Mirror game of last night's game in Houston, in Detroit tonight. Dallas, from WC is not getting the 6 points against Pistons from EC, both battling for playoff spot in their conferences...

Pretty tough remaining schedule for Memphis. If they win 2 games they should be good. They don't have one game remaining which i think they should definitely win.... The players have overachieved for so long... Eventually that catches up to you. The rockets should go 5-1 or better their remaining 6 games.
 
All they need is Dallas, Utah or Houston to split their remaining games if Memphis losses all the games and if Memphis wins at least one game, all they need is Utah or Dallas to lose one more game (since they meet each other).

Just one of my friends said he saw an article that Memphis probably won't make the playoffs (due to their schedule) and I think it's nuts...
 
It's definitely not probable because so much has to go wrong for that to happen but it wouldn't surprise me.

The Wizards still have playoff hopes and have Morris playing in Phoenix for the first time after the turmoil the two sides went through. Beal called the team out accusing them of quitting. The Suns don't know how to play defense.

It is a fact that the Wizards have not been officially eliminated from the playoffs, and therefore have something to play for. It's also a fact that Beal called out the team for quitting. The motivation may not carry over to a win (it didn't in SAC), but the Wizards should be the more motivated team.
 
This Cavs team is soft. If they played in the west they'd probably be a 6 or 7 seed having to play the season in the west. They're in the east though so they'll be in the finals.
 
They're more bored or moody or immature or unprofessional than soft. That would be the least of my worries. Their record against the west home and away the last two years is outstanding. They're more prone to shitting the bed against the Nets or the Pistons.
 
And of course they'll be in the finals. Who's going to beat 'em, Toronto? Please.
 
The west has two historically great teams this season, but please don't suggest Cleveland would finish behind OKC, the Clips, Memphis, Portland if they were thrown to the western wolves. They mop the floor with those teams almost every time they play them.
 
Nobody in the east can beat them 4 times in a series. A healthy Miami team can test them but will come up short. But in the west they won't even make the western conference finals.

All the talent in the world but terribly put together. Lebron is a terrible, bad GM. And this season is already ruined with his "dream" of essentially playing with anybody else than the team he put together.

He's now called "the best player in the East". Man, have things gotten bad quickly for the self-proclaimed King.

I know you don't understand the NBA. The Jazz at home are insanely tough and the altitude will get you that game or your next game. Really same thing with the Nuggets. Funny you mentioned the Jazz as I made the point right before that using them.

Arguing NBA isn't really your thing tip. I'll leave you be here.
 
You know, there's a way to determine how the Cavs fare against the west. We could just look up the record.
 
Saying they'd be 3rd/4th in the West is a good thing?

When they're supposed to be -500 to win it every year but the freakshow that the team, city, and LBJ is makes them some sort of underdog?

Just an embarrassment. Really.
 
I'm not saying anything other than they appear to be the third best team in the league. And tangentially, that the bottom of the west offers a lot of easy wins.
