I'm a big fan of the FCS playoffs. I know the teams who always seem to be in the playoffs, but don't have much knowledge of how they fared during the season or how they compare this year.

I'll be watching any of the games that are televised

I watched in April and May. Felt like I was in the twilight light zone. Good to see this land in December again.

I watched some of the Holy Cross/Sacred Heart game. HC qb was awful. Somehow made a few plays at the end to bring them back. I'd blindly play Villanova based on that. But will look further into it.

Montana/EWU is a very good game on paper

Probably take SDSU over Sac St, even on the road I'm not sure it shouldn't be double digits

No shocker that Kennesaw at ETSU is the lowest spread, it's one I'd really have to look at

The other seeded teams should be in good shape and looks like they are lined accordingly. Montana St gets that fortunate draw of hosting a team that not only has to travel but into a climate that should favor the home team. Probably goes w/o saying that playing against NDSU, Nova, SHSU, and James Madison (especially at home) is risky business

SDSU at Nova next round would be awesome as would the winner of the Montana/EWU at James Madison. NDSU shouldn't have any trouble getting to the semis per usual.

I’m leaning NDSU and Villanova mainly based on the opinion that their opponents won’t be able to put up enough points to stay within two scores in either matchup. I don’t trust Nova’s offense as much as I do NDSU’s, so will probably just roll with them before the line hits 14.

SHSU will score in droves, trying to figure out if UIW can keep pace. Somewhat local flair to that one between SA and Huntsville, could be exciting. SHSU defense has been a bit stingy at home but 40 something to upper 20s/low 30s would make some sense. Obviously a lean to over.

I had my biggest play of the year on Eastern Washington against Northern Iowa last week. I did not understand the line. Eastern Wash was ranked 4th in the country and Northern Iowa was not even ranked and I had to give only 5 points on EW at home.

EWU/Grizz is a rematch from earlier this season that EWU won with 24 4th quarter pts after being down 21-10 after 3...that was an EWU home game, only losses for Grizz are that one and at home to the 4 seed Sac St.

Thing to remember is most of the teams left are the cream of the crop and their losses for the most part have come against other highly ranked teams. EWU's two losses were both at home to Montana St and Weber St who were also in the top 10 most of the season if not all of it.

I looked at SHSU when I was researching all of the DD favs and they were close to making the cut but just felt NDSU was a stronger play so decided not to force it as I have no problem admitting I know next to nothing about Incarnate Word.

Leaning towards the over in the SDSU game as both teams should be able to get in the 27+ range give or take, even with the running game being a focus, as I expect more than a few big gains, so educate me on what I may be missing in this one…

EW and Montana should be a dandy. Kinda like getting that 3 and a hook with EW.

I like Kennesaw. Think they are the better team.

May take Sac St plus the points at home. Looks like a shootout.

I'm not as high on SHSU. This IW can keep it under DDs although the over might be the better play.

This will be the best team Holy Cross has played all year. Hard for me to ignore Nova winning at JMU. HC is the lowest ranked team left in the numbers I ran.

The more I look at that nova game, I just don’t see how HC moves the ball consistently against the Nova defense. Starting to like it under 14 the more I look at it. Also reviewing my overs as I think the SDSU one is a little better than the SHSU one although I could see both in the 60s potentially.

Ugly 0-2 for me. Nova was really unimpressive. I'll fire some more today. Fade away.

I played these earlier so numbers have changed.

KSU ml -140
Incarnate Word +14
Sac St +8.5

I thought you had the HC-Nova Under as well last night CPA?

I had that Under off of reading posts here, so thank you. I teased Nova (which looked pretty good until a 16-7 2nd H by HC) filled that teaser with EW...which is funny because I almost never tease college, figures to lose both sides! Then at HT I took Montana -1 down 20-21 even though I had teased EW to DD, thought getting Montana to just win the game at home was good. EW probably outplayed them in the 1st H, but quite the strong effort out of the locker room by the Montana boys. So I went 2-1 having no F'ing idea at all. With FBS games today, I don't think I venture into FCS games.

Sounds like Sam Houston is pretty great, but I am a little familiar with Incarnate Word and they can score, I know that.

Nah. I only played Nova.

I goofed around the last month or so making my numbers for FCS and had SH 5th. Had EW 4th fwiw. So I was a little lower on them than most. Kinda why I was on Incarnate Ward. I had 11 points difference on the 2

Think I'm liking Montana +. Should be a great game.

Under in Nova/SDSU. Kind of a rough trip for SDSU. Sacramento to Philly. Sure wasn't impressed with Nova last week.

I figured SH would be at least -7. I'm not as high on them as others but not having to lay a TD is intriguing.

I think the line on ETSU/NDSU is too high but I've seen way too many beatdowns in the Dome to play the dog. May look at the over/under there.

South Dakota State didn't score in the 2nd H I don't think last week. But they looked great in the 1st H.

Yeah that seems like a ton to give a solid East Tennessee bunch this far into the playoffs. Granted ETSU shouldn't have won last week, line might be a bit of an overreaction to that.

Betting or not, the bottom half of this bracket might be the best football we see this season

Anybody got insight on this game tonight between the Grizz and Dukes?
I have the same question, inZane.

I haven't seen either team all year, but know them both from past years and checked this year's schedule to see how they've done. I always like taking the points, but I recall how good James Madison has been and it's a two-time zone trip for Montana so I don't have any solid basis for either side

Anyone have any thoughts on the total?

Would start with what you posted...history of Grizz going East

I will do this game in an hour or so. Like catching points naturally but don't know much else yet. Need to look at weather.

Two powerhouses, hope the wagers are fun enough you can just enjoy it and hope it lives up

Thanks, KJ, looking forward to your insights.

And include the total if you have an opinion

Will go into more depth before kickoff, not sure the lines anyone has

I suggest: Montana +7.5
Montana tt over 17 (guess, don't have it)
Humphrey over rushing yards (don't have it)

Hopefully it lives up to they hype, what an awesome game on paper

Any opinion on the total
Over for the team you think wins. I don't think it's 17-16

Everything for me says Montana get into 30s, I really don't even think that's forced

I'll try to be on during the game for live stuff, been a rough week so this one could be a great cool down

Not looking good for the Griz. Lost their qb and a solid wr. JMU miscues keeping it close.

Why with so much football left?

I may bet a bowl game here or there, but to me there's too much uncertainty. Players opting out, interim coaches, players in the portal, no way to know which teams are treating a game as a vacation and which ones are going to play hard.

Oregon/Oklahoma is a good example. Head coach of both teams left, interim coaches on both teams who will only coach this one game, lots of players in the portal or opting out, both teams ended the season on a down note, a minor bowl so no way to know if either team really wants to be there.

Now and then I see a good opportunity like Florida/Oklahoma last year when the best Florida players opted out and the Gators obviously didn't even want to play a bowl game and Oklahoma only hit their stride late in the season and were dying to play a bowl game and I'll bet it, but otherwise I don't see any reason to risk my money on unknown factors.

I bet one of the late bowls now and then too when I know both teams are treating it as an important game. Biggest bet I've ever made was a couple of years ago when Oklahoma played LSU in the playoffs. I knew LSU was going all out and knew Oklahoma had no chance so I laid the point with LSU

But I can't handicap most bowl games so I confine myself to small bets or parlays
