trends/thoughts/discuss 'an_horse'

That total in Texas looks awful high with the way Loe has been pitching. Odds are either Loe or Guthrie should have a good game and 10 would be too high.

nym/hou over 9.5 (pelfrey v wandy)
- pelfrey is clearly not ready for the bigs
- maybe the mets are now ready to go after the beat down they took from the rockies since they've been on cruise control for a while.

bal/tex under 10 (guthrie v loe)
- 10 looks ridiculous with the way these two have been pitching lately, that's all (guthrie pretty much all year, loe since getting called back up)

couple of attractive totals without any research, especially the 2nd

I actually like the Skankee bastards.

Angels in patchy form (3-6 L9 after tonight), everyone remembers the sweep they executed in the Bronx not that long ago. Yanks love Colon, whose ERA for his last 4 road starts has been 4.50, 6.00, 9.00 & 12.47. Pettitte has bounced back from his 3 previous bad starts (8+ ERA) this season and his ERA over his 4 home starts, previous to that debacle vs the A's, was 2.09

I've little doubt there'll be a host of talk about the Angels being value for these Bronx games, but I wouldnt be suprised to see NYK go 2-1 (winning w/Pettitte & Wang), even 3-0.

I'll also note: as dodgy as the Yankee pitching staff has been, ever since their biggest losing streak of the season ended (7 straight losses, 4/27) they have not conceded 6+ runs over 3 straight games. They enter this Angel's game having conceded 6 & 6 their last 2 games.

Leans so far, working on the card now:

Brewers- have to get their head out of their ass. Number is a little rich though

Reds- this one is looking like a play.. Lohse at this price at home. D backs are in a huge funk.

Phillies plus money- very likely play.

Tigers at near pick. Fade on Tavarez

Blue Jays, halladay will also be on the very short list

D -rays, Shields at a pick has my attention.

Also, Cards SF under the number. I am not a totals player but will play something that looks obvious.. This one looks good.

Anyone up for discussion?

colon is fade material. but a-rod is a big part of that

20/45 - 8 HRs, 17 RBIs

I guess dream weaver is pitching well so under 8 in oak, i just dont want to bet an under on him and then he gets torched.

I think he is due to get torched. I have watched his last three starts because he is a pitcher you can win money on if you can time his fall.. I am not betting aginst him yet but I will never bet for him either on the side or the under.:shake:

ill just post some thoughts of argument for a couple, dont really have a problem with the others.

phillies - yes +money but francis has been one of the best pitchers in the past couple of months, minus the cubs game. also a lefty matchup vs the phils, not their forte.

tb - shields is at an attractive price but besides his last outting, the past month has been brutal and the d-rays are now on an 11 game slide and no al reyes means their bullpen is completely shot. royals not swinging terribly right now.

MAHOLM looks good :smiley_acbe: i`m drunk so pay:wacka wacka: no mind

Had a couple Grey Goose and red Bulls myself.. For me it brings clarity. Pirates are on a roll for sure. Marquis has settled into his normal state of being a much below average pitcher .. GL

I like:
Pirates, because they start playing something. They played well against Sheets. LaRoche finaly started hitting...

Arizona, because Reds are still one of the weakest teams in MLB. Arizona with 47 wins this year and on other side Reds just with 33 and home record 17-26. I like little Owings here as small dog.

Cardinals RL, Maroth plays every second game for 7 ininngs and with one earned run and every second he fucks up. I am joking, but i f we look, he played well against brewers (7 ininngs, 1 run), then awfull against WSH (5 ininng, 4 runs), then again very good Mets (7 ininng and 1 run), then again very bad (3 ininng and 5 runs). This will be his first match in StLouis for new team and I hope he will continue his tradition :-)

Braves, they have strongest offense, they send home Penny after 4 ininngs. I hope they'll continue with their offensive plays.

loved the pirates lineup today ...DOUMIT hjave t o find a position for this guy,Laroche welcome to the show your ticket has been at the dorr all season...bring on the cubbies ...that all i have to say about that ..:wacka wacka::drinking::36_11_6::cheers:

man i'm behind in the discussion but i can't believe that total in the rangers game, i agree with all above

possible leans at 3am

mets over
cards -114
wsux -109
rangers under

ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh i cant fucking sleep. took a nap in the afternoon and been studying for a test i have in 5 1/2 hours. shit.

anyways

all of those look solid except the fact you need to get run support for the cards and sux

I don't know what the hell I am doing up right now (9am), about 4 hours too early for me. Good luck on the test.

True, run support is hard to come by with those teams. Drawn in by the short prices.

Have to love Rockies -1 since it will get you some better value. Francis will dominate the Phillies and Rockies gained some swagger back home trumping the Mutts. Phillies vs. LHP = Joke

Still looking through this card

pelfrey may not be ready for the bigs, and nym may finally be ready to play ball; but betting on houston's bats is suicide. go to harrah's, play some blackjack, get some free drinks, and maybe pick up a broad... but do not bet on the houston bats

The Sports Xchange notes: RHP Kyle Kendrick admitted after Sunday's victory that he's been pitching with a strained right groin for the past two starts, an injury that forced him to occasionally pitch from the stretch without runners on base. Kendrick, a rookie right-hander who is being counted on to stabilize the rotation in the aftermath of possible season-ending injuries to Freddy Garcia and Jon Lieber, said he tweaked his groin during a June 19 start at Cleveland and aggravated it by running to second base in the third inning Sunday. But the injury hasn't affected his performance. endrick is 3-0 with a 4.38 ERA in four starts since being recalled from Double-A Reading. "My velocity was a little down because it hurt to push off," said Kendrick, who doesn't expect to miss his next start, slated for Friday night at Colorado. He remains a decent NL-only Fantasy option since he's pitching well with the injury.
