Lol. I don’t really pay much attention, I just have on for backround noise while I’m capping games. He does have 3-4 guest that come on weekly I really like, joe Klatt and cosell being on top the list.

i like Hurts!! im not sure he has the talent level in his arm to truly be a franchise qb in the nfl but he seems like a good kid and he def has a incredible work ethic as ive seen him improve pretty much every year going back to the start at bama all the way up until now.. i gotta root for kids that might not be as talented but put in the work!! he appears to have really good leadership qualities as well, which goes hand and hand with work ethic imo..him and the others riley has molded all pretty much had the ability to run around, dont think rattler really does. i guess not baker but he was a great pg in this offense..

I sure don’t get the hype with him? I assume sooners offense will start scoring more at some point (kinda inevitable in the big12) and all a sudden the narrative will flip back to how great he is, or how he now has it figured out.

Best is exploiting that the B12 doesn't play defense perception

That's been over for a couple years, great capping tool if you like it. Several pretty good defenses in there

Yea I knew when I said it id probably get push back (deservedly so), I play a lot of big12 unders. And you right the perception is crazy, anytime I bring up one of them at casino I get the strangest looks! Nobody ever wants to get on those with me! Lol
 
I wouldn’t say many of them play great defense but most better than they get credit for. Isu the only one I think defense is up there w best in country but k-st, okie lite, wvu, all play solid d. Not sure bout tcu, their scheme can cause problems but also think they easily torched. Sooners defense is decent. Not sure bout Baylor or texas texh this year? Horns got bullied against hogs.

It's all relative

Have never thought they were a great conference but they tend to push buttons on how to play the game offensively and defensively as opposed to the other cookie cutters elsewhere

That's a big change in the Big 12 that most public handicappers missed. Riley doesn't run the hurry up anymore and likes to keep the ball on the ground late in the game. Briles is long gone from Baylor and they have a defensive guy as coach. The air raid is long gone from Tech and they are run by a guy who slows it down. Gundy has no passer and his receivers are either injured or subpar so he now runs the ball--a total of 7 passes last week.

And there are no first round draft choices at QB in the league anymore. Big difference

I'm obviously an ISU guy and we've never had a better defense in my lifetime...but have damn near the same guys we've had for the last couple years
 
Anyone have a feel for W Forest/Virginia? I haven't heard any of the public handicappers mention it. I know they were all on W Forest last week and they were right. I lost with Virginia v N Carolina, but I thought they played well and had the lead late before getting overwhelmed

I'd like to make a small TV bet on the game, but don't have a feel except maybe the over, my go-to bet when I don't see anything else

I lean over - totals that high just always scare me. I think both teams have their way scoring.

liberty really pissed that game away, had a chance to go up 7 but got stuffed bunch of times on goalline.. then i think they were gonna get back but muffed a punt or something to give cuse last second fg,, think that what happened , i kinda stopped paying close attention after they got stuffed and most likely wernt gonna cover.. casino bailed me out on that one, i went up there to bet wake and liberty and their college fb was down, you would think draft kings have their shit together but said it been off the board since 11am!! lol... prob saved me some money as i most likely not just split the 2 bets bet knowing me woulda parlayed wake and liberty also, lol.. usually doesnt work out that way when for some reason i dont get bet in, almost always turns out i woulda won so i was kinda happy liberty shit the bed..

i really dunno what baylor is these days but i started liking their defense when Rhule took over.. i know this bout the big12 and im still little bit taken back by the sooners total this week!! sure feels low, im really tempted to play the over, and i play very few big12 overs, im much more a under guy in general.

As everyone said above, Oklahoma is going to put it all together at some point. I love to bet a good team on a week when the media, fans, students, and families are all on their case, giving them a hard time, criticizing them. OU deserves it and I hope it wakes them up. I think this is the week, plus W Virginia sucks on the road

Utah St may be a reach, but they play hard and they can score and the game starts at 9 am their time. Strong lean to Texas, Tennessee first half, and Tennessee game, Bama first half, UTSA.

Phil's back on UMass this week. I think it will be harder for them this week than last. Coastal only has ULM on deck so no situational angle to play against them. UMass covered last week, but they wouldn't be a team I'd ride LOL.

That is a type of card where I'd be like "this is who he's telling me to take?" He was on USF last week and didn't cover vs I forget who Florida A&M or something, now he is against them on BYU. I actually heard some radio guest handicapper say he likes USF this week. Bad look really to give out plays like those I think. Like Phil, that's the best you got?
 
wish i woulda got vols at 20 but i had to make sure hooker was gonna be qb, had no interest in backing milton.. i might join you on few of those when i go bet cash in morning.. bama 1st qrtr for sure,, that seems like stealing honestly!! im in total agreement with you guys on sooners now, just not sure if i end up playing, if my day going good and im going back up to cash tickets i might jump in!!

i was a little torn between smu and over but i hate high totals in the early kicks (half tempted to take a shot on the utah st under, dont like it but 70 with that kick time?).. one my biggest concerns with my card is damn near every one my dogs is in a game with a super high total, obviously in a perfect world i much prefer those points in some low scoring defensive battles, just not the way it worked out this week,, kinda why im on the mls also, lot more variance with shootouts imo..

i always been curious bout cbs sportsline just cause they really talk their computer up trying to sell some shit!!! as if im gonna pay them!! lol

Those Sportsline picks are they one they give free on the Inside Football show or whatever it's called with Aaron Taylor and Randy Cross and a couple of others

The computer does better than the human pickers they have on there
 
yea i dont even list those on my card cause other guys here showed me that i gotta stop worrying bout it and just freaking play them!! bama even cashed 1st half last week! my dumb ass skipped that one but wont be doing again!! ill chime back in after i get back from casino.. prob bout hour before early kicks!!

So best I could get on bama 1st qrtr was -10.5, figured didn’t matter much, not playing for a push anyhow! So that only one I added thus far, I took 25% off all 3 my morning straight bets and Kent st at 2:30, took that 25% and did 2 team parlays w all 4 of them paired with bama -10.5 1st qrtr! lol. As I mentioned I still might add those others we talked about if I cash some early tickets!
 
I know some ppl not as excited bout this card but I’m lookinv forward to lot of these today. I’m more a defense guy but today gonna be all kinds of video game shootouts I think! Nothing wrong with the occasional back and forth, high scoring, defense optional games!! Ya know it might just lend itself to being a day to live bet!! I could see a situation where we able to end up with multiple plus money bets on both teams in same game! I have had that work out with ncaa hoops a few times over the years, have rarely tried with football!!
 
Stingley out for LSU and I hear the line has dropped to -1 or pick.

Trying to handicap the N Dame/Wisc game. I don't see anything there. Lean N Dame, but don't have any reason for it. Same with K St/Ok St and aTm/Arkansas. All six teams are teams I like to bet and have good luck with, but can't see anything in any of them so far.

Added Texas -9. I think they may be a different team with Thompson at QB. After all he has OU bloodlines. Will add Tennessee first half if I can get 10x, strong lean UTSA, but I'll worry about those two after seeing how the morning goes
