and Nets sometimes sputter out of the gate. I'll throw some coin on the Nugz to open this TNT game with some flair.

As for the Cavs game...

1 of 2 things will happen.

Charlotte shows up, keeps it close and covers the spread. (103-98 Cavs)

Charlotte does their usual slacking and throw up long jumpers. (99-87 Cavs)

I'm going with the under play on Charlotte TT. It's low compared to their avg, but all teams who play against the Cavs have lower TTs than normal...

Thoughts on these games/././.:

Both the Cavs and Dallas play defense, like to run sets/plays and run the clock. I see this game being run away with by Dallas, so a stab at the under is a good call IMO.

Dallas -3 is just a bargain for me. The Cavs are not as good as Dallas. Simple as that to me. I feel a letdown for Cleveland. I believe they lay a big fat (and I mean FAT) egg in this game.

Pacers/Spurs I dont see either team hitting 90 lol

Twolves is a tail and also based on the fact they might make the playoffs this year if they actually come to play in a couple games down the wire. Ricky D is one of my biggest disappointments this year in the NBA. Maybe he will show me something to close out this month. We'll see...

And last but not least, I'll take the Wiz to out shoot the Sonics.

Indy is hopeless this year and I believe they tank a couple to rebuild.

There really is not much else I like on this card.

No need for explaination on these plays. Cleveland should hit 90 in this game, even if they play some heavy defense on the Knicks, who really dont play much defense. Plus its at MSG and people are there to see LBJ score points.

Houston and Clippers are both slow teams that work the 1/2 court game. Unless this one is close with some useless FTs at the end I dont see this one hitting over 180.

The reasoning behind this one is simple. When the Nuggets hit over 100 they win games. They know this and will try very hard to push the ball and score in triple digits. San Antonio runs slower halfcourt sets, but they can run the ball as well with Parker and Ginobili. It's playoff time now and Melo/AI are not going to miss.

11-2 run in April. It's time to close out the month strong.

I'm playing these two plays for a couple reasons.

#1 Suns do not want to play another game against the Lakers like the last one. They will look to run more and they WILL shoot better than last game. Lakers usually start the game strong as long as Kobe plays decent. I saw him play well in the last game and I don't see any difference in this one.

#2 Heat need a win. I strongly believe the league sat down with the refs and told them not to call as many fouls on certain star players. No one wants to watch the last couple minutes without those players and the league knows this. Thus Miami has a good chance if both players can stay in the game tonight.

Playoffs are in mid swing now and I've been trying to find good value bets as most of these lines are tight

Tonight I am taking

Lebron James under 36.5 Points + Rebounds -110 (2.2u to win 2u)

LBJ could easily hit over this mark in points alone, but averaging the point distribution across the last 2 months and esp weighing in on the matchups against the Nets and VCarter in particular lead me to believe he gets around the low 20s and under 10 boards giving this prop some value as I see it 60/40 in favor of the under.

I also believe the Suns roll tonight by double digits, but I will only be watching...

I believe this is the game that changes the series in the Cavs favor.

The books are trying to sell the Nets as a team that can compete with the Cavs. Only chance this is going to happen is if the Cavs lay a big fat egg. The Nets just do not have it IMO. Cavs take control of the series tonight and win by 8.
